If “tablescaping” is a word, is “centerpiecescaping” one, too? Because that’s what I’ve been doing. Centerpiecescaping. In fact, I recently published an entire series of books, all in the name centerpiecescaping:
Mrs. Cupcake, PhiladelphiaAge and Occupation: 27, Graphic DesignerFiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Construction Project ManagerEngagement Date: February 10, 2007Wedding Date: September, 2008Blogging Since: December 7, 2007Venue: The Desmond Hotel in Malvern, PAAbout Me: Mr. Cupcake and I hit it off at a Halloween party and immediately began a long-distance relationship. After two years, he moved to my neck of the woods, and a year and a half after that, he proposed at the “place we fell in love.” I am a true perfectionist who enjoys designing and creating more work for myself, so wedding planning is my perfect outlet. Mr. Cupcake and I are both old souls, and we hope to weave that aspect of our personalities into our wedding day.
Mr. Cupcake and I had the pleasure of attending a cake tasting this weekend. We had been to one previously with another baker, and weren’t highly impressed with the cake itself or the baker’s portfolio (filled with lots of columns, cascading flowers, and overall most things I despise about traditional wedding cakes). It was actually even difficult to tell what the cake really tasted like,…
Mrs. Petunia, Ft. LauderdaleAge and Occupation: 31, College ProfessorFiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Engineering Student/Part-time BaristaEngagement Date: December 8, 2006Wedding Date: March 2, 2008Venue: Riverside HotelBlogging Since: August 6, 2007About Me: Our original idea of running off to get married quickly turned into an event with 100+ guests once other people got involved and I, too, got swept away in the lovely madness that is wedding planning. Mr. Petunia and I are obsessed with all things World of Warcraft, Monopoly, and Nintendo, so we’re planning on including some fun “game-y” details into our wedding.
I only wore my veil for the ceremony and our formal shots (where the wind kicked it around like a kite in flight, argh). I do wish though that I would have worn it longer. It’s like some mystical shroud you’d really only wear on the day of your wedding, and that alone seems to make it special.
Mrs. Tulip, DCAge and Occupation: 36, RetiredFiance's Age and Occupation: 33, Counsel/DOO for Small Gov't ContractorEngagement Date: August 8, 2007Wedding Date: March, 2008Venue: Still Looking!About Me: In all my dreams of the man I'd someday marry, I never pictured anyone as perfect for me as Mr. Tulip. So now we just have to make it through the craziness of the wedding and the moving in together! I love crafts, sewing, jewelry making, and photography, so am looking forward to this chance for DIY fun. When not wedding planning, I'm playing with our dog and 4 cats, Ebay shopping, or watching too much TV (often simultaneously!).
Miss Magnolia, AtlantaAge and Occupation: 28, Public Affairs and Government RelationsFiance's Age and Occupation: 28, LobbyistEngagement Date: December 1, 2006Wedding Date: January, 2008Blogging Since: September 6, 2007Venue: catherdral ceremony/private club receptionAbout Me: Mr. Magnolia and I are thrilled to be planning an evening, winter wedding for 200 people in Atlanta. We both work in politics and share a love of University of Georgia football, pop culture, and good food! I'm a runner who adores wedding magazines, bad reality television, and a
good glass of wine. Most of the time I like to think I'm pretty organized, but between wedding planning, house hunting, and a full-time job, I'm being put to the test!
Okay, here we go! I’ve shown y’all some details, and you’ve seen some non-pro pics, but it’s now that time to really start posting our professional wedding pictures by the fabulous 35 Atlanta.
So here we go - pictures of me and my girls getting ready!
We didn’t actually start getting ready until about 1:30 or 2:00 in the afternoon. Since our ceremony was scheduled to begin…

I’m nothing short of obsessed with wedding planning, and am loving the do-it-yourself madness that has now taken over my life! As for me, I’m a craft-loving, martini-drinking, girly-girl who loves traveling, photography, my schnauzer, and above all, spending time with Mr. Tiramisu.
By this point in my planning I was a full-on weddingbee addict, and had a new vocabulary word that I was quite intrigued by: Gocco. My DIY fears kept me from fully considering it as an option, but bee after bee kept turning out gorgeous custom stuff- and on the cheap! I decided it was worth a closer look. On a chance flickr search,…

I am knee-deep in DIY projects to keep wedding costs low but quality high for the special day when I get to marry my bestest friend.
Oh, weddingbee community, have I told you lately that I love you? That you are the SMARTEST group of people on this earth? And, uh, the prettiest??
I’ll just get right to it: I need help! My wedding is in TWO MONTHS *gasp*!!! And I have two questions that I know weddingbee can solve. Pretty pretty please??

Adobe Photoshop has just introduced Photoshop Express, a free web-based version (nothing to download) of Photoshop that includes some of Photoshop’s most used features. They also offer 2 gb of free online photo storage so you can upload, organize, and share pictures, and even create slideshows.
Adobe Photoshop is a very powerful but expensive program, so this is an excellent alternative for photo editing software. Once I’ve played around with the program a bit, I’ll write a…

Help me, hive. I want to attach typewriter keys to the clutch of my bouquet to match Mr. LB’s typewriter key cufflinks and, well, everything else in our wedding. But I can’t decide. Do I go classic and use “LOVE” (The theme of our wedding being The Sweetest Type of Love)? Or do I go clever, and use “2 B MRS”?

I also love cats, coffee, and know every quote written on Sex & the City. I'm known to laugh really loud and have really crazy hand gestures while I talk. My fiance writes songs and I take pictures. What else? We're just a crazy young couple in love, trying to make a fabulous wedding!
I stopped by one of my favorite stores in the world yesterday, Sephora, and I saw an ad for the Soolip Wedding event on March 30th in Los Angeles that Miss Cherry Blossom recently blogged about. It’s $45 per ticket, but they have special discount tickets available if you purchase online here using the voucher code: “sephora”.
If you stop by any Sephora store, they also give away a…

Hello hive! It’s been a while. I apologize for being MIA. Mr. Eggplant and I have been really busy trying to sort out our housing situation at the moment. We are no longer purchasing the SF condo that we had planned on buying. There were some complications with the timing of the finished construction, our marriage date, and title issues. It’s a long and complicated…

Back when Weddingbee first launched and we were based only in New York, we posted all the local sample sales, trunk shows, and bridal shows. Once we went national a couple months later, we stopped posting them altogether. But with our new wiki, we’re going to bring local show and sale listings back!
We’ve started a Bridal Show Listings article here:
