About Me: Mr. Magnolia and I are thrilled to be planning an evening, winter wedding for 200 people in Atlanta. We both work in politics and share a love of University of Georgia football, pop culture, and good food! I'm a runner who adores wedding magazines, bad reality television, and a
good glass of wine. Most of the time I like to think I'm pretty organized, but between wedding planning, house hunting, and a full-time job, I'm being put to the test!
While we were primping for literally hours at our house about four and a half miles away, Mr. Magnolia and his groomsmen walked around Piedmont Park, toured the Coke Museum, and eventually made their way back to the hotel roughly fifteen minutes before they were due to start taking pictures. Our photographer, Ray, actually sat around at the Four Seasons for a couple of hours, waiting for the boys. At one point, he was approached by a security team and questioned about his photography equipment - it turns out, the Chicago Bulls were in town to play the Atlanta Hawks, and they were staying at the Four Seasons as well. Security was afraid he might be paparazzi! (Well, he was - but for me, not them!)
But hey, he got this great shot:

About Me: I can be summed up by the four things I love most: kitties, cheese, math, and Mr. Bubblegum. I am knee-deep in DIY projects to keep wedding costs low but quality high for the special day when I get to marry my bestest friend.
God, that title was so lame. I apologize.
I have a couple of dress decisions to make, so I thought I’d put them to a vote.
The first is the sash. For the months that I ogled my dress here,

I pictured it with the sash. And I even bought that exact sash. But once I got it home, I started to get nervous that the sash would be too much - especially because I will be wearing red shoes. And as it turned out, the sash that’s already attached to the dress is pretty cute. So the first poll is:
(My hair/face were looking particularly gnarly on this day, so please don’t let them influence your decision.)
Oh, and Mr. BG, you may GO NO FURTHER!

We’ve even created vendor templates, so it’s super easy for you to add vendor wikis too! We’ve added a bunch of New York venues, but we need your help with venues across the US. So please take a moment to create an entry for your wedding venue using the link below!
To make this a little more fun, anyone who creates a wiki page for a venue has a chance to win a weddingbee t-shirt of your choice! Just comment on this post when you’re done creating your venue page - the more pages you create, the better your chances of winning!

About Me: I was born and raised in Maine, now living in Annapolis, Maryland and planning a hometown wedding from afar. I’m nothing short of obsessed with wedding planning, and am loving the do-it-yourself madness that has now taken over my life! As for me, I’m a craft-loving, martini-drinking, girly-girl who loves traveling, photography, my schnauzer, and above all, spending time with Mr. Tiramisu.
Part 1
Part 2
Miss Tiramisu = dedicated new Gocco owner and suddenly a DIY believer!
Armed with my trusty new printer, I researched, planned, designed, and then carefully opened up that pretty orange box and took out the Gocco. My first project was a set of personalized stationery for my Mom’s upcoming birthday. (I know your favorite color is red Mom, but come on, the whole point is to test out the goods, so you’re getting wedding blue!). I used an adorable lily-of-the valley design- my mom’s favorite flower at least:

About Me: I recently moved to Canada from Southern California. Trying to plan a wedding in a new city, not to mention a new country, is tough, but the fact that we can get legally married here more than makes up for it! The wedding will be an opportunity for most of our family and friends to see our new city for the first time so it will be both a wedding and a reunion. Besides my future wife, I am also madly in love with a good bargain, Swedish pastries, Tivo, and my two dogs and calico cat (in no particular order).

One definite drawback to planning a wedding in a new city that has seasons is that it’s really difficult to see past the bleak, cold, rainy winter and envision places as they will look in the summer. I tried, but it just wasn’t happening at this place. Bummer because the location was great.

About Me: Between work and wedding planning, I try to squeeze in napping, drawing, random spurts of craftiness, tennis, and eating lots of Sprinkles cupcakes, dark chocolate, and noodles of all kinds. Mr. Lime and I have spent our adult lives growing up together, and we're very excited to finally be getting married!
Another quickie entry. Michael Norwood and Travis Hoehne, who second shot for him, set the scene nicely.

About Me: Likes: blogging, wikis, semi-colons, cuddling, fragrant flowers, syntax, and spooning. Dislikes: typos, dangling modifiers, flypaper, citronella candles, and run-ons. If I had my druthers, I'd exchange simple vows in a candlelit library. But I lost my druthers long ago...anyone seen them?
If “tablescaping” is a word, is “centerpiecescaping” one, too? Because that’s what I’ve been doing. Centerpiecescaping. In fact, I recently published an entire series of books, all in the name centerpiecescaping:

Engagement Date: February 10, 2007
Wedding Date: September, 2008
Blogging Since: December 7, 2007
Venue: The Desmond Hotel in Malvern, PA
About Me: Mr. Cupcake and I hit it off at a Halloween party and immediately began a long-distance relationship. After two years, he moved to my neck of the woods, and a year and a half after that, he proposed at the “place we fell in love.” I am a true perfectionist who enjoys designing and creating more work for myself, so wedding planning is my perfect outlet. Mr. Cupcake and I are both old souls, and we hope to weave that aspect of our personalities into our wedding day.
Mr. Cupcake and I had the pleasure of attending a cake tasting this weekend. We had been to one previously with another baker, and weren’t highly impressed with the cake itself or the baker’s portfolio (filled with lots of columns, cascading flowers, and overall most things I despise about traditional wedding cakes). It was actually even difficult to tell what the cake really tasted like, because the slivers he gave us were so thin that you couldn’t get a real gauge on the texture.
At my mom’s wedding back in February, we had an absolutely heavenly lemon pound cake with lemon curd, lemon buttercream, and fondant from Sweet Jazmine’s in Berwyn, PA. My mom had gone with Sweet Jazmine’s blindly, without even tasting their cake, because a friend so enthusiastically recommended them. The cake was so beyond delicious that I can’t even come up with a better word to truly express its deliciousness. It also looked completely adorable:

About Me: Our original idea of running off to get married quickly turned into an event with 100+ guests once other people got involved and I, too, got swept away in the lovely madness that is wedding planning. Mr. Petunia and I are obsessed with all things World of Warcraft, Monopoly, and Nintendo, so we’re planning on including some fun “game-y” details into our wedding.

I only wore my veil for the ceremony and our formal shots (where the wind kicked it around like a kite in flight, argh). I do wish though that I would have worn it longer. It’s like some mystical shroud you’d really only wear on the day of your wedding, and that alone seems to make it special.

About Me: In all my dreams of the man I'd someday marry, I never pictured anyone as perfect for me as Mr. Tulip. So now we just have to make it through the craziness of the wedding and the moving in together! I love crafts, sewing, jewelry making, and photography, so am looking forward to this chance for DIY fun. When not wedding planning, I'm playing with our dog and 4 cats, Ebay shopping, or watching too much TV (often simultaneously!).
Hello, all! Sorry it’s been a while — things got unbearably busy in the last weeks before our wedding. But the Tulips are now Mr. and Mrs!
