Shoe Finale… Question Mark?

April 1st, 2008 @ 1:57 pm by Mrs. Toucan

For those of you following along with my small foot pink shoe search, I bring you the finale (possibly)! Since I’m pretty indecisive, shoe boxes are filling up my small apartment, AND my credit card bill doesn’t like me so much this month, I leave it to the hive to help me choose my wedding shoes!

Which shoe should I choose?

View Results

Option A. GUESS by Marciano Kierna:

If you remember, these are the shoes I couldn’t find anywhere until Zappos notified me via email that they were finally in stock! They are so super cute, but I’m not sure how I feel about the slight toe cleavage….

Option B. GUESS by Marciano Millicent:
A pro for this shoe is that it’s super tall, but at the same time pretty comfortable. The shoe has a slight covered platform that makes the height of the shoe more bearable. The drawback would be the metallic silver heel, or as Mr. Toucan calls it - the “hooker heel.”

Option C. Jessica Bennett Hood:
Super cute, super frilly! This shoe is a satin shoe, unlike the other two, which are patent leather. However, I think that this shoe might run a little small, so they weren’t as comfortable as the other two pairs. If I go with this option, I’d order the size 6.

And lastly,

OPTION D:

Keep searching…

So, there you have it. My wedding shoe destiny officially lies in your hands…

If you can’t find any others, go with A, but keep looking, your perfect shoe is out there!

Definitely A! The story of how you finally got them is so cool, too! I think these are perfect. Beautiful, and perfect!

A…i think the toe will look better if you try it with a different nail color.

I agree there is slight toe clevage on A, but I think it’s the best of the bunch! Keep searching and if you can’t find anything else, I think A would be fine :)

@franola: I completely agree! I’m not a fan of my current toe nail color, actually. Come wedding day, I plan to pick something a little more muted. :)

Of the three - Guess Kierna is my favorite - but they look patent - which usually ends up being uncomfortable if worn too long because they don’t “move” with your feet. I also prefer a “softer” material for a wedding shoe - so I would like to combine shoe 1 and shoe 3 - style and color of shoe 1 (I think the toes look fabulous) with the material of shoe 3…. which is why I selected option 4. Good luck. Shoe shopping has been harder for me than dress shopping too! We are getting married in grass and I’m looking for an attractive wedge - feels impossible!

Of the three I like A the best, but I’m not sold on the patent leather with your dress.

love the look of A, but love the frilly-ness and satin of C…can you remind us of what your dress looks like?

@cab07: I wish I had better pictures to show you, but pictures of me in my dress are at the bottom of this post: http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/11/30/pics-of-running-of-the-brides-and-the-dress/

I would go with C but keep an eye out for something you like better. You don’t sound convinced about any of those!

I like A too, but can attest that patent leather really cuts up your feet, especially with the toe cleavage. BUT I also have sasquatch (read: size 10) feet so everything hurts!

A or C are both REALLY cute. I think that C might go slightly better with your dress though.

I seem to be in the minority, but I LOVE B! And hooker heels would have a clear heel - if you’ve been to Honolulu, you know what I’m talking about.

Personally I think your foot looks kind of cramped and uncomfortable in A…I think it looked cuter online. It was my least favorite. I voted for “keep looking.” If I had to chose any I would say pair B b/c I think your foot looks the most elegant in those…they don’t look cramped at all.

Not A — toe cleavage

Not B — hooker heel

Not C — round toe + frills = toddler shoe

So, my vote is for D– keep looking.

I just saw these on Yoox that are kind of a blend of A and B:

(enmoore66, you should also check out Yoox– they have A TON of cute wedges!)

WOW - I cannot believe I am the first one to post this comment… B is the ONLY one you said was comfortable!!!!! So either it - or keep searchin’ honey.

@Michelle: Whoops! I should have mentioned that the first pair were pretty comfy too! I guess I didn’t go much into detail about the first pair because I had kinda written about it twice already. I mentioned it in option B because they are taller, and it surprised me!

i love A and don’t mind the toe cleaveage at all. some of my most comfortable shoes are patent leather. also, band-aid makes this stuff called blister block that looks like mini deoderant and it is amazing and really works. use that no matter what shoe you pick and youll be blister free!

I love B! The “hooker heel” isn’t hooker-ish at all! I think they are beautiful!

B is best - they look like they fit perfectly and are very sleek and sophisticated.

it isn’t too much cleavage - i had a pair i tride on and i had clevage between all my toes… it was bad…. but i didn’t notice yours until you mentioned it.

If you go with the second pair you should definately buy or make shoe clips - they would really add to the shoe - otherwise its a little boring.

I don’t like the way the third shoe is shaped…

I really like C!
But then again, I personally happen to find peep-toe cleavage utterly inappropriate and unclassy (and I know I am in the extreme minority with this opinion… but I just cannot stand the look!).

I love A, but I’m ify about patent for a wedding. They look great though, and I actually like a LITTLE toe cleavage. Just a lil tho.

I think C is the most bridal- you’re not looking for something cute that you’d wear on a night out, you’re looking for a shoe for your wedding, and these look exquisite, sweet and rich simultaneously.

I voted for C, but I say keep looking a bit (don’t stress yourself out!) and go with your gut!

these are cute…pink, blingy, opentoed, size 5.5, and 3.5 inch, would make good pics.

I say go with D. I’m not trying to be a shoe snob but I’m afraid that any shoe that is patent leather, especially made by Guess, won’t be that comfortable! I think you can find a comfortable pink shoe out there somewhere! Happy hunting!

A - it has a tiny bit of toe cleavage but barely noticeable unless someone stares directly at your feet…

and a difft nailpolish color would be nice too…

i know that the vast majority loves A, but i am a traditionalist and I think satin shoes are a must for your wedding. C!

I like C best, but I didn’t get the “that’s perfect!” vibe from them. I’d go with satin, it’s more “bridey” and will be more comfortable than patent leather, which makes your feet sweat over long periods of time.

i voted for A, but mostly wanted to cast a NO vote for C.

the frillyness and the shape of the toe are not flattering - they visually “cut off” the length of your feet, and by extension, the length of your legs.

A is gorgeous, sexy, and an attention-grabber. I think I’ll pick up a pair myself! C is remarkably hideous and matronly, and B is not nearly as flattering to your foot as A is. :-)

Oh here! Aren’t these lusciously gorgeous??? Maybe not the color that you’re looking for? I still think that they’re so lovely though :-) I have them in ivory for my wedding. Good luck! I spent weeks and weeks and weeks looking for shoes. It’s a biatch.
