About Mrs. Cherry Blossom

Thanks to everyone that commented on my last post in regards to the Epic Outfit Contendors. Turns out… I may not go with any of those. T Minus 4 Days: Epics Rampage : wedding engagement pictures san francisco Sad032 sad032 And I am completely freaked out! T Minus 4 Days: Epics Rampage : wedding engagement pictures san francisco Shocked029 shocked029

I started shopping early and was pretty confident with my outfits, but then I started doubting myself since I did get opinions that the black outfit looked a bit on the business attire side and the white, I’m afraid even though it’s cute and simple, I may just look too washed out. I panicked and began ordering a truckload of outfits via Nordstroms and paid overnight shipping for them to arrive today. EEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeKKKKs!

Let me know what you think? I’ll do fashion runway picture montage for ya tonight once I get them home to try on… And get this, I’m sick again! Stupid cold/allergies! T Minus 4 Days: Epics Rampage : wedding engagement pictures san francisco Censore07 censore07 I feel so far off the sexy wagon, it just ain’t pretty here.

I really like the dress with the blue borders. It would look cute with a little sweater too, if it’s chilly at all.

It took me a while, though, to figure out what an “epic” was. I was pronouncing it like the word “epic”, and thought I was missing out on some big party or event that gets thrown for the bride! =)

it’s hard to make a judgment without seeing the clothes actually on you

i’m not honestly in love with any of the dresses…i love all the shirts though, especially the purple & blue one.

I love that first shirt-can you tell me where it was on Nordstrom so i can get one :). If you’re thinking of doing any action shots, you might want to avoid the dresses. If you do separates, you could take a big bag and stick another top and extra accessories in for quick changes.

I really love the first top with the turq and purple fading together! I still really like your first black dress too!

I’m going through the same thing right now. E-pix on Saturday! I am patiently waiting for my Forever 21 shipment now..which I’m stalking UPS for! I also made a super impulse buy of some yellow super cute pumps at my lunch break!! Who knows what I will end up wearing! But for sure it will be at least two outfits!
I hope something works out for you too!

To be honest, I’m not sure I like any of those. I think for something as important as the E-pix, you want something simple yet timeless. You don’t want to look back and say “eeekkk why did I wear that?” With that said, I’d go with something monotone and simple in its designs. Just my thoughts. Of course, you want to be in what you’re comfortable in. I always have a few stores that I default to, simple and timeless, I’d tried Banana Republic, Something trendy, I’d tried Bebe. Forever 21 or H&M can have cute items too. Good luck!

I like the black top with white pants, and the red top next to it. I think they are just simple and classy, and not looking like you’re dressing up for pictures. But that’s just me, I don’t dress up too much, so when I do, it’s obvious. :-)

Ooooh Nordstrom loves someone! Well, at least until you return all the “no” pieces!

I’m so glad you gave yourself more options. I liked your original ideas (which I commented on in detail!). The fact that you gave yourself more options means that you weren’t completely “feeling” what you had before (not that the weren’t great!). What it comes down to is that you’ve got to feel incredible, so that feeling will be echoed in your photos.

All that ramble said, here’s my (humble) opinion-

I LOVE the first and second and third shirts. I’m not feeling any of the dresses for photo reasons, as I’d be worried how the patterns and/or colors would photograph.

I say, go with one of the shirts and a great pair of jeans and shoes and also the black dress from your original options (change in a public restroom, wherever).

Oh, and hair down. It’s oh so romantic. Good luck! Can’t wait for you to post the photees!

Personally, I’d avoid the strapless unless you are one of those lucky women who aren’t constantly walking around with their hands in their armpits hoisting it up.
Also, if you’re planning on doing a clothing change, I’d say do one “modern” outfit (tops 1, 2,3; dresses 1&3) and one “romantic” outfit (top 5; dress 1,4) for a contrast.

Don’t worry too much! Just be yourself and wear something you’re comfortable in. The more you stress and fret about looking good in the photos the more you’re likely to look uncomfortable in them. You’re very beautiful and your photos will be great no matter what you wear. :D

I LOVE the pink ruffle-y dress. I saw it on the “Today” fashion segment and it looks sooooo pretty on. Also if changing.. definately the purple/turquoise ombre top…it will photograph beautifully.

Really not digging the first top. I think you’ll look at a picture of yourself in that top in five years (heck in one year) and think it looks really dated.

I like the gray top and the black top.

Of the dresses, not crazy about any of them. The blue flowered dress is the cutest on the model though. That pink dress looks like it is attacking her–way too much fabric!

We just took our epics last week in SF. Our photographer was really happy that we wore bright colors. I had a pastel yellow striped casual tee from Express. She said next time she would tell her E-pic couples to wear bright colors and definetely not black or darker colors.

For tops I like the gray, black, or maroon one. Dresses…I like the turquoise bordered one or the pink (the two in the middle). But you really do need to try it on before you know what looks best on you. Can’t wait for you to show us your modeling pics!

the one i like is the white ruffly top. i think a lot of the bright colors and bold patterns are going to look dated and you want these pictures to look classic. i would try something simple and feminine, jcrew, banana, or anthro all good places.

not sure without seeing you, but my favorites are definitely the dark gray top, the light gray dress, and the blue border dress. I’m really not a fan of the others.
And I agree about bright colors and bold patterns possibly looking dated in a few years.

My favorites, hands down are 1) the blue/gray V-neck top with stones under the bodice (so cute yet unique!!) and 2) the pink frilly dress (fun and romantic!!!).
