If you’ve gone out of your way to purchase a card to accompany your groom’s gift, as I had done, ordering a letterpress one online, I recommend putting it on your remember to-pack-for-day-of list. I suppose there are more important things I could have left behind, like our rings, but forgetting the card at home meant I had to do a late-night CVS run on the eve of our wedding. It could have been worse. I got lucky and found one of those new musical ones that played “I Walk the Line,” and Mr. Petunia is a BIG Johny Cash fan:

As for the gifts, he just loved his Monopoly terrier cufflinks (he couldn’t for the life of him figure out what would be inside the Monopoly box):
I also gave him the book I’d made on Blurb of my b-pics (not pictured here), but he was only able to sneak a quick peak because BIL Petunia was in the room with him, too. (I’ll just say once he did see it, he was quite pleased with it!)
Then his best woman came over to my room to hand me this:

Oh yeah, that is a 99 cent item box. Perhaps the box itself’s a gag? Oh no: that baby’s real:

“Um, I love it?” Then SIL Petunia arrived and Ta-Da!

Oh yeah, that’s right, shake your booty, I got me a fancy new watch and a fancy glass dolphin to boot. How low brow/high brow, just how I like it!
