When I’m not obsessing about our wedding I play the cello in my band (which Mr. Radish is in too), read as much as I can, sleep even more, travel whenever possible, and try to find time to have fun with my friends. I’m also working on finishing up my journalism degree with a concentration in environmental reporting and I’m the VP of my campus Amnesty International chapter… so I’m a pretty busy bee.

About Mrs. Radish

Little sister Radish was the maid of honor so, of course, it was her job to give a toast. She is very timid and she was nervous about it for weeks before the wedding. When she finally got up to give the toast it was so cute! I have it on video but I haven’t figured out how to upload it yet.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a copy of exactly what she read but, basically, she said how she always looked up to me growing up and wanted to be just like me when she grew up, and how she was so happy that I met my soul-mate and she hopes that someday she’ll be so lucky. It was very sweet.

During the speech she started to tear up (so did I!) and then she would start laughing at the same time. It was totally adorable! Then I started doing the same laughing/crying mix because she was. I guess we are alike ;)

Yay! Good job little sister Radish!

Did anyone else have a very memorable toast? Did you have someone very shy give your toast?

My little sister gave a great speech that really captured our relationship. She was so nervous that she was shaking and the card she was holding was flapping away. It was hilarious and sweet at the same time.

@Miss Toucan:
Thanks! I have to say, my photographer really did do a freakin’ amazing job. Plus he was very unobtrusive. I don’t even remember him being around.

i must echo the sentiments of yoru photographer. this really captured pure love and joy!

our best man is incredibly shy….although our wedding is still over 6 months away, i told my FI to tell our bestman last week that he would need to give a speech at the reception.

i really didnt want to spring it on him…and i have no doubt that it will take him a full 6 months to prepare for the moment.

The emotion caught in these photos is so beautiful. You’ll treasure these.

Mrs. Radish- every time I see your photo I can’t help but thinking how much you look like a cross between Anne Hathaway and Megan Follows (she played Anne Shirley in the Anne of Green Gables series). Beautiful!

Couldn’t have picked it better. But then the MOH couldn’t travel to the wedding due to a recent complicated childbirth, so she FedExed her speech for another bridesmaid to read. And the other two bridesmaids? Professional vocalists.

If only I’d been so clever when choosing readers for the ceremony…

Aw, such gorgeous real photos :)

I am hoping my little sister will do a toast for us too and I’m sure it would be quite similar!
