About Mrs. Caramel

Behind The Scenes

April 6th, 2008 @ 10:31 am by Mrs. Caramel

One great thing that my bridesmaid did was take pictures the day of the wedding, so we were able to get some shots that the photographer was not able to get. I was grateful to have random unprofessional candids because it made me remember how the wedding day really was.

Here’s an example of how we got my veil to float in the air for the picture:

and what was really going on…

Mr. Caramel prompting the veil…

…and then zing!!! He runs away so the photographer can capture the shot!

Here’s a classy portrait shot of the Caramels… but are we in a studio?? HMM….

NOPE! We were outside! Here’s where we really were… thanks Groomsmen! I love their facial expressions.

Sometimes the imperfect pictures are just as good as the perfect pictures!

Great pics! And by the way… I just saved a picture of you in my “wedding file” because I LOVE your hair. It is exactly what I’ve been thinking of for my wedding day hair, but haven’t been able to find a good pic. ;)

I think you’re so cute! You’re my favorite bee :)
I was wondering who you went with for you photographer? I’m trying to look for a reasonable photographer in socal and haven’t quite found “the one.” Also were you happy with them? And how did you know that your dress was “the dress?” Hahahha all our bridal planning questions :)

Gorgeous!! I was wondering whether you had any trouble walking around in your ball gown? I’m afraid that my dress might take up the aisle.. and the dance floor.. and the car door! How did you manage? Also, your make-up and accessories are perfect! What color was your eyeshadow and where did you find that necklace? Love it!

Walking around in the ball gown wasn’t too bad… I purposely made it a bit shorter so I could wear my high top sneakers, which I put on IMMEDIATELY after I walked out of the church! If you have a good seamstress, she should walk you how to walk carefully and she’ll tell your bridesmaids how to handle your bustle.

My hair & makeup was done at HAIRDAY in LA and believe it or not— my eyeshadow was slightly blue & brown. (Blue to match my bridesmaids dresses) Here are the posts to find reviews on my hair/makeup & jewelry!

He he, what a cute post! And so nice to see a bride sharing what it’s really all about rather than just the ’studio’ shots :)

What were the groomsmen holding up exactly during the “fake” studio shot? Thanks!
