Signing My Life Away

April 7th, 2008 @ 9:30 am by Mrs. Lovebug

V. small post today - the sign I made to put atop the bar, to promote our “specialty” drinks. Ironically, though, it took me ages to make. I could NOT get the spacing right to save my life.

As with everything else, I used the Urgent Telegram and Feel Script fonts. I’ve used them so much they’ve even started to look like they belong together.

Thanks to everyone who offered great typewriter-themed names for the drinks, by the way. But about five minutes after I asked for suggestions, I went ahead and banged this out anyway. Kinda that last minute get-it-down-NOW urgency.

I see what you mean, the “g’s” from something keep hitting the line below. What program did you use? I don’t think anyone will notice though, looks great!!!!

if you are using a program such as illustrator you can adjust the spacing between lines by adjusting the leading. perhaps you tried this and it still gave you a hard time? cute sign though!

great sign! You might want to consider putting a foam or cardboard backing as the sign might “sag” and “curl” as the evening progresses.
