We Would Like To Thank…

April 7th, 2008 @ 11:15 am by Mrs. Jelly Beans

Post-wedding, after the oohs and the aaahs, after the last gift was unwrapped, meticulously catalogued, alphabetized and put away, it was time to think about Thank You Cards!

I smell another DIY project in the works! Of course friends and family, Mr. Jelly Beans included, tried to convince me to succumb to the conventional store bought route. Not that there is anything wrong with store bought. Especially since there are oodles and oodles of gorgeous designs out there, but I really wanted something that would still coordinate with the theme of our wedding.

Since I was in Los Angeles for an extended period I was blessed to have full access to one my favorite stores- Paper Source. I swear I could spend hours in that store! So off I went, a woman on a mission.

Ingredients:

Heat Embossing Tool
Clear Embossing Powder
Chocolate Brown Embossing Ink Pad
Vintage Stamp
A4 Luxe Cards in Blush
A4 Luxe Envelopes in Blush
Swarovski Crystals. It surely wouldn’t be a creation a la Jelly Bean if there was no evidence of bling.

It was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be. I found it to be very therapeutic as I embossed away. I highly, highly recommend it.

This week on America’s Next Top Card Model: Posing

Pre-Bling Disclaimer: I apologize in advance but I was unable to take pictures - I know that’s hard to believe - of the cards after they were sparkelized due to the loss of sensation in both hands.

Those are awesome. I am not crafty at all but I am thinking that I could do this for the table numbers. How do you use the embossing tool? Sorry if that is ab obvious question but I am clueless!!!

Wow - those are absolutely gorgeous. And I love that you embossed both the card and the envelope. You ladies are incredible!

We used the same stamp for our invitations. Your thank you cards look wonderful…it’s inspiration for me to make our thank you’s too!

Thanks ladies!!!! :)

LisaR- I was in your shoes before I started. You stamp on your paper, then you drizzle your embossing powder to completely cover the ink, shake off the excess powder, then you use the embossing tool on an angle to heat your stamped image (a la hairdryer). Then the best part, for me anyways, was watching it get poofy! Enjoy!!! :)
