The PG Wedding Party

April 8th, 2008 @ 11:41 am by Mrs. Petunia

And by PG I mean Pink & Green (content is completely rated G, for my Gorgeous friends & family!). I thought other pink & green brides would like to see these colors at work together, if for no other reason that I myself started to question, just a few days before the wedding mind you, whether the colors would result in a garish combo. Thank goodness not!

Plus, how cute are my little brother & sister? To think that at my older brother’s wedding they were like 3 and 4, ringbearer and flower girl!

Dresses from the Watters Bridesmaids collection, dupioni silk, color Midori.

This is my wedding colors too! They look great together.

Where did you get the men’s ties from? I’ve looked all over and I still have not found the right green yet and these will look perfect!

I used these colors as well and for the men’s ties we used Daniel Cremieux “white check” tie in lime green–you can find them at Dillards–the color online doesn’t do them justice–they were a stunning shade of green–just the right amount of pop!

thank you for posting this! these are my colors too, and like you, I’m beginning to question whether or not this will look completely garish — with less than 2 months to go until the big day. My mom’s dress is vibrant green and the ‘maids are wearing a bright pink. Fortunately, the MOG is wearing black — we don’t need another bright color!

Thanks for posting this - my colors are spring green and navy with pink accents. It’s such a fresh palette!

@krystine - I’ve been searching for the right green tie too! I’ve yet to find the perfect one, but I know it’s out there…

I think this color combination looks nice as long as we don’t stray to the LIME green color or florescent. Then it would look garish.

But my bridesmaids are wearing PINK strapless tea length dress and tied with a light GREEN sash (like your bridesmaid dress green). The color just looks wonderful and so refreshing together.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pink and green! I’m doing the cymbidium orchid green and a fuschia type pink as my main colors. I think your colors looked wonderful together!

@Kristyne: Hi! The ties were rented with the tuxedos actually, from Mr. Tux

Awesome!

We had a P&G wedding on March 29, and we loved the colors — and we got so many compliments on them, too.

Thanks for the clarification Mrs. Petunia! It’s just so darn hard to pick the right green. They should do custom dyes for ties just like they do for shoes. =)

I’ve always been a fan of the pink and green, though I’m not going with those for my wedding colors. Unrelated question for you… I noticed you had your reception at the Riverside Hotel. I am looking into that location, too and was wondering if you recommend it. I may be jumping the gun since I’m assuming you have more posts coming, but I was just curious… :)
