Green Shoes??

April 10th, 2008 @ 3:27 pm by Mrs. Sundae

I keep thinking about these green shoes that Marie Labbancz shared on The Bride’s Cafe last week.

My first thought was how I would kill for those shoes, quickly followed up by the realization that I have my own pair of blue soled, peep toe shoes waiting to be dyed the color of my dress:

And we’re also the proud owners of these Brooks Brothers ties, which one could take in and give to the person who is dying my shoes for color matching:

They’re actually a brighter green than they look in the pictures. And it obviously wouldn’t have to be the exact shade of green. I am in love with my shoes, so I am not going to rush out and buy myself a pair of Christian Louboutins, but I need to have my shoes dyed anyway. I could easily dye them green instead of ivory. What do you think…traditional ivory or funky green? Are you planning to wear colored shoes?

I bought those Christian Louboutins in a patent wine color for my wedding and LLLLLLLOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEE them! However, since you already have shoes, I vote for dying them a fun green color! It makes for great pics, and its a fun little secret to have :)

Green! I’m wearing chartreuse Kate Spades and I can’t WAIT to see the looks on everyone’s faces when they see that shock of chartreuse peeking out from under my long white dress. I say go for it!

Green is our big accent color and I am hoping to either find a bright yellow green shoe or go the dyeable route. I want something fun! An ivory shoe would just not do anything for me personally and the green I would totally wear again. I would say go for it! But if you want something more traditional the ivory will look nice also.

I’m also wearing green shoes. Mine are a light green, but I am excited about them nonetheless!

go for it!

it will be fun.

you know what i would do first is put on your whole outfit with these shoes and use photo editing to color the shoes green to see what it would look like.

i did this before i made any alterations to my dress because it harder to go back in time you know.

oh and im wearing black shoes but i don’t think that counts as colored.

You’ll get a lot more use out of them if you dye them green! And that’s a gorgeous green!

I always love when I see those unexpected little pops of color!! I say do it….you will absolutely get to use green shoes again, and you probably will have little use for the ivory ones!!

GREEN!!!! I love bright shoes under a wedding dress! And you can wear them with jeans and black dresses in the future. I love that shade of green, btw.

I am in Love with a pair of green j.crew heels. I think they’d be perfect and super fun, but I can’t seem to pull the trigger on a $200 pair of shoes. Not to mention, I haven’t picked out my dress yet, and I have over a year until the wedding- I think I’d be too tempted to wear them!

FUN-KY GREEN! FUN-KY GREEN!

i’m definitely going with a fun color or printed shoe under my dress.

anything less wouldnt be holding true to my character, ;)

i actually really like your shoe. its a perfect low heel…and since my FH and i are practically the same height, i dont want much of a heel.

might just have to check it out……

Those shoes are awesome! Definitely do green =) So much better than boring white/ivory!

My mom was horrified enough by my non-white dress… not even showing her my very blue shoes ;) Amanda, you rock =)

I say go green! I think it would be a lot cooler than ivory and much more unique. It seems that red and blue are popular, so go green and be unique!
