Last Sign Post, I Promise

April 15th, 2008 @ 2:10 pm by Mrs. Lovebug

I never realized there were so many darn signs that need to be made for a wedding, good grief. Our table numbers I decided to do as simple table tents, but I wanted something cute and raised for the candy buffet, a la Mrs. Bell Pepper’s.

I picked up a pair of 4×6 sign frames from this eBay seller, which Mr. LB then spray painted silver and glued a pair of typewriter keys to. The wording is a reference to what the table will be decorated with (besides the candy itself): framed photos of couples and pairs (friends, pets, etc. being “lovey”). This idea was ripped shamelessly off of Brother Cupcake. :)

Dunno what this one will be for, since I’m not giving CDs away.

And one last detail to share - came up with a better name for the non-alcoholic drink in our drinks menu:

No more signs. Cross my wings and hope to die.

Miss LB (coincidentally, LB are my real initials!),
I have been a long time fan, but never left any comments. However, being so close to the big day for you, I wanted to tell you congratulations and best wishes for a beautiful life together, which we all know you will have! As other people have said, you have been a complete inspiration to some of us less creative brides. My personal favorite was your “Sweet Charity” post, and I decided to do it for my wedding. Started the whole process, bought my very own Xyron (half price, might I add) and then realized that you’re having 62 people to your wedding, whereas I’m having 225 or so. D’oh! Oh well, it’s a good thing I have until September, right? Haha. I also wanted to comment on your video with all of your pets, I made my fiance watch it, and he even loved it. Anyway, congratulations on everything and please, please, PLEASE post pictures of the wedding when you have them. Good luck and thank you for sharing your life with us! =)

Miss LB, I have a solution! Open your own wedding sign shop and I’ll start buying today, please! Make them for the bride (that’s me) who went to Michael’s last last night to make her own wedding signs, I ended up with nada, zip, zilch except 2 wooden sticks, blank labels, one garbage bag and me w/ a bucket of Hagaan Daaz thinking of “what would miss lovebug think of me now”.. Please do this for us!

Love, Love, Love the QWERTY drink name!!! and the signs, of course. :)
You should consult on ‘theming weddings”, I’m sure there is a market for creative ideas. I know I’d buy, as I have no theme, only a colour pallette.

as you stare down the barrel of marriage, i’d love a quick post (or comment) about how you are doing emotionally so close to the wedding!

For those of us who are still further out (over 6 mos for me) I’m wondering what possible emotions i could have the week of……..
