About Ms. Dahlia

After all of the suggestions on my previous post, I decided to bite the bullet and go with the most heavily recommended one- Jergens. When I was shopping at my local Meijer, I stocked up on two products.

Product Review: Jergens Natural Glow : wedding skincare Jergens
Jergens Natural Glow

For good measure (and because I still hadn’t found a good moisturizer), I also got this:

Jergens Natural Glow Face

Now, after a week or so of using the products somewhat diligently (I try and remember to do it most days, but I’ve definitely forgotten a couple of times), my skin is a nice, bronze tone. Not heavily tanned (which would look unnatural), but with a little more color. And the added bonus that my acne scars are not as visible :-)

Thanks to all of those who made suggestions- I’m really glad to have found a product that works for me.

I also have acne scars and still breakout occasionally if I put certain lotions on my face…..did this trigger any breakouts?

Nope, it did not trigger any breakouts- perhaps because the face lotion is oil free. (Although I’ve been only using the product for a week.) But it doesn’t feel like that there is a breakout coming.

I have a question for you. I currently have a tan from getting burned about a month ago, and it’s the ghetto tan from a tank top. So my chest is tanned but not my shoulders and since I was wearing a jacket most of the time my arms are not burned. How do you think this product would work with the uneveness of the skin?

Thanks for the review by the way. I’ve been thinking about buying some of this ever since you mentioned it before.

I have used the Jergens before and it turned my knees orange! I guess I just didn’t rub it in enough. But I went ahead and purchased another bottle the other day. I keep forgetting to put it on in the morning though. I have crazy bathing suit tan lines from last summer that I need to be rid of in 52 days.

Thanks for the reviews; glad they’re working out for you.

I have a question for you or anyone who’s used the face lotion. I’ve been interested in trying it, but I also have acne-prone skin that I keep under control using some strong benzoyl-peroxide creams (Clean and Clear persagel). I’ve heard that using benzoyl peroxide can cause white spots on your skin if you use self-tanner. Anyone have experience with this?

I love this product too, I think it is super natural looking!

lizardbnorton, I think it might help with the tan lines. I had some (faint) tan lines, and they’re basically gone now.

kerry, unfortunately, I can’t speak about the reaction with benzoyl peroxide.

That reminds me, I better start on my “tannification” now! I’m also a fan of this product.

I used this last summer and although the tan I got was great, I found Jergens pretty smelly… and not in a good way. Maybe it was just me? I switched to the Oil of Olay one and it works really well too (and smells better!) so if you’re sensitive like me, give that one a try. :-)

Try the Jergens Express.. it shows up a lot sooner and it smells a lot better! :)

I just have a question. When I use to use that (a couple of years ago), it left me/my skin smelling very gross. Has the scent improved any?

I don’t know if they changed the formula since it first came out, but it left orange marks on all of my clothes! Be careful!
