I’m pretty sure the salespeople at Macy’s think I’m a crazy lady. I’m sure because of the sale they were running on the weekend they saw lots of ladies walking out with multiple pairs of shoes, but I’m pretty sure I was probably the only one walking out with multiple pairs of shoes all in the same shade of HOT PINK.
Though I did buy one pair for myself (the Carlos shoes), the rest were for my bridesmaids! A little unconventional, yes, because my bridesmaids are wearing BLUE! I’ve found that the color that I’ve chosen for my ladies is a little hard to match without getting dyed-to-match shoes. Even though I wasn’t crazy about the idea, I told them that wearing black shoes would probably be fine. Then, the Macy’s shoe sale happened (me + shoe sales = danger), and I thought… why try to match at all? Since hot pink/fuschia is my other wedding color (and I LOVE bold-colored shoes), I quickly picked up a few pairs of pink shoes and raced home to test out the combo.
Ta-da! Here I’m wearing my sister’s dress and the shoes I bought her:
You may notice, these are the same shoes as Miss Dahlia’s except in pink!
Another view without my ugly couch in the background:
(hehe… you can see how big the shoes are on me!)
Probably not what most people think bridesmaid shoes should be, but I like it anyway!
I love the sudden pop of color, and I think it will tie in more nicely when the girls are holding bouquets with matching pink ribbon wraps.
I’m a little afraid to ask, but I’ll ask anyway. What do you think? Would you do a bold bridesmaid shoe?
