Something Thoughtful

April 17th, 2008 @ 5:53 pm by Mrs. Lovebug

Yesterday, my girlfriend and running partner Sarah told me she had an idea for my something blue. She makes jewelry, and had the idea of adding a blue Swarovski heart-shaped crystal to the back of my necklace. Check out her addition:

It’s so pretty and delicate and perfect, but more importantly - meaningful. :)

Something blue poll starts…NOW!

The necklace looks great!

I had a Penn State garter belt and blue swarovski crystals on the bottom of my shoes forming our initials.

Enjoy the last hours of your single-hood!

I especially like it because your guests will be able to see it from the back when your saying your vows. It’s perfect for the design of your necklace.

I will be wearing a pair of aquamarine earings that were my grandmothers. She passed before I was born so it is my something blue. Even though it fits the bill of something old and something borrowed too. Thank goodness there clip-on’s! Yep, 28 and I still do not have my ears pierced.

Another blue shoe bride :)

Eew I just called myself a bride…is it weird that that was the first time I’ve ever used that word in reference to myself?

My something old/blue is hopefully an heirloom aquamarine ring from my great-grandmother. Unfortunately one of the prongs recently broke, so I’m hoping it’s not too brittle to repair.

That’s gorgeous! My maid of honor makes similar jewelry and made me a gorgeous bracelet that I wore with pride on my wedding day!

My something old, borrrowed and blue were the same thing: an antique lace hanky that belonged to my grandmother, lent to me by my cousin, with beautiful blue embroidered inital letter “L” which is my grandmother’s name and my middle name. I used the hanky as a bouquet wrap.

My something blue/borrowed was the light blue sapphire jewelry my sister wore in her wedding.

It’ll be so pretty when you wear that TOMORROW! Aieeee!
