Brave Souls, I Commend Thee!

Before I had found our lovely floral designer, I was hooked on the idea of DIY-ing our flowers. It could be moderately cheaper, and the prospect of having complete control was honestly intoxicating. However, I had to admit to myself that the likelihood of me turning into a raging monster during the week of the wedding would be exacerbated one-million-fold if I took such a huge undertaking upon myself. Also, no manicure could last against stripping that many roses! :)

But, if you are one of the brave few who are DIY-ing their flowers, here are the links I accumulated - I hope they can help you!

Thanks! There’s no way I’ll be doing mine myself, but there’s still lots of helpful info on those links.

I went with silk flowers for our bouquets, for the same reason that I didn’t want to be stressed out at the last minute.

But then we wound up ordering a few batches of fresh for decorating the reception. (Since the DIY wasn’t any more complicated than cutting them down and plopping them in vases.) Went through http://www.FiftyFlowers.com, and I would recommend them to anyone as a source. They had good prices and superlative customer service.
