About Mrs. Cherry Blossom

Boo yah - our slideshow is up baby!!! Thanks to Scott Robert who feverishly worked until the wee hours of the morning to pound that shiet out for me within the week!! It was either that or he would have had me refreshing every half hour on the dot and attacking him via email. winky049

Gotta give him major props for the slideshow and all the photos because I was a wee bit concerned about how we would be captured on camera, naturally and as ourselves…. but it was captured amazingly.

We totally got lucky because both Scott and Bandele Zuberi were in town for one of Scott’s workshops, so we held them hostage. I mean, hung out with them all day exploring the city. The only thing more perfect I could have wished for was way less cooooold BRRR weather.

Tour SF with the CBs …

We started off at the Haight. We parked at Haight and Stanyan and skippy dee skipped our way to one end and back. There is an abundance of color and graffiti art at your disposal. Thanks to Miss Pengy for the suggestion!

“Juice” or “Hear me Roar” .Mr. CB is laughing at my pathetic looking guns but I KNOW that they are really bad ass looking. Don’t mess with me. Rock the guns with a smile, it’s HOT.

s14219201
from so calm and cool…

s142193
….to silly. I totally did not know that Mr. CB was mocking me in the background but I almost fell out of the chair laughing. This is so everyday for us! LOL.

Just randomly on our stroll, Scott/Bandele found this quiet, hidden stairway so we got to get really close.

I love this pic. I love the overall blue hue and how REAL naughty/nice this picture is at the same time.

Walking back to the end of Haight where our trek started, we spotted these huge lone trees just decked out in large blossoms, totally rocking the soft love. Amazing how timing works - a week later when I drove by, all the blossoms had fallen off for the season.

Moving on …. we explored Fort Mason. We loved the run down abandoned look of the buildings and went to explore the area for photo ops. It’s truly amazing to watch/hear photogs at work. In game mode, they are constantly seeing visions in areas you would never imagine or catch. Case in point, as we were driving, both Scott/Bandele gasped for this hidden brick house that you would barely catch driving by. Too bad it was locked. But it’s okay, because we danced off!

Next on to the GGP (Golden Gate Park) for really “soft” pictures. How could I NOT have pictures with Cherry Blossoms?!?!?! It was a must. I’ve always seen pictures of Shakespeare Garden when cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and nothing could have been more romantic than this setting.

Before we stopped for a coffee break, we drove by my old school USF, where we made the trek up Lone Mountain campus for a few pictures and for some impromptu fun that Scott captured on camera.

I was screaming “Tell me I’m light as a feather. Tell me! Tell me I’m light as a feather!” as poor Mr. CB piggy me backed down the monstrous stairs.

s14219305

Not to be showed up, I had to prove I had the guns too! Yeah, boy, you ain’t that feather light.

s14219306

After the grub, Scott suggested we get some awesome night shots down on Broadway to capture the nightlife sprinkled with neon lights, signs, and some xxx book stores.

s14219307
I totally love Mr. CB’s expression here. This photo is so bad but good. Check the “topless entertainment sign” and how Mr. CB seems to be looking in the camera and saying… “Yeah she’s mine.” LOL.

Followed by more with the best girls in town. I’m totally draped over Mr. CB with some old Hollywoodish glam to the color of the photos.

All day and all night, Bandele, the sweet stud that he is, kept us warm by making sure we had our jackets on as soon as the photo was taken. He then shared his genius idea of shooting in a laundromat which we came across in North Beach. Too bad, we got kicked out …..

z14219303

We hit up Ghirardelli Square for some shots outside of this awesome gallery.

To top of the evening off, we hit up the swanky Hotel Kabuki in Japantown for some amazing gallery like shots.
