Something Blue, Or Maybe Teal…

April 23rd, 2008 @ 1:25 pm by Mrs. Penguin

I ordered all of my bridesmaids’ shoes. They decided to go with ivory to match the ivory band on their dresses, so they picked up this cute little number from Chinese Laundry:

I was looking for a cheap shoe so I could purchase all 4 pairs, because I didn’t feel comfortable asking my bridesmaids to buy a white shoe, since it’s not really a color that you may ever wear again. They were a great price ($60) and just so darn cute…I couldn’t resist and snagged myself a pair in teal:

I know that it’s “My Big Day” and I’m supposed to be special and whatnot, but I think having a matching pair of shoes to my Bridesmaids would be so cute! I do already have a pair of shoes that I was planning to wear:

But I was never quite feeling the gold heel, especially because I’d like to wear silver earrings. I’ll still keep my options open, as both Endless.com and Zappos.com (where I ordered from) have great 365 day return policies, so it doesn’t hurt to have a few pairs to choose from right?

So, which shoe do you think I should wear?

I was just going through this myself! My bridesmaids and I are going to wear matching madras sandals…not that anyone will be able to see mine, but they were cute, so who cares!

I’m a bit more partial to the Chinese Laundry heels, and just out of curiosity what happened to those fun peep toe shoes you picked out?

I like the Chinese Laundry shoes. The colors and the style looks so nice. I wish I known earlier so I can order one but I just recently brought something else from ninashoes.com

But thanks for sharing it, maybe I can consider get those shoes in the future that can match my dress for my friend’s wedding.

I have a pair of those exact Chinese Laundry shoes in gold and despite how high the heels are, they are one of the most comfortable shoes I own! As a matter of fact, I wore them to a wedding for 6 hours and had no blisters on my feet! Score! Not to mention the fact that they are super sexy for an added bonus! =)

@Buckeye: What a great memory :) I’m afraid the heel isnt high enough :( Mr Penguin is a foot taller than me so every extra inch helps! These shoes are 1.5 inches taller than the first pair of peep toes I picked out!

I like the Chinese Laundry shoes. I ordered Chinese Laundry shoes for myself (to wear at my wedding) and I ordered them through Heels.com….they were the same price as Macy’s but there was no sales tax and they shipped them FedEx overnight…I got them the very next day.! If anyone is looking for shoes, give Heels.com a try.
