I feel so super behind on all my “paper projects” (hello, unfinished/not-even-started programs, escort cards, table numbers, thank-you cards), yet at the same time I’m so unmotivated to start them. I don’t know what it is. I should be in panic mode. Anyway, the other night, I decided I wanted to gocco something.

You’d think I’d start with one of the projects listed above…uh… nope. I procrastinated some more and decided to work on a project that I never planned to make - At Home cards!
All the cards all over my floor
It’s not a completely useless project (at least this is what I told myself). Since we are moving into a new place, it would be nice to let our guests know where we are moving to… right? Plus, I scored a great deal on paper from the White Aisle Moving Sale that Miss Shortcake told us about last week, so it was a nice cheap project.
Closer look at the At Home card
At the top of the card, I used a monogram that my cousin made for me. I used the “traditional” At Home card text, but I tweaked it a little. Even though I plan on changing my name, I didn’t want to write “Mr. and Mrs. Colin Xxxxxxxxx.” It makes me feel like I’m losing BOTH of my names. So, I put my new full name (I blurred it out, but it reads “Mrs. Tiffany Maiden NewLast”) on a separate line.
See, while not really a necessary project (unlike some of my other unfinished ones), not completely useless either!
What do you think? How do you plan to let your guests know where you’ll be living after the wedding/honeymoon?
I’ve been on the fence about “at home” cards. We bought a house last summer, and already did our housewarming. Since our address will be on the invitations/announcements, reply cards, and thank you notes, I feel like everyone will have a chance to record our new address themselves. I’m tired of printing and mailing things!
Yours look great - It’s good you put your hyphenated name, since it will give people an opportunity to get used to seeing your new name.
