Wow - this would be awesome! My favorite wedding planning memory would be when we booked the reception site, and my dad (a picky eater) said he had never tried such delicious food - and we were on the first course of our tasting. He was surely impressed at our choice of location and we knew it was the spot. He quickly started making decisions on budget, and such once that meal was over.
Favorite wedding planning moment so far (really early in the game): researching crazy and exotic and money-is-no-object locales for the honeymoon with FI. We know that we’re going to need to come back down to earth at some point, but right now it’s really fun!
So chic! So far my favorite wedding planning memory is seeing my dad tear up when I tried my wedding dress on at the boutique.
My favorite wedding planning memory would be my MIL insisting that we have the wedding my hometown- even though it would make travel arrangements more difficult for her side of the family.
What a wonderful modern gift for the wedding party! 8 GB is huge - it could fit TONS of pictures and music!
The car ride with my new husband (!) from the church to the reception! Just the 2 of us, chatting away. Swoon.
My favorite planning moment was when my fiance and I, the day after our engagement, drove up to Garre Winery for dinner to celebrate his birthday and we both knew, at first sight, that we needed to get married there. It is the perfect blend of CA wine country and the rolling hills I remember from my childhood in the Midwest.
my favorite planning memory was walking onto our site for the first time. My FI and I had been looking forever for a site where you could see the mountains and that fit our budget. We had just about given up when we stumbled on our site and we both agreed it was perfect. From then on the wedding became real and I could imagine every detail of our day.
My favorite wedding planning moment was definitely the tasting- the food was so good…
My favorite wedding planning memory is when I tried on my dress and veill and my sisters teared up. They said it didn’t feel real to them unti lthen.
My wedding was a completely DIY affair. My rehearsal dinner was held at the same venue as my reception would be the next day. After the rehearsal dinner, everyone stayed to help decorate. My paternal grandfather is your sterotypical farmer, man’s man. It melted my heart to see him arranging candles and sprinkling flower petals on tables. It reaffirmed to me how much he loves me and what a huge milestone getting married was.
My favorite wedding planning memory so far has to be finishing my invitations and mailing them. I did them myself (do not rec. it) and after 5 months of toiling away they are finally finished. I feel like that was a huge accomplishment and a big load off my mind. ![]()
My favorite wedding planning was designing our invitations and STD’s. I never realized how challenging they were, but in the end they turned out to be my favorites!
great give away!
Favorite memory, cake tasting
YUMMY! And one of the few things FI actually WANTED to go to
these would be very useful for all those photo sharing after the wedding!
mmm….must be having all the bridesmaids tear up near the end of the ceremony and joking about how the dress didn’t have any pockets for tissues…
My favorite wedding planning memory (so far!) was when I finally found my dress (at the Filene’s Basement running of the brides–during a snow storm no less!!) and when I called my FH to tell him it was more expensive than we budgeted he replied “Get it. You deserve to be happy.” What a guy ![]()
those are so cute!!! the perfect blend of fashion and technology
my favorite wedding planning memory so far is from the time one of my BMs and I went to my first catering tasting. After we were left to privately taste the food, we couldn’t contain our laughter because we were making fun of the steak which was way too undercooked and the rest of the food which was displayed so unattractively. It was just a good memory of having fun and silly times with a close friend during this whole crazy wedding planning process.
My favorite wedding planning/idea searching moment has been trying to incorporate the fact that we have had a long distance relationship since 1994 into are wedding.
My favorite memory was walking from off the trolley and it raining/sprinkling! At that point I didn’t care ONE BIT and while everyone thought I’d be freaking out, I was just soo ecstatic it wasn’t coming down harder and I could just enjoy it all! (yes, it was an outdoor reception and it did stop raining and the stars came out at night!)
My favorite wedding planning memory was taking our engagement pictures. This flash drive would be a great way to store those pictures ![]()
my favorite wedding planning memory was when i went dress shopping with my mom and my aunt. to see the reactions on their face was priceless ![]()
My favorite moment so far has been my family chipping togther to fly my sister home from Brussles so we could start planning togther shortly after our engement!!!
So far my favorite memory is buying my dress, but we havent done much else yet
My favorite wedding planning memory is designing the invitation. There is something very satisfying about seeing what you envisioned on paper and then massed produced and sent to the people you treasured most!
Those are cute & practical! One of my favorite wedding day memories (there are so many!) is my FIL’s speech when he says to the crowd, “Let’s all say Hip Hip Hurray!” And my MIL then pulls on his arm from her seat and corrects him in front of everyone, “No, it’s Hip Hip Hurrah!” To this day I’m not sure if she is actually right or not. I always thought it was hurray!
My favorite part of wedding planning so far is getting to spend so much time with my Mom and working on my dress. (I got a simple, plain dress and we are sprucing it up! 8-D )
My favorite wedding memory is shopping for my dress with my mom and fmil.
My favorite wedding planning moment was when my fiance tried on the platinum wedding band from Tiffany’s that I ended up buying. The HUGE smile on his face was all I needed to hand over my credit card and go into debt for the rest of my life! ![]()
My FI would LOVE these! Techie, fun, and useful! We’ve had SO many wedding planning adventures already, amidst our cross country move to Seattle, it’s hard to pick just one, but one of my recent faves was custom designing our wedding bands together at Greenlake Jewelry, a vendor we found by reading Weddingbee!
Favorite wedding day memory is when I accidentally gave my dad the finger - sounds terrible but it was REALLY funny.
For sure the tasting is the best planning memory so far & I actually just did that yesterday! It was a nice dinner with my FI, his best man & my soon to be brother-in-law, and my sister the MOH. Who doesn’t love a nice meal with fun people. =)
I would LOVE to have these to give to my bridal party, please pick me!
finding a reception venue that was what we were looking for. it was like a sweet sigh of relief.
So far, my favorite parts of wedding planning have been cake tasting and finding my dress…deciding on which cake and dress is the hard part though!
cool! favorite moment–climbing over a fence to check out a potential (and at the moment closed) wedding venue.
My favourite wedding planning has to be the search for my dress! I love the glamour of trying on these big white dresses. This will be the only time in my life that I can do something like this! ![]()
My favorite wedding planning memory was my Dad. He didn’t understand why you needed chair covers. He asked “what kind of chairs are they giving you?! Do they have holes and stains on them?!” Then my Mom not hearing my Dad exclaimed how pretty the chairs looked in pictures and we had to have them. My Dad then informed me of the three S’s to being the FOB. Sit down, shut up and shell out. It still makes us laugh everytime a chair cover comes up ![]()
That is a GREAT gift!
favorite: making him try on the wedding band after it got engraved to make sure it fit… and his response as he waved his hand around to test the weight, “oh man… do you think this will affect my basketball shot?!”
My favourite wedding planning memory so far was when, 5 months after we had booked our reception venue, sent out the save the dates, and made our guest list, my FILs decided to “strongly recommend” having the wedding at a different location. A location with red velvet walls. Umm…thanks! Hahaha yeah it wasn’t a touching memory, but it sure stands out!
So far my favorite moment has been our engagement photo shoot. We got to do it at a location we had considered for the ceremony (and where he proposed) but decided it wasn’t feasible, so it was awesome to have photos taken there. ![]()
8 GB that would go so well with our 8/8/08 wedding. Also our wedding party would love us for giving them an 8 GB FD (scary to think the first computer I brought on my own only had an 8GB harddrive). Our favorite wedding planning moment was booking our site. It is a perfect place for us and we can’t wait.
Stressing about the hall not being avaliable for the day we needed and then having to offer to pay another couple’s deposit to switch dates with us- it all worked out and that’s what makes it my favorite!
My favorite wedding planning memory was landing in the Bahamas last May and knowing that the next time we visited it would be to get married! In one week, we will be landing there again!!
Great gift! We’re still in the very early stages of planning…we’ve been engaged a little over 2 months! So far, the best planning moment has been figuring out how to incorporate both of our traditions. I’m Mexican, and he’s from Georgia (US)…tamales and southern bbq anyone? ha!
Favorite planning memory was meeting with the pastor to personalize the ceremony.
My fav memory of wedding planning so far has to be the green signature drink “tasting” with my FI and a bridesmaid. Woo hoo.
The look on my mom’s face when she saw the dress. That’s when I knew it was “the one” !
Ooo so fun!! I would love one for myself and all my girls actually have jobs that require storing info!
my favorite wedding planning day was yesterday. i put the deposit on the venue!
Bridesmaid dress shopping with the bridesmaids has been a blast.
My favorite wedding planning moment: finally finding a venue that would work for us after months of searching. The venue search was a roller coaster ride - two of the venues we were strongly considering (companies that ran multiple venues) told us they were unsure that they would still own the venue we wanted on our date a year out. Another venue, my fiance was bringing in paperwork to secure our date and the couple in line in front of him beat him to the punch. Finally finding our venue was a relief, and it marked our first real planning decision so it was exciting as well.
i’m still very early in the planning process, but probably dress shopping…my best friend (who lives across the country and knew I had gone dress shopping that day) had her baby early and when I talked to her later that day to congratulate her, and the first thing she said to me was “i’m doing great, the baby’s doing great, how was dress shopping?” This was her second child…but it totally cracked me up!
i’m early in the process but i’m going to say growing closer to my FI’s family because they are SO excited! i haven’t done a cake tasting yet though…
So far, my favorite wedding planning memory has been with my dad. My dad and I are really close, since I am the only and oldest girl. It’s hard to explain that bond, but I feel like any other male significant other that I’ve had in my life is the icing on the cake, because I’ve always had this great guy in my life–my dad! I wrote my dad a letter explaining all of this because there’s no way I could say it without crying, and the reaction I got from him was my favorite wedding planning moment so far! As much as I love my fiance, I will always still have that bond with my dad ![]()
Favorite wedding planning moment is finding my pink wedding shoes!
These would be perfect stocking stuffers - Christmastime wedding - for our family! My favorite wedding planning moment was having dinner with friends at sunset on the beach we’re getting married knowing that in eight months the clapping at sunset wouldn’t be for the beautiful Southwest Florida sunset, but for us. That’s when it felt like everything for our small, DIY wedding was coming together.
hmmm… favorite wedding planning moment? moments when i wasn’t being bridezilla, heehee! ![]()
My favorite wedding planning memory was when he suggested the day of our first date for our wedding date, it was so sweet and romantic. I had been thinking so hard to find the perfect date and he just knew what would be right. I cannot wait!
Would be perfect for our wedding photos–especially since our photographer is giving all of ours to us on a CD!
These flash drives are so stylish! My favorite planning memory was assembling the invitations with one of my bridesmaids. I was so scared to open the box (as if there were no turning back once I opened it!), but she told me to get over it, tore right in and got started. I love her! We chatted and watched Dane Cook (yummy!) on t.v. as we worked. A few hours and glasses of wine later, we were just staring at all my pretty invitations. It was a great time!
Shopping for THE dress was one of my favorite wedding moments!
My favorite wedding planning moment(s) has been any of the times I’ve received an email from my not typically wedding planning oriented fiance that says something like: “30 more days! :-)”
It’s those times that remind me, he’s just as into this wedding as I am, he just shows it in a different way.
My favorite wedding planning moment was the day I got engaged. Our mothers haven’t always seen eye to eye on everything in the past, but about 10 minutes after I said yes, the two of them were sitting at the dining room table discussing the lists that they both started working on before he’d even asked me! (He’d told his mom and asked my parents beforehand.)
My favorite memory was taking our engagement pictures. We had so much fun giggling and kissing in front of a camera for two hours!
My favorite memory so far is dress shopping with my Mother and when I found my dress it started snowing, and in Seattle that is not the norm! I knew immediately that was the dress for me!
My favorite wedding planning was searching and finally finding the perfect venue….you just know when you see it =)
My favorite wedding planning moment (so far) was asking our college reference librarian, Erhard, a lovely old soul and dear o both of us, to officiate our wedding.
Nice giveaway
My favorite wedding memory was the moment right after the ceremony - after we exited the church we had just a few precious moments to ourselves before everyone else left the church, and we just looked at each other with amazement that we were finally married and were overwhelmed with emotion.. we were both fighting back tears (of happiness!). It was great ![]()
My favorite wedding moment was stepping out of the car and seeing my husband crying. Later he told me it was because of how beautiful I looked, that he was so lucky to be marrying such a beautiful bride! I’ll be holding on to that one for a long long while!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far has been making and decorating cookies for my BMs when I asked them to be a BM!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far was putting the deposit down on our dream reception venue. It was almost enjoyable handing over that huge check!
when FI and i were talking one day, he said “so, i was talking to my parents about wedding stuff… and, i want my groomsmen and myself to wear kilts.” i have never felt more like the cliche bride/groom ideas clashing than this. haha.
so yeah, those are cute. and 8 gb is nice.
My FAVORITE wedding planning memory has to be our engagement photos that we shot yesterday with our SUPER AWESOME photographer, Travis Hoehne!! I can’t wait for more of the planning to unfold.
One of my favorite wedding planning moment was asking my future mother-in-law for photos of my fiance (expecting about 20) but she ended up giving me 200 so I scanned all 200 photos and created a photo book for her and was planning on giving it to her at the rehearsal dinner…unforseen, their home flooded a week before the wedding and not only was countless damage done to their home, but boxes and boxes of photos were ruined beyond saving.
When we gave her the photo book - she began crying (which made me cry) because she said that we had helped her save 200 photos that she thought that she had lost forever.
My fav wedding planning memory has been trying on my gorgeous dress =)
favorite wedding moment so far was finding the right photographer.
Favorite so far is last night teaching FI how to make tissue paper poms.
my favorite wedding day memory would have to be the first dance. i couldn’t stop crying!
My favorite so far has been working on the smaller details of the wedding, like the programs…it all makes it seem much more real to me…
My favorite wedding planning moment was when my fiance and I decided on the color theme. I love that he had input.
An awesome gift to add to my bags I am giving my bridesmaids.
finding out that the tide schedule would work perfect for our wedding on the beach!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far was definitely purchasing my dress. I had my mom and my two closest girlfriends with me, and there was so much love and support in that room. It was so touching. I’ll never forget it.
My favorite planning memory, so far, was spending a day in SF with my bridesmaids, dress shopping for them. The three of them didn’t really know each other (they’d met once before, but that’s it). We all had so much fun together, and everybody really got along so well! It was really great being surrounded by my three favorite friends, and having such a fun time together.
so far… it would be our guests reactions to our save the dates. Hard work pays off. ![]()
My favorite planning moment was when we were at a bridal show and I saw my photographer’s booth across the way and just stopped. It was empty because she has a very artistic take on wedding photography and all the other photographers were the typical pose and shoot style that everyone here seems to favor. It was just so different and beautiful. We both agreed that we found our photographer and were thrilled!
My favorite wedding planning memory is a crazy one! This wedding planning has been a roller coaster ride to be sure. We planned to have our reception on a large sternwheeler boat. 4 months before the wedding, we found out that the boats were being fought over by the owners and that the events had been suspended. We were crushed. It was our dream to be married on a boat like that one. We rolled with the punches and realized what was most important was that we loved each other and were going to be married, no matter what! We stuck together through it and we planned around it. My favorite moment planning this wedding was when I received a call a month ago letting us know that the boats were now back! They were bought by the hotel, and they offered us a new chance to get back on the boat for half of the original price. What an awesome deal! I am glad everything happened that did and I’m looking forward to our amazing dream wedding!!
I soo want this!
Wedding planning - finally sending out the invitations! And that first RSVP.
My favorite wedding planning memory was when I was asked to create ceremony decorations for close friends. They were on a tight budget but I still wanted to make it look work. So we got gerbera daisies, roses, and ferns from Stop and Shop (we must have checked at least 10 supermarkets for the freshest, prettiest flowers.
Then, we got some white brochure paper that I already had in the house. We rolled them up into cones, punched holes through them and wove a satin ribbon through, and arranged the flowers in to mini bouquets. We hung these decorations from the pews in the church. Very pretty ![]()
my favorite part of wedding planning is planning the ceremony and reception decorations. I love interior design and event planning!
ooh those are so cute…5 is just the perfect number to share to my BMs.
Anyhow, my favorite wedding planning memory is working on our DIY projects. FI and MOH calls it “Bride’s sweatshop”. We had an assembly line going…hehehe.
My favorite wedding day memory…..just as the doors to the sanctuary opened and I was about to begin the walk down the aisle, I looked around and saw how many of our friends and family were there and was so overwhelmed at that moment. I feel like I floated down the aisle. I cried the whole way down the aisle because I was so overjoyed about everything and that was the only time I cried the whole day!
My favorite planning moment was when I went to my first ever sample sale and tried on my first ever wedding gowns…..Then I ended up buying one!!!
Hmmmm, good question. I’m going to have to go with the cake tasting, though!
Oops. Forgot my favorite memory. I think it was probably finding our venue site (a winery) with my fiance’. The jubilation wasn’t dampened by the fact that we’d just done some wine tasting. So good!
My fave memory is looking at weddingbee! I would love these to save my pix and all my wdg ideas!
This is awesome! My all time favorite wedding planning moment is when we went to reserve the church, our priest had us walk down the isle and “practice” our vowes. It felt so real!! both my FI and i were in tears. I can only imagine how emotional its going to be when our family and friends are there and its the real thing!!!
PINK!!!
One of my favorite memories - when my mom surprised us at the reception with a video montage of our babies pics all the way up through dating/engagement pictures
Plus she’d made copies for everyone!
my favorite wedding planning moment is going with my mom, MOH and bridesmaid to pick out a dress. It was so overwhelming and to have them there for support felt really special to me.
My favorite wedding planning moment thus far has been receiving the RSVPs. It’s so amazing that people are traveling from quite a distance and taking time out of their schedules to spend that day with us…it’s been very humbling
The cake tasting loses by only a slim margin, though.
My favorite memory so far is when we asked our friends to officiate our wedding. Our very stoic friend actually teared up when we asked him. He was very honored that we would include him and his wife in this special way. It was the first decision we made after we decided to get married.
Does the memory have to be from my own yet-to-come wedding? As a 10yr old junior bridesmaid for my dad and stepmother, I was shocked when the processional started playing and my father looked down the aisle and started cracking up. Seems the stepmom lightened the stressful moment by donning Groucho Marx glasses, complete with attached nose and mustache for a split second before starting the walk down the aisle! I’d love to gift these to my BMs!
My favorite wedding day memory is the moment my husband and I first saw each other. I had waited for that moment for so long and to finally have it happen was bittersweet.
My favorite wedding planning moment was… cake tasting, picking out flavors and getting my fiance to agree to them all… And also talking with my florist about flowers. I love orange/coral callas and roses and she is really going to make them happen!
So far I would have to say making the invitations. I didn’t think I had a DIY bone in my body, I am not that kind of girl. But I was talked into it by a friend when we went to a paper store. FI & I worked together on all the wording and they turned out perfect. I am so happy and proud of them. I am even making the programs & escort cards now.
ZOMG, that’s amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing! I’d be the most popular bride ever if I gifted these to my bridesmaids!
Oops, hit the button too early.
And I haven’t really done enough planning yet to have any favorite memories. So far I’ve had nothing but stress trying to book vendors. But next week I’m spending quality time with my bridesmaids picking out dresses, so I’m sure there’ll be plenty of fond memories from that!
My favorite thing so far has been designing the invites.
Yes please
Alot of our guests can’t make it to our wedding in my hometown - I would love these babies to send memories to special friends who can’t come!
Favorite wedding planning memory so far has been wedding band shopping with FI. It was pretty exciting to pick out something that symbolizes something so important.
my favorite wedding planning memory has been ordering fun stuff for our wedding like glowsticks, wigs, boas. We bought these awesome afro wigs which we let our groomsmen try on (hes asian) and he looks like rob From rob and big. it was hilarious.
I have had an unbelievably supportive MOH who has listened to me laugh, cry and scream throughout the planning process. Having such a wonderfully supportive friend has made it so much better. Her support has truly been a wonderful part of the planning process and is a strong memory. I only hope I can repay her the same level of support when she gets married next year. Perhaps we could utilize these flash drives during both our planning! ![]()
My favorite planning moment was buying my gown on Black Friday!
(These flash drives are gorgeous! This would be perfect for my geeky wedding!)
My favorite planning memory thus far was the first time I saw myself all dressed up as a bride (dress, crinny, shoes, veil, jewelry…) I had tried them all on in pieces but the 1st time I had them all on together, it really hit me.
These are super cool! Mine broke, so I’m in need of a new one!
My favorite memory is the look of my fiancee’s face everytime we go to our reception venue. It’s a winery and it’s so beautiful. It’s a new venue so every visit, there’s always something new. We look at eachother and think…….wow, what a great decision we did! He’s really excited about the wedding! And, the wine, we both love it.
My favorite wedding memory was seeing my husband for the first time at the altar
One of my favorite memories was at my brother’s wedding. When my sis-in-law met with my bro at the altar- they started the ceremony with a song that he wrote about love and marriage (That they sang at a talent show 5 years prior! ~ when they first started dating) There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
definitely purchasing my dress and accessories to go with it…because that’s about all i’ve done so far! =X
wow. love those!
my favorite planning memory comes from just the other day. our soloists (both friends and music students at the best conservatory in town) sent me a rendition of the song they’re singing. it’s absolutely stunning–so unique and beautiful. i am an italian studies major, and they chose an operatic piece by Donizetti. hearing it gave me chills; imagining their voices on my wedding day.
These would be great to load up with wedding pics and give to my mom and friends. My favorite wedding planning part has been deciding to do my own invites, I love being crafty ( in theory not yet in practice)! ![]()
My absolute favorite wedding moment was this past weekend when we received our absolutely amazingly gorgeous custom designed ketubah. It almost made me tear up, and I do NOT cry. I cannot believe that we are going to have something so beautiful, so unique, so US, and so important to our relationship hanging on our wall forever.
Seriously, if anyone is looking for a gorgeous custom ketubah artist, send me a message, Her work is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
My favorite planning memory (4mths and change to go!) so far has got to be making up silly dances to random songs and saying..”we should do this for our first dance”. It’s a nice way to let off a little steam. Not too mention its just plain ol’ fun!
“What you don’t want to do the shopping cart for the first dance? ” haha ![]()
my favorite memory was food tasting with my fiance, my parents, and his parents. it was the first time we were all together at the same time during the planning process, and we were all excited and talking about the wedding:)
One of the best wedding planning memories for me was when I was able to hunt down my husband’s very first boss. If it weren’t for him, my husband would have never been as successful as he is now! I will never forget the look on my husband’s face when he opened the RSVP with his old boss’ name on it as attending! He was so excited, it was like watching a child open his first Christmas present! It even topped the look on his face as I walked down the aisle…now that’s huge!
My favorite wedding planning memory was the first time that my fiance and I went to look at ceremony and reception venues…it was on our 6 year anniversary so, that made the day extra special! What a special way to spend your anniversary…planning your wedding!!!
I look forward to the many more memories that we make planning and in our future life together!!
My favorite planning memory, so far, has been dress shopping and then going to a girly lunch with my mom, MOH, future mother-in-law, and future sisters-in-law.
My favorite wedding planning memory was the night before my wedding, when all the planning was done! I lay down in bed in a room with all my bridesmaids, and realized I planned and made as much as I could, the wedding is tomorrow, and it will be perfect because I’m getting married to the perfect guy, all the diy projects can really make you forget that! Although diy projects made my wedding awesome, and I’m still addicted to this site, a year after my wedding!
Our menu tasting!
Followed closely by the friendships that I’ve made with other brides from my local forum. Awww. ![]()
awesome! and 5 would be the perfect number for bm gifts!
the best memory was seeing our venue for the first time, i was sold!
My favorite was sitting with the bridesmaids the night before the wedding, and for some reason someone started singing “The Longest Time” by Billy Joel — and everyone joined in, in perfect harmony. I don’t know why, but it was such an amazing, special moment…and made me realize how much I loved my girls!
my favorite wedding planning moment so far was picking out my wedding dress. when i came out wearing the dress I eventually bought and my mom said “that’s THE ONE!” i knew it was the dress for me.
My favorite wed
