Wow - this would be awesome! My favorite wedding planning memory would be when we booked the reception site, and my dad (a picky eater) said he had never tried such delicious food - and we were on the first course of our tasting. He was surely impressed at our choice of location and we knew it was the spot. He quickly started making decisions on budget, and such once that meal was over.
Favorite wedding planning moment so far (really early in the game): researching crazy and exotic and money-is-no-object locales for the honeymoon with FI. We know that we’re going to need to come back down to earth at some point, but right now it’s really fun!
So chic! So far my favorite wedding planning memory is seeing my dad tear up when I tried my wedding dress on at the boutique.
My favorite wedding planning memory would be my MIL insisting that we have the wedding my hometown- even though it would make travel arrangements more difficult for her side of the family.
What a wonderful modern gift for the wedding party! 8 GB is huge - it could fit TONS of pictures and music!
The car ride with my new husband (!) from the church to the reception! Just the 2 of us, chatting away. Swoon.
My favorite planning moment was when my fiance and I, the day after our engagement, drove up to Garre Winery for dinner to celebrate his birthday and we both knew, at first sight, that we needed to get married there. It is the perfect blend of CA wine country and the rolling hills I remember from my childhood in the Midwest.
my favorite planning memory was walking onto our site for the first time. My FI and I had been looking forever for a site where you could see the mountains and that fit our budget. We had just about given up when we stumbled on our site and we both agreed it was perfect. From then on the wedding became real and I could imagine every detail of our day.

My favorite wedding planning moment was definitely the tasting- the food was so good…
My favorite wedding planning memory is when I tried on my dress and veill and my sisters teared up. They said it didn’t feel real to them unti lthen.
My wedding was a completely DIY affair. My rehearsal dinner was held at the same venue as my reception would be the next day. After the rehearsal dinner, everyone stayed to help decorate. My paternal grandfather is your sterotypical farmer, man’s man. It melted my heart to see him arranging candles and sprinkling flower petals on tables. It reaffirmed to me how much he loves me and what a huge milestone getting married was.
My favorite wedding planning memory so far has to be finishing my invitations and mailing them. I did them myself (do not rec. it) and after 5 months of toiling away they are finally finished. I feel like that was a huge accomplishment and a big load off my mind. ![]()
My favorite wedding planning was designing our invitations and STD’s. I never realized how challenging they were, but in the end they turned out to be my favorites!
great give away!
Favorite memory, cake tasting
YUMMY! And one of the few things FI actually WANTED to go to
these would be very useful for all those photo sharing after the wedding!
mmm….must be having all the bridesmaids tear up near the end of the ceremony and joking about how the dress didn’t have any pockets for tissues…
My favorite wedding planning memory (so far!) was when I finally found my dress (at the Filene’s Basement running of the brides–during a snow storm no less!!) and when I called my FH to tell him it was more expensive than we budgeted he replied “Get it. You deserve to be happy.” What a guy ![]()
those are so cute!!! the perfect blend of fashion and technology
my favorite wedding planning memory so far is from the time one of my BMs and I went to my first catering tasting. After we were left to privately taste the food, we couldn’t contain our laughter because we were making fun of the steak which was way too undercooked and the rest of the food which was displayed so unattractively. It was just a good memory of having fun and silly times with a close friend during this whole crazy wedding planning process.
My favorite wedding planning/idea searching moment has been trying to incorporate the fact that we have had a long distance relationship since 1994 into are wedding.
My favorite memory was walking from off the trolley and it raining/sprinkling! At that point I didn’t care ONE BIT and while everyone thought I’d be freaking out, I was just soo ecstatic it wasn’t coming down harder and I could just enjoy it all! (yes, it was an outdoor reception and it did stop raining and the stars came out at night!)
My favorite wedding planning memory was taking our engagement pictures. This flash drive would be a great way to store those pictures ![]()
my favorite wedding planning memory was when i went dress shopping with my mom and my aunt. to see the reactions on their face was priceless ![]()
My favorite moment so far has been my family chipping togther to fly my sister home from Brussles so we could start planning togther shortly after our engement!!!
So far my favorite memory is buying my dress, but we havent done much else yet
My favorite wedding planning memory is designing the invitation. There is something very satisfying about seeing what you envisioned on paper and then massed produced and sent to the people you treasured most!
Those are cute & practical! One of my favorite wedding day memories (there are so many!) is my FIL’s speech when he says to the crowd, “Let’s all say Hip Hip Hurray!” And my MIL then pulls on his arm from her seat and corrects him in front of everyone, “No, it’s Hip Hip Hurrah!” To this day I’m not sure if she is actually right or not. I always thought it was hurray!
My favorite part of wedding planning so far is getting to spend so much time with my Mom and working on my dress. (I got a simple, plain dress and we are sprucing it up! 8-D )
My favorite wedding memory is shopping for my dress with my mom and fmil.
My favorite wedding planning moment was when my fiance tried on the platinum wedding band from Tiffany’s that I ended up buying. The HUGE smile on his face was all I needed to hand over my credit card and go into debt for the rest of my life! ![]()
My FI would LOVE these! Techie, fun, and useful! We’ve had SO many wedding planning adventures already, amidst our cross country move to Seattle, it’s hard to pick just one, but one of my recent faves was custom designing our wedding bands together at Greenlake Jewelry, a vendor we found by reading Weddingbee!
Favorite wedding day memory is when I accidentally gave my dad the finger - sounds terrible but it was REALLY funny.
For sure the tasting is the best planning memory so far & I actually just did that yesterday! It was a nice dinner with my FI, his best man & my soon to be brother-in-law, and my sister the MOH. Who doesn’t love a nice meal with fun people. =)
I would LOVE to have these to give to my bridal party, please pick me!
finding a reception venue that was what we were looking for. it was like a sweet sigh of relief.
So far, my favorite parts of wedding planning have been cake tasting and finding my dress…deciding on which cake and dress is the hard part though!
cool! favorite moment–climbing over a fence to check out a potential (and at the moment closed) wedding venue.
My favourite wedding planning has to be the search for my dress! I love the glamour of trying on these big white dresses. This will be the only time in my life that I can do something like this! ![]()
My favorite wedding planning memory was my Dad. He didn’t understand why you needed chair covers. He asked “what kind of chairs are they giving you?! Do they have holes and stains on them?!” Then my Mom not hearing my Dad exclaimed how pretty the chairs looked in pictures and we had to have them. My Dad then informed me of the three S’s to being the FOB. Sit down, shut up and shell out. It still makes us laugh everytime a chair cover comes up ![]()
That is a GREAT gift!
favorite: making him try on the wedding band after it got engraved to make sure it fit… and his response as he waved his hand around to test the weight, “oh man… do you think this will affect my basketball shot?!”
My favourite wedding planning memory so far was when, 5 months after we had booked our reception venue, sent out the save the dates, and made our guest list, my FILs decided to “strongly recommend” having the wedding at a different location. A location with red velvet walls. Umm…thanks! Hahaha yeah it wasn’t a touching memory, but it sure stands out!
So far my favorite moment has been our engagement photo shoot. We got to do it at a location we had considered for the ceremony (and where he proposed) but decided it wasn’t feasible, so it was awesome to have photos taken there. ![]()
8 GB that would go so well with our 8/8/08 wedding. Also our wedding party would love us for giving them an 8 GB FD (scary to think the first computer I brought on my own only had an 8GB harddrive). Our favorite wedding planning moment was booking our site. It is a perfect place for us and we can’t wait.
Stressing about the hall not being avaliable for the day we needed and then having to offer to pay another couple’s deposit to switch dates with us- it all worked out and that’s what makes it my favorite!
My favorite wedding planning memory was landing in the Bahamas last May and knowing that the next time we visited it would be to get married! In one week, we will be landing there again!!
Great gift! We’re still in the very early stages of planning…we’ve been engaged a little over 2 months! So far, the best planning moment has been figuring out how to incorporate both of our traditions. I’m Mexican, and he’s from Georgia (US)…tamales and southern bbq anyone? ha!
Favorite planning memory was meeting with the pastor to personalize the ceremony.
My fav memory of wedding planning so far has to be the green signature drink “tasting” with my FI and a bridesmaid. Woo hoo.
The look on my mom’s face when she saw the dress. That’s when I knew it was “the one” !
Ooo so fun!! I would love one for myself and all my girls actually have jobs that require storing info!
my favorite wedding planning day was yesterday. i put the deposit on the venue!
Bridesmaid dress shopping with the bridesmaids has been a blast.
My favorite wedding planning moment: finally finding a venue that would work for us after months of searching. The venue search was a roller coaster ride - two of the venues we were strongly considering (companies that ran multiple venues) told us they were unsure that they would still own the venue we wanted on our date a year out. Another venue, my fiance was bringing in paperwork to secure our date and the couple in line in front of him beat him to the punch. Finally finding our venue was a relief, and it marked our first real planning decision so it was exciting as well.
i’m still very early in the planning process, but probably dress shopping…my best friend (who lives across the country and knew I had gone dress shopping that day) had her baby early and when I talked to her later that day to congratulate her, and the first thing she said to me was “i’m doing great, the baby’s doing great, how was dress shopping?” This was her second child…but it totally cracked me up!
i’m early in the process but i’m going to say growing closer to my FI’s family because they are SO excited! i haven’t done a cake tasting yet though…
So far, my favorite wedding planning memory has been with my dad. My dad and I are really close, since I am the only and oldest girl. It’s hard to explain that bond, but I feel like any other male significant other that I’ve had in my life is the icing on the cake, because I’ve always had this great guy in my life–my dad! I wrote my dad a letter explaining all of this because there’s no way I could say it without crying, and the reaction I got from him was my favorite wedding planning moment so far! As much as I love my fiance, I will always still have that bond with my dad ![]()
Favorite wedding planning moment is finding my pink wedding shoes!
These would be perfect stocking stuffers - Christmastime wedding - for our family! My favorite wedding planning moment was having dinner with friends at sunset on the beach we’re getting married knowing that in eight months the clapping at sunset wouldn’t be for the beautiful Southwest Florida sunset, but for us. That’s when it felt like everything for our small, DIY wedding was coming together.
hmmm… favorite wedding planning moment? moments when i wasn’t being bridezilla, heehee! ![]()
My favorite wedding planning memory was when he suggested the day of our first date for our wedding date, it was so sweet and romantic. I had been thinking so hard to find the perfect date and he just knew what would be right. I cannot wait!
Would be perfect for our wedding photos–especially since our photographer is giving all of ours to us on a CD!
These flash drives are so stylish! My favorite planning memory was assembling the invitations with one of my bridesmaids. I was so scared to open the box (as if there were no turning back once I opened it!), but she told me to get over it, tore right in and got started. I love her! We chatted and watched Dane Cook (yummy!) on t.v. as we worked. A few hours and glasses of wine later, we were just staring at all my pretty invitations. It was a great time!
Shopping for THE dress was one of my favorite wedding moments!
My favorite wedding planning moment(s) has been any of the times I’ve received an email from my not typically wedding planning oriented fiance that says something like: “30 more days! :-)”
It’s those times that remind me, he’s just as into this wedding as I am, he just shows it in a different way.
My favorite wedding planning moment was the day I got engaged. Our mothers haven’t always seen eye to eye on everything in the past, but about 10 minutes after I said yes, the two of them were sitting at the dining room table discussing the lists that they both started working on before he’d even asked me! (He’d told his mom and asked my parents beforehand.)
My favorite memory was taking our engagement pictures. We had so much fun giggling and kissing in front of a camera for two hours!
My favorite memory so far is dress shopping with my Mother and when I found my dress it started snowing, and in Seattle that is not the norm! I knew immediately that was the dress for me!
My favorite wedding planning was searching and finally finding the perfect venue….you just know when you see it =)
My favorite wedding planning moment (so far) was asking our college reference librarian, Erhard, a lovely old soul and dear o both of us, to officiate our wedding.
Nice giveaway
My favorite wedding memory was the moment right after the ceremony - after we exited the church we had just a few precious moments to ourselves before everyone else left the church, and we just looked at each other with amazement that we were finally married and were overwhelmed with emotion.. we were both fighting back tears (of happiness!). It was great ![]()
My favorite wedding moment was stepping out of the car and seeing my husband crying. Later he told me it was because of how beautiful I looked, that he was so lucky to be marrying such a beautiful bride! I’ll be holding on to that one for a long long while!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far has been making and decorating cookies for my BMs when I asked them to be a BM!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far was putting the deposit down on our dream reception venue. It was almost enjoyable handing over that huge check!
when FI and i were talking one day, he said “so, i was talking to my parents about wedding stuff… and, i want my groomsmen and myself to wear kilts.” i have never felt more like the cliche bride/groom ideas clashing than this. haha.
so yeah, those are cute. and 8 gb is nice.
My FAVORITE wedding planning memory has to be our engagement photos that we shot yesterday with our SUPER AWESOME photographer, Travis Hoehne!! I can’t wait for more of the planning to unfold.
One of my favorite wedding planning moment was asking my future mother-in-law for photos of my fiance (expecting about 20) but she ended up giving me 200 so I scanned all 200 photos and created a photo book for her and was planning on giving it to her at the rehearsal dinner…unforseen, their home flooded a week before the wedding and not only was countless damage done to their home, but boxes and boxes of photos were ruined beyond saving.
When we gave her the photo book - she began crying (which made me cry) because she said that we had helped her save 200 photos that she thought that she had lost forever.
My fav wedding planning memory has been trying on my gorgeous dress =)
favorite wedding moment so far was finding the right photographer.
Favorite so far is last night teaching FI how to make tissue paper poms.
my favorite wedding day memory would have to be the first dance. i couldn’t stop crying!
My favorite so far has been working on the smaller details of the wedding, like the programs…it all makes it seem much more real to me…
My favorite wedding planning moment was when my fiance and I decided on the color theme. I love that he had input.
An awesome gift to add to my bags I am giving my bridesmaids.
finding out that the tide schedule would work perfect for our wedding on the beach!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far was definitely purchasing my dress. I had my mom and my two closest girlfriends with me, and there was so much love and support in that room. It was so touching. I’ll never forget it.
My favorite planning memory, so far, was spending a day in SF with my bridesmaids, dress shopping for them. The three of them didn’t really know each other (they’d met once before, but that’s it). We all had so much fun together, and everybody really got along so well! It was really great being surrounded by my three favorite friends, and having such a fun time together.
so far… it would be our guests reactions to our save the dates. Hard work pays off. ![]()
My favorite planning moment was when we were at a bridal show and I saw my photographer’s booth across the way and just stopped. It was empty because she has a very artistic take on wedding photography and all the other photographers were the typical pose and shoot style that everyone here seems to favor. It was just so different and beautiful. We both agreed that we found our photographer and were thrilled!
My favorite wedding planning memory is a crazy one! This wedding planning has been a roller coaster ride to be sure. We planned to have our reception on a large sternwheeler boat. 4 months before the wedding, we found out that the boats were being fought over by the owners and that the events had been suspended. We were crushed. It was our dream to be married on a boat like that one. We rolled with the punches and realized what was most important was that we loved each other and were going to be married, no matter what! We stuck together through it and we planned around it. My favorite moment planning this wedding was when I received a call a month ago letting us know that the boats were now back! They were bought by the hotel, and they offered us a new chance to get back on the boat for half of the original price. What an awesome deal! I am glad everything happened that did and I’m looking forward to our amazing dream wedding!!
I soo want this!
Wedding planning - finally sending out the invitations! And that first RSVP.
My favorite wedding planning memory was when I was asked to create ceremony decorations for close friends. They were on a tight budget but I still wanted to make it look work. So we got gerbera daisies, roses, and ferns from Stop and Shop (we must have checked at least 10 supermarkets for the freshest, prettiest flowers.
Then, we got some white brochure paper that I already had in the house. We rolled them up into cones, punched holes through them and wove a satin ribbon through, and arranged the flowers in to mini bouquets. We hung these decorations from the pews in the church. Very pretty ![]()
my favorite part of wedding planning is planning the ceremony and reception decorations. I love interior design and event planning!
ooh those are so cute…5 is just the perfect number to share to my BMs.
Anyhow, my favorite wedding planning memory is working on our DIY projects. FI and MOH calls it “Bride’s sweatshop”. We had an assembly line going…hehehe.
My favorite wedding day memory…..just as the doors to the sanctuary opened and I was about to begin the walk down the aisle, I looked around and saw how many of our friends and family were there and was so overwhelmed at that moment. I feel like I floated down the aisle. I cried the whole way down the aisle because I was so overjoyed about everything and that was the only time I cried the whole day!
My favorite planning moment was when I went to my first ever sample sale and tried on my first ever wedding gowns…..Then I ended up buying one!!!
Hmmmm, good question. I’m going to have to go with the cake tasting, though!
Oops. Forgot my favorite memory. I think it was probably finding our venue site (a winery) with my fiance’. The jubilation wasn’t dampened by the fact that we’d just done some wine tasting. So good!
My fave memory is looking at weddingbee! I would love these to save my pix and all my wdg ideas!
This is awesome! My all time favorite wedding planning moment is when we went to reserve the church, our priest had us walk down the isle and “practice” our vowes. It felt so real!! both my FI and i were in tears. I can only imagine how emotional its going to be when our family and friends are there and its the real thing!!!
PINK!!!
One of my favorite memories - when my mom surprised us at the reception with a video montage of our babies pics all the way up through dating/engagement pictures
Plus she’d made copies for everyone!
my favorite wedding planning moment is going with my mom, MOH and bridesmaid to pick out a dress. It was so overwhelming and to have them there for support felt really special to me.
My favorite wedding planning moment thus far has been receiving the RSVPs. It’s so amazing that people are traveling from quite a distance and taking time out of their schedules to spend that day with us…it’s been very humbling
The cake tasting loses by only a slim margin, though.
My favorite memory so far is when we asked our friends to officiate our wedding. Our very stoic friend actually teared up when we asked him. He was very honored that we would include him and his wife in this special way. It was the first decision we made after we decided to get married.
Does the memory have to be from my own yet-to-come wedding? As a 10yr old junior bridesmaid for my dad and stepmother, I was shocked when the processional started playing and my father looked down the aisle and started cracking up. Seems the stepmom lightened the stressful moment by donning Groucho Marx glasses, complete with attached nose and mustache for a split second before starting the walk down the aisle! I’d love to gift these to my BMs!
My favorite wedding day memory is the moment my husband and I first saw each other. I had waited for that moment for so long and to finally have it happen was bittersweet.
My favorite wedding planning moment was… cake tasting, picking out flavors and getting my fiance to agree to them all… And also talking with my florist about flowers. I love orange/coral callas and roses and she is really going to make them happen!
So far I would have to say making the invitations. I didn’t think I had a DIY bone in my body, I am not that kind of girl. But I was talked into it by a friend when we went to a paper store. FI & I worked together on all the wording and they turned out perfect. I am so happy and proud of them. I am even making the programs & escort cards now.
ZOMG, that’s amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing! I’d be the most popular bride ever if I gifted these to my bridesmaids!
Oops, hit the button too early.
And I haven’t really done enough planning yet to have any favorite memories. So far I’ve had nothing but stress trying to book vendors. But next week I’m spending quality time with my bridesmaids picking out dresses, so I’m sure there’ll be plenty of fond memories from that!
My favorite thing so far has been designing the invites.
Yes please
Alot of our guests can’t make it to our wedding in my hometown - I would love these babies to send memories to special friends who can’t come!
Favorite wedding planning memory so far has been wedding band shopping with FI. It was pretty exciting to pick out something that symbolizes something so important.
my favorite wedding planning memory has been ordering fun stuff for our wedding like glowsticks, wigs, boas. We bought these awesome afro wigs which we let our groomsmen try on (hes asian) and he looks like rob From rob and big. it was hilarious.
I have had an unbelievably supportive MOH who has listened to me laugh, cry and scream throughout the planning process. Having such a wonderfully supportive friend has made it so much better. Her support has truly been a wonderful part of the planning process and is a strong memory. I only hope I can repay her the same level of support when she gets married next year. Perhaps we could utilize these flash drives during both our planning! ![]()
My favorite planning moment was buying my gown on Black Friday!
(These flash drives are gorgeous! This would be perfect for my geeky wedding!)
My favorite planning memory thus far was the first time I saw myself all dressed up as a bride (dress, crinny, shoes, veil, jewelry…) I had tried them all on in pieces but the 1st time I had them all on together, it really hit me.
These are super cool! Mine broke, so I’m in need of a new one!
My favorite memory is the look of my fiancee’s face everytime we go to our reception venue. It’s a winery and it’s so beautiful. It’s a new venue so every visit, there’s always something new. We look at eachother and think…….wow, what a great decision we did! He’s really excited about the wedding! And, the wine, we both love it.
My favorite wedding memory was seeing my husband for the first time at the altar
One of my favorite memories was at my brother’s wedding. When my sis-in-law met with my bro at the altar- they started the ceremony with a song that he wrote about love and marriage (That they sang at a talent show 5 years prior! ~ when they first started dating) There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
definitely purchasing my dress and accessories to go with it…because that’s about all i’ve done so far! =X
wow. love those!
my favorite planning memory comes from just the other day. our soloists (both friends and music students at the best conservatory in town) sent me a rendition of the song they’re singing. it’s absolutely stunning–so unique and beautiful. i am an italian studies major, and they chose an operatic piece by Donizetti. hearing it gave me chills; imagining their voices on my wedding day.
These would be great to load up with wedding pics and give to my mom and friends. My favorite wedding planning part has been deciding to do my own invites, I love being crafty ( in theory not yet in practice)! ![]()
My absolute favorite wedding moment was this past weekend when we received our absolutely amazingly gorgeous custom designed ketubah. It almost made me tear up, and I do NOT cry. I cannot believe that we are going to have something so beautiful, so unique, so US, and so important to our relationship hanging on our wall forever.
Seriously, if anyone is looking for a gorgeous custom ketubah artist, send me a message, Her work is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
My favorite planning memory (4mths and change to go!) so far has got to be making up silly dances to random songs and saying..”we should do this for our first dance”. It’s a nice way to let off a little steam. Not too mention its just plain ol’ fun!
“What you don’t want to do the shopping cart for the first dance? ” haha ![]()
my favorite memory was food tasting with my fiance, my parents, and his parents. it was the first time we were all together at the same time during the planning process, and we were all excited and talking about the wedding:)
One of the best wedding planning memories for me was when I was able to hunt down my husband’s very first boss. If it weren’t for him, my husband would have never been as successful as he is now! I will never forget the look on my husband’s face when he opened the RSVP with his old boss’ name on it as attending! He was so excited, it was like watching a child open his first Christmas present! It even topped the look on his face as I walked down the aisle…now that’s huge!
My favorite wedding planning memory was the first time that my fiance and I went to look at ceremony and reception venues…it was on our 6 year anniversary so, that made the day extra special! What a special way to spend your anniversary…planning your wedding!!!
I look forward to the many more memories that we make planning and in our future life together!!
My favorite planning memory, so far, has been dress shopping and then going to a girly lunch with my mom, MOH, future mother-in-law, and future sisters-in-law.
My favorite wedding planning memory was the night before my wedding, when all the planning was done! I lay down in bed in a room with all my bridesmaids, and realized I planned and made as much as I could, the wedding is tomorrow, and it will be perfect because I’m getting married to the perfect guy, all the diy projects can really make you forget that! Although diy projects made my wedding awesome, and I’m still addicted to this site, a year after my wedding!
Our menu tasting!
Followed closely by the friendships that I’ve made with other brides from my local forum. Awww. ![]()
the best memory was seeing our venue for the first time, i was sold!
My favorite was sitting with the bridesmaids the night before the wedding, and for some reason someone started singing “The Longest Time” by Billy Joel — and everyone joined in, in perfect harmony. I don’t know why, but it was such an amazing, special moment…and made me realize how much I loved my girls!
my favorite wedding planning moment so far was picking out my wedding dress. when i came out wearing the dress I eventually bought and my mom said “that’s THE ONE!” i knew it was the dress for me.
My favorite wedding planning memory is the day I called my long distance relatives and told them I was getting married. Everyone was so supportive and eager to come to the wedding.
So many fav wedding planning memories but so far I think finding my dress is the number one! It also has my name which I think is fate for me to wear it on that day.
My favorite wedding planning memory was setting the wedding date. I was being prep to go into surgery and my doctor comes up with my very very big record file. He saunters across the room and says to my fiance and dad, ” You need to get married. You need to get married soon” ( I have a medical condition that my doctor wants me to have kids soon) I will never forget my fiance’s face. He had been reading the Christmas sales with my dad and he looked up with the most confused look. LOL. He didn’t know what hit him. Nevertheless, I came out of surgery just find and we quickly set the date. It’s been tough on the both of us, but my fiance stepped up to the plate and helped me through it. That’s how I know we are going to make it together.
I think my favorite moment so far is just finding that dress you fall head over heels for.
they are so cute! They would be awesome gifts! I have just started wedding planning but I would say that my favorite memory so far was the excitiment of my fiance over our reception venue. I was out of town so he went to look at it himself. He was super pumped about the whole thing
One of my best friends and I are getting married in May a week apart and can’t really be there for each other’s weddings (she’s getting married in Cali and I’m getting married in VA) — but — we’ve been working on everything together from our invitations to all the little extra special DIY touches that make the day perfect!
My favorite wedding planning memory:
One night, we stayed up until 3am working on our invitations — designing, printing, cutting, folding, stuffing, sealing, stamping — and while it was definitely a long day — we had so much fun doing everything! We look forward to all the other DIY projects we’re going to do together before we all move!
These would make a great gift to share with her and fill with pictures to remind us of all that we’ve been through!
People say that couples spend too much time planning for the wedding and not enough time planning for the marriage - my favorite planning experience so far is reading the book “Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts” by Les and Leslie Parrott and doing the workbook exercises together with my fiance. It has definitely brought us closer! The book is so insightful and hits the nail on the head about relationships, I’ve recommended it to my friends, even those who are just dating or even married for decades!
how practical!
my favorite memory is when we finally booked a wedding venue (it’s crazy when you call and people say that every saturday for 2008 has been booked).
favorite would have to be trying on my grandmother’s wedding dress for my mom
My favorite wedding planning event was finding my dress! After even just one (long) afternoon at the bridal shop, I was disheartened at how I didn’t like any of the dresses I was trying on, and thinking about spending THAT much money on a dress I didn’t like made me want to cry! On a whim, I stopped by the same shop several weeks later on the way home from work.. and everything I tried on was gorgeous! I found THE dress that day!
my fav. wedding planning memory so far was buying my dress!
My favorite planning moment so far was finding the dress at a shop that seemed really chi chi, but ended up being super friendly *and* reasonably priced. Score!
My favorite wedding planning moment was seeing myself for the first time in the mirror wearing *the* wedding dress. I had never felt so beautiful in my life.
So far, my favorite wedding planning memory is (pretty much daily) when my FH senses my stress and hugs me to calm me down or brings me some red wine! Knowing that I am so blessed with this man makes me tingle!
PS…and my maids are all uber-techies who would LOVE this gift way more than jewelry or massages!
My favorite memory was dragging my husband to all the wedding related places, he is such a trooper!
My favorite memory was when my fiancee and I finally decided on the reception venue. I almost cried, I was so happy!
And taking engagement pics weren’t so bad either!
My favorite wedding planning memory was going to caterers to do tastings. I discovered two wonderful places to eat in my hometown that I never knew existed!
The best wedding day memory would have to be (and I know some people would disapprove, but I don’t care) waking up together in our honeymoon sweet the morning of our wedding and having a lavish room service breakfast, all before the wedding craziness started. It was the most calming and relaxing thing for me because my hubby is the most calming and relaxing person in my life. There, I said it.
My favorite wedding planning moment so far was when i was trying to schedule a day that FI and I can goto the town hall to apply for a marriage license. He responded back with, “we can get married tomorrow…” I thought it was cute that he didn’t know the difference between applying for a marriage license and the actual marriage.
I’d LOVE to give these to my BMs, loaded with pics and music that mean something special to all of us.
As for a favorite planning memory: the moment I tried on a veil with my dress. It was the first time I choked up and really felt like a bride!
do i have to mention just one amazing moment/memory? our wedding day was amazing. i guess if i had to choose it would be either the when the doors opened to walk down the aisle or the giddiness we felt after saying our vows.
My favorite wedding planning memory so far (we have so many things left to do!) has been interviewing ceremony musicians. They played us everything from the very traditional, to the white stripes, and i stopped to look around when they were playing Canon in D, and every single person in the room was tearing up! That’s the first time the wedding felt real to me. I never thought i would want to traditional wedding music during the ceremony, but that experience made me realize how powerful it can be- there is so much history and emotion behind it!
Picking my dress!!! I can’t wait till it comes in and I can see it again!
my favorite memory is when my mom’s interior designer friend came up to me at the end of the night to say that the wedding (all of which i planned and diy’d) was nicer that the one she attended at the Four Season’s the night before!!
Well and of course being married to my hubby made the day too!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far has been the food (and cupcake) tasting! Delicious ![]()
Ah…my first comment here on the bee…
My favorite wedding planning moments so far have been me and my fiance learning how to dance. He’s a musician but for some reason can’t translate the rhythm to his feet, so decided to buy a DVD and practice in the privacy of our own home. We have had such a good time learning how to foxtrot, tango, waltz, salsa, swing, etc. He makes silly faces at me and cracks me up…it makes me think of how much fun we’re going to have on our wedding day in 5 weeks.
Shaking uncontrollably with excitement, as they measured me for my gown
favorite planning memory so far has been finding the perfect historic church for our ceremony and standing near the altar with my honey, realizing next time we stood there, we’d be getting married!
My favorite wedding planning moment by far: opening my mom’s wedding dress after 40 years and trying it on. Not a perfect fit (unless I removed a rib), but what a treasured moment to share with my parents. . .
Oh wow these are so cute and practical. My fav wedding memory was dress shopping with my mom. I found the perfect dress with her and on the way home she said it reminded her of her dress. Low and behold, we got home and looked at her dress and the lace is identical. It’s amazing how much we’re alike and don’t even realize it.
My favorite moment so far was when my fiance, after seeing the RSVPs start coming in, asked me “Theoretically, if I decided to start entering those in the computer, how would you want me to do it. Theoretically.” He was so excited about seeing the people coming he wanted to start entering them right away! I also liked how he said “theoretically” to make sure that if he didn’t get it done I couldn’t harrass him about it. LOL
Favorite so far has been getting to do DIY projects with two of my favorite people my Mom and my FI–its a great bonding experiance ![]()
I am yet to wed but have been helping many friends planning theirs, so my favorite part would be when the wedding was done and over with. Now, I love my friends, but I have to be honest, there are times when they were nicer to me! And the food tasting comes a close second of course ![]()
My favorite wedding planning thing thus far has been finding great chill music to play in the background of my reception. Can’t stop listening to Ben Folds Five now.
The 8GB would be great! Thanks!
these would be amazing. My favorite memory was the moment I saw my husband and the look on his face, right before we signed our marriage license.
Wow…those are sure snazzy!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far involved creating the menu for our reception. We (my parents, FH and me) sat down with the chef and owner of the restaurant where we’re having the event and we just had an amazing meeting talking about food, tasting food, getting to include one or two of each of our favorite things into the menu. The owner/chef is just such a great, lighthearted, easygoing guy that seems honestly interested in making our wedding day the best it can be that he really just set such a great tone for not only the meeting but for the entire planning process.
My favorite wedding planning moment was when I scheduled 10 appointments to view 10 different places in Cape Cod and went to the first place, saw the quaint wood shingled chapel (ala JFK Jr/Carolyn Bessett’s Wedding) in the back of the restaurant we were visiting and fell in love. I cancelled the other 9 appointments right there and spent the next 3 days getting excited about the wedding while laying on the beach!

My favorite memory so far is realizing that the perfect venue was right in front of us… after we’d struggled so hard to figure out how to make our wedding possible in the place we wanted.
Yay geek giveaways!!
So far, my favorite memory has been our amazing engagement weekend. He proposed lakeside Saturday night, we spent Sunday telling everyone and getting happy wishes and then on Monday (it was labor day weekend!), we went to the Minneapolis Sculpture garden to spend some time together. It was lovely.
Favorite wedding planning memory: trying on dresses with my mom and fiance in tow. Since I’m planning several hundred miles away from everyone, it was special to have them there for the dress.
Heavens to gators, I need these! Pick me! So far my favorite wedding planning moment was when my mom cried when I tried on my wedding gown.
favorite memory is taking our engagment pics at the place where we met, our college alma mater=) full of all these locations we randomly stopped and talked to each other before dating.
My favorite wedding planning memory so far has been planning the ceremony/reception music with my grandpa - he is a fabulous guitar player and he and his friends are going to get together and play for the wedding.
So cool!!!! My favorite wedding planning memory was going with my best friend to buy garters. Who would have thought the best ones are found at the scandelous shops?!?! ![]()
This may sound cheese, but I have enjoyed every aspect of planning! It hasn’t been too streessful, and my fiancee has been great and supportive. Picking flowers and designs has really made the venue come alive!
My favorite wedding memory is booking our venue. We visited 9 other venues and were ready to give up when FINALLY, the last venue we visited was PERFECT!!!
My favorite wedding planning story was sending our engagement photos to both of his sisters and they both called me separately and told me he looks like the devil in the same picture. lol
I really enjoyed designing and producing my own DIY wedding invitations. I took a lot of time with it and did things just how I wanted, and they’re fabulous.
Best of all, I saved a ton of money over having them done by doing them myself.
My favourite wedding planning moment so far was going wedding dress shopping with my bridesmaids. Like many girls, getting married is something you always dream about, especially when it comes to all the decor and your WEDDING DRESS!
I had so much fun, and it definately gave me chills when I found the perfect dress. It really made me realize even more, that I was really getting married.
I’m in a long-distance relationship & we’re getting married in my hometown, so I work on wedding planning during the week and fly out to see him on the weekends. My favorite memories aren’t of the wedding planning itself–instead, my favorite memories are those weekends where I take a break from planning the little details and instead get to enjoy our engagement and plan our future life together.
I think one of my favorite, if not the favorite, planning memory so far was attending our pre-marriage class at my church. It really renewed our appreciation for each other and helped us to see what is important in life. Any nervousness about getting married was completely gone after that class! It really made us feel like we have a solid foundation to build a strong, healthy marriage upon. It definitely put into perspective what all this planning is for - not the little details (that I obsess over constantly), but the future and the life that we are going to share together. ![]()
My favorite wedding moment was when the bagpiper started playing when my attendants and I started walking down the aisle. All of my guests loved him and the haunting sound inside our big, beautiful church was both energizing and touching.
My favorite wedding planning moment happened right after I got engaged. The night FI and I proposed we ran home and changed our facebook status (like huge dorks). Then I woke up super early the next morning to start looking at dresses, and we had over 100 messages congratulating us - yea for technology! It totally put me in a good mood to start planning!
When I got the dress in the mail, and got to look at it all by myself. It was exactly what I hoped it would be.
My favorite planning thus far has got to be putting on my dress ( the perfect dressing). I felt like a princess
Those are the cutest things ever!! I totally want one!
My favorite wedding memory- walking down the aisle, and getting to see my husband at the end of the aisle (along with seeing all the guests who came!)
I would love to win these! Favorite wedding planning moment thus far has been our guests excited reactions of our save-the-date cards, specifically the photo stamps of our kitties!
I’d love to win these to keep my favorite wedding planning memory: photos of our only year as fiances.
My favorite moment in planning so far was listening for the first time to the original music that FFIL (a composer) wrote for our ceremony. Such an amazing gift!
We’re actually giving out similar little USB drives (with our monogram on them) as favors with the ceremony music and some pictures on them! I have been a little skeptical about whether people would like them, but seeing how many people are excited about this giveaway, I think I’m convinced.
My favorite wedding planning memory is seeing the veil my mom made for me for the first time.
My fiance (with a little help from his friends) threw a surprise bridal shower for me last weekend! Ten months ago I moved to a new city to be with my fiance. Since I live 800 miles away from my friends and family, I pretty much resolved that I would not have a shower. I was completely amazed when I walked into a room filled with ‘my people’… I had no idea!
So far, I have enjoyed how much our bridal party is loving and supporting us. I didn’t realize how important it is for them to be with you/help you/talk to you during this time.
I love the idea of a flash drive (especially one this stylish) as a bridal attendant gift!! My favorite wedding planning memory is searching for my venue. We are getting married outside in the Autumn at a local Bed and Breakfast. The search was awesome and the property we chose should be beautiful! Great for pictures to share on those flash drives!!
my most humorous wedding planning moment so far is when I was talking to my FI on the phone after purchasing my dress.
“I’m worried I made a bad decision to go with 1 dress size smaller like the woman suggested. But she said I’ll fit into it fine since it’s a corset back. Oh wait… I just said corset back… f*&@#$!”
How cute! Wedding planning is super slow for me, our wedding isnt until 2010, BUMMER!!!
My favorite wedding planning memory is working on the wedding invites with my FH. He’s a graphic designer and I’m an editor, so together we poured over the invites until we got every detail right, and I really enjoyed working with him on it. We a definitely a great team!
favorite part of planning is to get input from family members and hear all their stories.
I have this great picture of both our moms walking out of the curch after it was all over with their shoes in their hands, walking bare foot. It is so cute.
I think my favorite memory was running out in a shower of petals. So much fun!
Favorite wedding PLANNING moment: sitting at the florist with my wedding planner (planned everything in 15 weeks from 7 hours away, i had to have her). We’re having three different centerpieces at the reception, with one odd table–the florist asked which arrangement we wanted on the odd (31st) table) and we both said, “The lease expensive one.” at the same time. THat’s when I knew I could have just handed her the budget and walked away, knowing she’d plan a great party.
Favorite wedding planning moment: attending a Running of the Brides with my MOH and then sailing all afternoon with her.
My favorite wedding planning moment so far was the engagement photshoot last weekend with our dogs. We had so much fun, we want to do it every year. ![]()
I had so much fun tasting all of the yummy food from our caterer - can’t wait for more! Would love such a fun gift - we have 4 wedding party members, so I could easily gift them all with this!
When we decided to make the wedding “bike themed”… in tribute to my SECOND greatest love.
Favorite wedding moment: seeing my hubby-to-be before the ceremony and bursting out laughing because we had a huge audience.
My favorite moment was going to plan our rehearsal dinner and discovering that the chef instantly got what I wanted. Who knew that in the middle of the southwestern desert, you’d find someone who understood cajun food and everything that went with it? Now that’s the part of the weekend I’m looking forward to the most!
I love how cute these are!
My favorite wedding planning moment has been working on assembling invitations with my bridesmaids on a long Sunday afternoon. My FH made us snacks and we just hung out and talked. It was so nice to catch up and talk about something other than the wedding. Plus we assembled all the invites in under two hours!
My wedding planning memory… deciding on a destination wedding, flying to aruba, arriving to find out 5 minutes before our meeting with the wedding planner that the hotel had fired her, and there wasn’t anyone for us to meet with!! thank goodness it’s all worked out since then : )
I just love this!
My most favorite wedding planning memory, was my decision to have a DOC. She is just starting out, and gave us such a huge break that she’s handling so much.
We have been indebted to her and her knowledge and giving us the chance to have a dream wedding!
Thanks for this WB and ScanDisk!
My fave planning memory…when I was talking wedding and getting NO reaction whatsoever and I asked him what was up? His response: I’m trying not to get too excited or I swear I’ll pee my pants!…LOL…THAT was totally out of character and really funny!
My favorite wedding planning memory is when FI, FSIL, and I met with our venue owner and our florist to do some planning together!!
Thanks for the opportunity to win a great prize!
My favorite wedding day memory was when my parents and I were waiting ’round the bend to walk down the aisle together. My lovely makeup artist positioned us and said, “anyone need a tissue?” in a joking sort of way, because we’d all been fine the second before, and my mom replied, “umm.. me!” And I looked over to see that she was tearing up with happiness. I felt so loved, lucky, and happy.
My favorite was designing and putting the invitations together.
My favorite wedding day memory was to see all of the men in the family tear up and cry [out of joy and sadness] of seeing their daughter and sister get married. It was such an emotional moment for me to see since they’ve always been the ones to say they would never shed a tear at our wedding. Never say never. =) I never thought having me around them all these years made such an impact. I have many of these types of moments captured on digital photos and short videos that I want to share with my hubby’s elderly grandparents in Canada and my NYC relatives who couldn’t make it to the wedding.
I would have to say my favorite wedding planning memory…it’s only been one month…is getting my first bridal magazine! It really sunk in…I’M GETTING MARRIED!!! Now, I just need to buckle in and start planning…for reals!
I’ve only begun the proces, but my favorite memory to date has been trying on wedding dresses!
My favorite wedding day memory was watching my husband start to tear up as soon as I began walking down the aisle. For months before the wedding he would scoff whenever I told him I was afraid I would cry…and he ended up being the one that needed a tissue!! I, instead, giggled uncontrollably because I was so nervous about saying the vows I wrote to him in front of our 250 guests!!
my favorite wedding day memory was dancing to elvis singing viva las vegas w/by new hubby
Favorite wedding planning memory is trying on “the dress” and seeing my mom and dad get choked up! It seemed like it was happening for real then!
Favorite wedding memory: the few minutes we had together alone between the ceremony and reception. Priceless.
favorite wedding memory: (other than the moment right after the ceremony where we were overjoyed and out of breath) - meeting my absolute favorite singer on the street in NYC and having him in our wedding photos.
Fabulous!! I love the pink! My favorite wedding planning memory to date was picking the location with my fiance - we went to Colorado to make our decision between Aspen and Vail for our destination wedding (we live in Houston). Both venue wedding consultants at the hotels bumped us up to suites for our stay. So luxurious!! We are so spoiled now!! It was a great mini vacay and fun spending time with my sweetie.
I’d love a jump drive to store all of those pics.
My favorite memory is sitting down at the end of the night and thinking that i actually pulled it off - the whole wedding.
My favorite wedding planning memory is meeting with the travel agent to go over our honeymoon plans to St. Lucia!
My favorite wedding memory is sliding the invitations in the mailbox… and immediately afterwards wondering if I just saw two envelopes with the same name on them or if I was really going crazy. Turns out it was the latter, but I had a good laugh with the friend whose name I was seeing double.
My favorite wedding planning memory so far was having my dad go with me to pick out my dress. He wasn’t around much while I was growing up and he’s very much a man’s man, so having him come and ooh and ahh over dresses until we found the perfect one was the best ever!
My favorite planning moment (so far!) was going to look at our very first venue, which ended up being the one we chose. It made our engagement and everything begin to feel real!
My favorite planning moment has to be our visit to Disney World and seeing the wedding pavilion at Disney and knowing that we are going to be married there!
My favorite memory was when, during the father/daughter dance, my dad tried to dip me and ended up dropping me. Then when he regained his own footing (he fell too) he couldn’t get me up and accidentally dragged me across the dance floor (and through a bit of chocolate cake). As unanticipated as it was, it was absolutely hilarious and makes for a great memory (that only a couple of people were quick enough to catch). ![]()
Favorite planning memory:
stamping and sending out the invitations. I had a couple girl friends over and we got 100 assembled, stamped and mailed that night, it was a wonderful way to catch up with my busy girls. ![]()

Keeping my fingers crossed, as I have to be the only modern person without a thumb drive!
Anyway, my favorite wedding memory was the applause when the officiant (my dad) introduced us as husband and wife. It was THUNDEROUS, and made us feel so supported and cheered-for by everyone there.
Please pick me! My favorite planning memory so far is with our first dance. My FI has been pretty laid back about being involved, but in the evenings, he always looks at me hopefully and says, “can we practice our dance yet??”
My fiance and I are long distance for the time being, so the best part so far is how excited he is for the honeymoon planning and how he’ll talk abou it forever!–we’ve spend hours and hours on the phone going over websites and options. It’s so fun and I’m glad he’s getting excited about at least some of the planning.
My favourite wedding planning moment was when my FH agreed to take dance lessons *and* has been enjoying every single one of them! Yay!
yikes! too cute!
favorite wedding planning moment: catching up with old friends!!
Fave wedding day memory is watching my husband spend 5 hours writing his vows the morning of the ceremony
my favorite planning memory was explaining to Hubby that STDs were save the dates and not the other thing!
who doesn’t love free stuff? this would be great as part of a bridal party gift.
i had decided to give out flash drives to my bm’s already so what a great giveaway (especially b/c they’re so pretty!)
fav wedding planning moment is seeing FI actually EXCITED to plan the wedding (even if most of his excitement is mostly food-related) it’s really not just for the bride. it’s for us ![]()
My fav wedding planning moment was realizing that I can do DIY projects! I’ve only figured out one so far, but I’m really happy with it!
The best moment so far was finishing the invitations! I spent over 40 hours on those suckers…
My favorite wedding planning moment was when my FH and I finally agreed on a ceremony/reception venue. He had one absolute request for his wedding, which was lobster and shark fin soup at the reception. I wanted to hold my wedding at a classy and sophisticated venue. I almost caved in to having the reception at a Chinese restaurant, but then we both found a hotel with a European style decor that served Chinese banquet style dishes (lobster and shark fin soup). Score!
My favorite wedding memory was spending time with friends and family we hadn’t seen in a year. We moved to Hawaii a year ago, and we were so thrilled when everyone close to us choose to make the long trip here and celebrate with us!
Those are awesome!! My favorite wedding planning moment so far actually happened before we were engaged. I saw an office building that had a rooftop that would be perfect for our wedding, but it’s an office building and they don’t normally have events there. I based my whole color scheme and theme of our wedding based on seeing that building, even buying my dress based on the feel I got from it. Thank goodness it has worked out!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far was definitely rocking out in the limo with my Maid of Honor as we headed back home from a wedding show we were attending. SO much fun!
omg alligator skin flash drives! I didn’t even know those existed. One of my favorite wedding planning tasks was designing our cake topper…we’re doing mii cake toppers and had to design miis that looked like ourselves. We can’t wait to see how they turn out!
My favorite wedding planning memory actually happened today.
FI and I were walking down the sidewalk together, talking about what I would be doing for the summer, as we’ll be apart. Then he said, “We need to get some serious planning done this summer.” I thought he meant life/finance/grad school type of planning, but I was unsure which of those three it could be, so I asked. He said, “No, we need to get lots of WEDDING planning done this summer.” What a champ!
my favorite wedding planning memory has to be when i found the perfect dress! i tried it on once i tried it on twice, i dragged my friends with me on the final decision making day. the feeling of trying on a dress and knowing that it’s THE ONE is definitely surreal.
having my fiance call and say thank you for all the wedding day planning…
brought me to tears
my fav was when my new husband teared up giving his speech about how he knew i was the one.
My favourite wedding planning memory (so far) was when I had bought mountains of bridal magazines and I was reading them in bed and my FH asked for one to read too. We read them and planned together.
My favorite wedding plannaing memory was picking out our rings!
My favorite wedding memory was catching the bouquet at my sisters wedding… when I was eight!
my fave wedding memory would be shopping for a dress for my cousins wedding in 6th grade… it was my first real formal dress & i felt so grown up to get to go to a wedding!
My favorite planning moment is find my dress, under-budget!
My favorite has been trying on my dress and walking out to join my friends .. and a huge gasp when I came out. I knew then … this dress was the one! ![]()
My favorite wedding planning moment so far has been getting my $2000 dress off ebay for $150!
My fave so far has been swapping ideas with my two best girlfriends! All three of us got engaged within the space of five months, so it’s been super fun to bounce venue ideas, dress prices, and color combos off eachother.
My favorite wedding planning moment has been trying on my wedding dress and realizing it was “the” dress!
oh I could definitely use one for myself. I’m still rocking a 256kb jumpdrive.. so limited and I unfortunately lost my 8gig with all my wedding info… so heartbroken
Drool! These look delish. My favorite wedding planning moment took place today when I had my hair and makeup trial (which I used for my engagement shoot) and I looked in the mirror and finally saw a bride!
Favorite wedding planning memory so far:
Trying on my wedding dress at the final fitting last weekend and feeling truly beautiful from head to toe.
Favorite Memory: Scouting for locations for the ceremony and reception sites.
My favorite wedding related moment was my fiance proposed!
my favorite planning memory was finding the perfect ceremony site with my fiance. He was just about to deploy and we chose it…and began planning our future right there. 1.5 years later and many MANY months apart, we are just days from living in the same city again and less than a month from our vows. Can’t wait.
My favorite moment so far is when my fiance emailed me a picture of zombie cake toppers and asked me if they would work with our color scheme. I laughed so hard. Sometimes the more lighthearted moments are the best. They remind me not to take everything so seriously.
My favorite wedding planning memory so far (one month to go today!) has been picking out my dress. My mom cried and it was just a beautiful moment.
my favorite wedding planning memory was when my fiance said, “hey, if our wedding is in 6 months, should we start thinking about sending invitations or something?” Like I didn’t have that covered!
My favorite planning moment so far was when I went to meet with my caterer. I felt like she “got” me right away and the tasting felt like a big family party!
My favorite memory is going with my fiance to see the spot where we thought we would have our wedding reception. We walked into the lodge, looked around and both our jaws dropped. We then looked at one another and we both said “Oh yeah!”. Then we went and booked it! I’m so excited!
my best wedding planning memory so far is finally being able to set our wedding date, after 6 months of being engaged, and the wedding is only 4 months away!
My favorite planning memory so far is deciding who my bridesmaids will be. I can’t wait to experience my special day with them…we’ve talked about it since we were elementary schoolers!
my favourite memories so far have been all my nightmares! they make me laugh even when i get caught up in all the details.
dreams like the groom telling me in the limo that we were heading to his wedding with another woman…forgetting to book the officiant…how can it not make me laugh!!!
This would be perfect for me as I have exactly 5 bridesmaids… or my fiance could give them to his groomsmen… we’re all geeks here ![]()
Well crap, I totally forgot my memory… I’d say buying my dress… it was the 3rd one I tried on and when I tried it on, it started SNOWING outside… in a place that NEVER gets snow… it was pretty awesome!
the favorite planning moment so far has been going for my hair/makeup trial. Thats when it really sunk in that the wedding is coming soon and that i will look fabulous! ![]()
Going dress shopping with my mom. She has waited a very long time for her only daughter to get married.
My favorite wedding memory is when my dad and mom got together with my FI’s parents and they were all excitedly talking about the wedding. My FI and I just stood back and watched :0)
(I love the red!)
my favorite wedding planning memory is making invitations with the BMs because it gave us a chance to bond before such a big change in all our lives =)
my favorite planning memory so far was when my diy wedding invitation was finally done and ready to be mailed… could it be compared to the birth of a child??
My favorite wedding planning memories are definitely bonding with my parents and my future in-laws during the planning process. It is really is bringing our families together. Everytime we go to a tasting or visit a potential venue for the wedding festiviites, we have such a great time laughing and sharing stories. The smiles on our parents faces make me so warm and fuzzy inside.
My favorite wedding day memory was when we tossed a coin at the altar in front of everyone to see who would go first. I lost but it was good because I bawled when he said his vows, so it was good I got to go first. :0
Fav wedding memory? We’re marrying on my grandfather’s birthday birthday in the same park I played in with him as a girl. There’s a great story of me seeing a bride having her photos down when I was three or four and asking if “I could get married there someday” And now I am!
It’s really hard to pick. We are having so much fun, and my FI is really great about being involved in all the decision making and all the running around. But I think the best moment we had so far was when we finally managed to get his mom and brother down to visit for the weekend, to meet my parents. My sister flew in from New Mexico with her new baby, so we were all at brunch together, and everybody just got along so well it was like they had known each other for years. My FI gave me a big hug and said “What a great family we have!” And he’s right, we do.
mine would have to be going to the florist. I think that’s when it all comes togethr in terms of design and the wedding fantasy starts becoming reality.
Oh wow, so many….but at this point our engagement pictures!!! We had so much fun!!! Just walking around and being lovey with eachother. We both enjoyed it so much!!! = )
hmm… i would say so far it’s just blogging and getting ideas and feedback from the readers. that’s been the best part so far.
My favorite memory is assembling our invitations late-night in bed to get them out the next day.
My favorite wedding planning memory is when my fiance and I put the deposit down for the ceremony/reception hall! It all felt so real all the sudden…it felt like such a big deal right then…like if we were putting down the deposit for a house or something…My wedding is in November and I can’t wait!!!!
Favorite wedding memory so far… when I tried on the dress and my bridesmaids all in unison said “awww….” I swear one of them teared up!
Oooh! I LOVE Flash Drives!! My favorite planning memory was the food tasting at our venue with my parents and FI. We were just expecting a quick meeting with a bite of each dish. But it was a full 4-course meal by candlelight with our own private server! It’s a small place, so they scheduled it just before another wedding since they would have food prepared that day. Our table was set up in a screened-in porch so we were not interfering with the other couple’s event, but we got to see everything going on around us while staying out-of-sight. It was really neat to see how everything worked there and it gave us great insight into how our day would go. Not to mention it was a nice dinner with my parents, as they shared stories of their wedding day with us that I had never heard. We really enjoyed the whole evening and were stuffed with great food when we left!!
I have a couple…my favorite wedding planning memories so far have been trying on and purchasing my dress, my hair/makeup trial and taking my engagement pictures. These were the moments so far that made it feel like that the wedding was real and that I was actually getting married!! =)
my favorite wedding planning memory was sitting with my florist, my mom, and my husband’s mom, and picking out the flowers. This was the first time that I had been alone with just my mom and future mother-in-law without anyone else in the family, and it was such a great experience that I think opened the doors to us all getting close. There were lots of laughs, and I really began to feel like our familiers were coming together.
My favorite planning memory is calling our officiant, who has known me my whole life, and telling him we wanted to have him marry us. Even after 15 years as a preacher, it’s his first wedding, and he was incredibly touched.
oooo nice, favorite memory so far is when my fiance and I tried on our wedding bands. It felt so real to me and was just the best feeling!
My favourite wedding planning memory was asking my future sister in law to be a bridesmaid. I don’t think she was expecting me to ask, and she teared up, and was so excited! I love thinking about how marriages makes family double ![]()
My favorite planning moment happened only two days ago when I got a phone call from my uncle out of the blue. We chatted for a moment when he asked me if my fiance and I would mind if he handled the cake. He explained that he wanted to help us out with the wedding and that I thought this would be a good way. We gladly took him up on the offer and really appreachiate his guesture. We have thought about the cake or cupcakes but have not committed to anything. We have send him some pictures and ideas but we are both excited for the surprise - it is one more thing to check off the list.
hugging FI after thinking all couldn’t have gone more wrog and realizing the important thing that is right is still there
By far it was going dress shopping with my mom. I had actually bought my dress already at a Brides Against Breast Cancer benefit, but wanted her to have the dress shopping experience since I am her only daughter. I tried on lots of beautiful gowns and lots of funny gowns I’d never wear. She had a ton of fun and we just laughed the entire day!
so far the best thing about planning has been being able to get closer to my mom in the process. we were getting so busy in our lives and hadn’t been in contact as much as in the more recent months- it has given us more reason to take time out of our schedules to see one another… that will always be something i will remember.
Wow - I have had so many great memories about planning my wedding - and to have to choose only one….hmmm. I can’t do it. I love all aspects of planning my wedding from the initial date slection to dress shopping, to invitations, themes..I can go one forever. It is a great way to begin making meomories of a new life together with your future hubby ![]()
i’ve been needing a thumb drive for a while now since i broke my last one!
favourite wedding planning moment so far……. when alex and i finally found our venue and the wonderful event coordinator informed us that they have a french-canadian chef who can make us poutine for the wedding. i think that sealed the deal right there.
My favorite wedding planning memory was dress shopping with my then best-friend. We’re not as close anymore, not sure why, but it is a memory I hold on to.
My favorite memory is going dress shopping, finding the perfect dress for 70% off!
Oh my gosh! I could sooooo use those drives! My wedding date is August 30th, 2008 and I’ve done alot of planning thus far. I’ve already bought my dress (it’s hanging in the spare room), I just paid the deposit on my wedding and ceremony site last night! I’m about to do invitations! Yeah, I’m on my way. Now I just need more storage for all the pictures and Excel documents that I’m using for planning.
My favorite wedding day memory is not from my wedding - it is from being the MOH at my sister’s wedding. It was such an amazing experience!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far is booking the church and our reception site.
My favorite wedding planning memory (and we are still planning), is when we saw our wedding site, the entire party jumped up and down and said …. “It’s got to be here!”
My favourite planning memory so far is asking my grandparents if we could have our wedding at their home. (They have a HUGE backyard that is perfect for parties!) They were so proud! ![]()
my favorite memory- sitting outside eating before we did our meet and greet and looking at each othe thinking ‘we did it!’
My favorite wedding planning memory - I went back to my parents house for the week prior to the wedding; every night my Dad and I would practice our walk. Sometimes we’d get so punchy and silly, we’d make it a crazy funky walk and insert all sorts of fun moves. I think he was doing this because I was starting to get a bit stressed at that time . . . later he told me how nervous he was the week before the wedding, but I would not have even guessed it. He was intent on easing my stress and making me comfortable. ![]()
i can’t decide btw 2 memories–either cake tasting with fi, FIL, and my mom, or gocco’ing invitations with my friend.
My favorite wedding planning memory was when we fell in love with our wedding venue - the Tobacco Warehouse. We spent months looking for a venue and had finally decided on a beautiful, indoor site. Something just didn’t rest well with us and when we drove up by the Tobacco Warehouse every cell in our body felt like it was activated.
I’ve always heard that you’ll know “it” when you see “it” and it was true in this case. Rain or shine, this is going to be my favorite part of the wedding.
My favorite memory is dress shopping with MOH and my Mom.
I was dreading dress shopping with a passion since I’m not a size six. When I finally went, Mom and I made a few days of it and it turned into one of the best experiences of my life. Mom and I spent hours in the car talking, laughing and bonding. Then when she told me that Dad was buying my dress I broke down in tears (we’re paying for everything else). Such a fabulous memory and I now have a beautiful Maggie dress on its way!
My favorite wedding memory was finding a fabulous spot to host my weekend wedding event. I know it is going to be a blast!
those would be so much fun!
my fave planning moment has been designing our cake — we’re both professors, and it looks like a stack of books!!
my favorite planning moment so far has to be working with my cake topper lady and customizing my manatee cake topper ![]()
My favorite moment was attending my first bridal show. It just solidfied the fact that this was really happening!
My favorite planning memory thus far: asking my closest family and friends to be a part of my wedding party. They were super excited, as was I, and it was a really sentimental moment.
I’m still early in the process. But my favorite memory so far was when we were standing in a store picking out items for our DIY Save-The-Dates and my FI suggested something that showed he really had been listening to my wants for the STDs. It was so cute and thoughtful!
My favorite is when my fiance helped me bid on a dress on eBay although we didn’t win. He is always helpful & supportive.
my favorite wedding memory: when the priest forgot the rings and ended the ceremony and the pianist refused to play the wedding song because the pianist at least knew they were missing a very important part of the ceremony!
My favorite planning process has been making my own invitations and favors for the wedding. They add a special personalized touch that will make our wedding unique!
I think the best part of planning my May 09 wedding is knowing that our baby will be there to celebrate with us. You’d think finding out your expecting after only being engaged for 3 months would cause me to push up our wedding, but I can’t be any happier to know our first pictures as husband and wife will also double as our first pictures as our new family!
I want to win!
And every moment involved planning my wedding is my favorite!!
my favourite moment in planning, thus far, has been the giddy look in my SO’s face as we walked away from the reception place after our menu meeting, and seeing how excited he was.
I haven’t started with the planning yet and I haven’t been married before so I can’t share a memory but I hope I can still enter. I’d be able to get a lot of use out of this. Please enter my name. Thank you
My favorite memory has to be working on creating my own invitations with my best friend on the Gocco machine. It involved rigging a light box using a cutting board and mini flashlights, redrawing the design by hand, and about 10 hours of inking and pressing. The feeling when you’re done is AWESOME.
Oooh, those would come in SO handy to transport BIG wedding planning documents and photos back and forth from work and home computers. I have two favorite memories: one has been designing and printing our own STDs and invitations, and the other has been doing the healthy bride bootcamp with other Seattle area brides. I’ve been getting super healthy, and also lots of bridal bonding. ![]()
how perfect! my favorite wedding planing memory so far has been watching the excitement on my fiance’s face to attend the food tasting ![]()
My favorite wedding planning memory planning away with my best friend who is also a wedding bee….got to love us bridezillas!
My favorite planning memory so far is when I went to a thrift store with my mom on a whim and found a set of wine glasses with thistles on them for a whopping $2.00. (We’re doing a Scottish theme wedding with thistles.) We now have a set of special wine glasses for the entire bridal party that we can use later at home!
Favorite so far is all the laughing my FI and I do over how crazy our parents are.
my favorite thing so far is reading all the weddingbee blogs !!!!
These would be SO great — all of my bridesmaids & I are in some form of school (I’m in law school, but they are still in undergrad), so we always have to save papers, presentations, etc. My favorite planning memory so far is creating my wedding website — I’m getting class credit for it through a web design course, so I also have a professor to help me with any questions I have!
My favorite wedding planning memory so far was my bridal shower. It was just so nice to get away from all the planning for a day and just hang out w/my girl friends. Some of the gifts were just so fun and I was laughing all day at all the funny comments.
the moment when I finally got my cake toppers from Nicole Clarke… I ripped that baby open even though she said not to but I couldnt wait! I love them cause my dog buddy wont be at our wedding but his mini me will be there.
Fun! My favorite wedding planning moment was when finished designing our save the date cards. It felt so real!!!
my favorite wedding day moment was our first dance…my talented older brother performed “true,” the song that my husband sang to me before he proposed. ![]()
when my friend and i foudn out we picked the same exact wedding dress… yikes!
My favorite wedding planning moment was finding “the one.” No, I don’t mean my husband, I mean the dress! I had gone through so many and even bought 3. In my case, the 3rd time really was the charm and I found a dress that was perfectly me and perfect for my outdoor summer ceremony and perfectly perfect!
My favorite wedding planning memory (so far) has been brainstorming unique places to hold our rehearsal dinner and reception. We are currently considering using our local farmers market, which we visit each week, for our food and favors! These gifts are a great idea — to give to each bridesmaid with pictures from the big day would be such a great gift idea.
favorite memory–putting on a veil after finding a fabulous dress and really seeing myself as a bride for the first time!
my favorite memory (so far) happened when i was trying on dresses. it all seemed anti-climatic until the sales lady placed a veil on my head. reality.hit.hard! just thinking about the sacredness of *my* wedding day made me tear-up. i’m so glad to be marrying my best friend. ![]()
My fav memory was the best man’s toast. It was so touching =)
Being engaged to a techie has definitely had an effect on me! I love these little flash drives! Too cute! One of my recent favorite memories has been putting the stamp on our first invite and sending it in the mail. It makes it all feel so real!!
so far picking what my dress will look like (my aunt is making it)!
My favorite wedding planning is flowers!!!!! I’m ordering them in bulk online and I’m going to do everything (except my bouquet and the guys’ boutonnieres) myself. Instead of being a stress, I find it totally relaxing and something I enjoy doing!
My favorite wedding planning moment has been making all my save the dates, invitations, and programs and having everything think they are professionally done. ![]()
Engagement photos! I didn’t expect FI to like it, but he had so much fun! It was a chance to forget about the stress of wedding planning and just goof off for a few hours and remember how much we love each other.
i love learning more about my finance. We’ve really had to learn how to compromise.
My fave moment yet was walking into our ceremony venue for the first time and just falling in love with the lobby, which became our reception venue.
My favorite wedding planning memory so far is figuring out how our invitations will be put together..
My favorite wedding planning memory so far has been honeymoon planning with FI. He is so excited, its super cute!
my favorite wedding day memory would be the moment i saw my husband in his tux, and saw his eyes light up as i proceeded down the aisle. i’ll never forget that moment.
my fave memory (that I can share
is the proud look and almost teary eyed smile before walking me down the aisle.
I think my cousin’s wedding, held in an old restored farmhouse was my favorite wedding of all time. All of the guests couldn’t fit in a room at one time, but the entire event felt so cozy. It felt like she had invited us over to her house to celebrate with her!
cute. my favorite wedding planning memory is trying on my wedding gown.
my fave wedding planning moment was when we figured out what was the prevailing theme for our wedding. It sort of inspired us to work on all the elements of the wedding. We still have a long way to go. but it has helped us a lot in making this event our very own.
Favorite memory: hanging out with family at the Filene’s Bridal Gown sale …. even though we didn’t find a dress, it was fun!
Believe it or not, shopping for bridesmaid dresses has been one of my favorite moments so far.
Me being not so much a flower person…. I have really enjoyed selecting the flowers and decor of my wedding. I thougth It would be a drag but my FI’s mother was a great help.
My girls would love these! Especially the pink ones! My fave moment so far has been being successful at bargain hunting all the decor.
walking down the isle and looking up at my now hubby’s smiling face.
My favorite wedding planning memory is…finding the reception location. The planner is a God send and brought great piece of mind!
Then you ask the question of form over function - pink or black….
this is harder than I thought it would be. planning in general has been great for me. but I guess list making (and of course, crossing off) would be my favorite part so far.
These are so cute! My favorite planning moment was when I saw the proofs of our engagement session with our photographer. They were so beautiful that it’s made me soooo excited for my wedding photos.
my favorite wedding planning moment is trying on the bridesmaid dresses with the girls and being on he other side of things.
Wedding planning moment - finding a deal on invitation supplies from Cards and Pockets - Thank You Weddingbee - and realizing that I don’t have to settle on my invitations.
favorite wedding moment(s)- our first kiss as husband and wife, and being pronounced as mr and mrs.!
I’m not too far into the process yet, but my fav so far is choosing dresses
I’m in the very preliminary stages of planning, but my favourite memory so far was when I was feeling shaky and excited about personalized tea tins as favours. I never thought I was the wedding planning type–not one of those who’s been imagining my wedding dress since i was 7–but that was when I realized, “Hey, this might be fun after all.”
my favorite planning day was the day we got engaged- the day that began the entire planning season! It was a beautiful day, my family was all home, my mom was feeling good (she was on chemo) and groom and i were closer than we had been ever. Even though we’d always talked about marriage, adn I helped pick out the ring and i knew he had the ring.. it was still so thrilling and made me soar with happiness. Telling my family, my hands shaking and my smile hurting my face, was one of the happiest moments of my life.
So far, my favorite wedding planning moments have been taking my FI to look at the venue I’d had my heart set on, and he loved it too… and cake tasting. My family and I are doing all the food, so we make a cake every other weekend so we can try it. LOL ![]()
My favorite wedding planning day was the day I bought my dress. My grandmother went with us to pick out dresses. She got teary every time I walked out of the fitting room. When I put on the last one and said “this is it!” she said “honey, I want to buy it for you.” The bridal consultant started crying b/c she was so touched and then my grandma cried, I cried, my sister and MOH cried and we all hugged each other and laughed in joy!
I loved waiting in the bride’s room at the church right before the ceremony. All of us were a little nervous and my best friends in the world were tearing up (and I wasn’t!). It was a touching, wonderful moment that I will never forget.
MY favorite wedding planning moment so far was when my fiance and I went to book the venue and he actually looked excited and had a say in so many things.. it made it real and special for us, like, “this is where it will all begin”
my favorite part of wedding planning was the running of the brides event where i scored my dress!
my favorite part of wedding planning was when i went to a nonprofit store to buy my dress. i was determined to buy my dress there because all proceeds go to inner city schools. i tried on 12 dresses with no success, then on a whim picked up one that was way too big “just because i have to try on one more thing.” when i walked out my moh and bridesmaid were both nodding and smiling and when i stood on the platform and unraveled the train they both gasped.
My favorite wedding memory (we just got married on the 19th) was when I first set eyes on the groom. he was standing on the balcony of our 200 yr old house location, looking at the water, while i crept up behind him. when he turned around we just giggled and smooched and said “wow”
Hi everyone, if you didn’t win this one, don’t be discouraged! We are running a contest at Our Wedding Plus giving away 10 Cruzers and a free wedding website.
My favorite wedding planning moment was when my Best friend since childhood surprised me at my Bridal Shower by telling me she was able to go to my Destination Wedding, which is only 13 days away! We chose a destination wedding because we are paying for our wedding on our own and couldn’t afford a formal wedding. Unfortunately some of our friends / family could not make it to our big day due to finances, health or job related issues. Being able to give our friends / family who could not go a flash drive filled with memories from our big day and honeymoon would be priceless.
My favorite wedding planning moment so far has been trying on and buying my wedding dress with my mom, bridesmaids, and flower girl all present. As I stood beaming in my wedding dress, my three year old flower girl in her precious dress, I was more excited to be married than I ever thought possible. I stood on the platform in front of huge mirrors while my mom smiled with such satisfaction. Then my flower girl, wanting to be just like me begged to stand up on the platform and pose for pictures as well. As we stood taking pictures together, I knew that I could not have chosen a better wedding party to celebrate the day with me.
