About Mrs. Cherry Blossom

What Face Do I Want To Wear?

April 28th, 2008 @ 4:00 pm by Mrs. Cherry Blossom

The wedding is coming up fast . All decisions that were made should be final, or should they?

I’m thinking about changing my face. Diana Wilcenski, my awesomeness hair and make up artist, totally rocked it out for my trial… except I decided to change the lipstick. Here’s the more classic look for the wedding that we had agreed on:

So I went back to her of course, to get my make up done for our engagement pictures and I’m stumped. Which face should I wear?

And just a note - this is me with the make up at home 12 hours later! The only thing I touched up on myself was my lipstick through out the day:

Hear hear, gimme your thoughts?

don’t take this the wrong way but i can’t tell the difference.

I think the first picture is the most “bridal” but it seems like the lighting has made a difference too. I love the dewey complexion and softer lip color of the first picture.

I agree with West, they look the same to me. They both look great.

4.
Mrs. S says:

They look similar but I like the slightly softer look in number 1.

I like the first picture best.

no offense taken ladies. you know maybe yall are all right and there’s no difference. nothing to worry about here. LOL.

just fyi - the first one is mostly neutral purple/brown. the second one is more dark pink, purple shadowing. =0)

1st picture!

knudsonwedding says:

I like the first one

Emily says:

First one, with maybe a softer pink color lipstick?

10.
Emily says:

I actually like the second one, I think it highlights your eyes better and I like the more pink lipstick

skiv says:

First one. Softer and more “glowy”.

MissBlueBear says:

I think the glow in Pic 1 would def come out much nicer in wedding day pics…but that’s just me!

marianneinvan says:

I like the second one better. It complements you really well, without looking “done.”

For some reason, I like the first picture better, but again, I can’t find anything specific that’s different. But I guess that’s the sign of a good make-up artist - you see you, and not the make-up.

I think, as the others have said, the first one looks softer and more glowing. I like your hair up as well.

15.
Mrs. Bear says:

definitely the first one! the second one is a bit more glam but i think your complexion doesn’t need so much added color because it is already gorgeous, and the emphasis is so much more on your pretty eyes.

GetMarried4Less says:

number 1 with a shade or so darker lipcolor.

ally says:

i like the first pic cuz its softer and more natural. do both. the first one for day 1 and the other for day 2. but maybe its the lighting?

i can tell the diff between the lip colors. i think the colors she used on the eyes for the epics are darker and stand out more.

Blackbird says:

I think that #1 flatters your skin tone more. BTW, what color are you wearing in #1?

19.
beanchar says:

#1 seems a little more bridal to me too, but you’ll look smashing either way b/c you are a stone fox, CB! ;)

The 1st one, your face glows :)

I think the first picture is more romantic but I like the third picture the best.

You so hot you dont need no makeup. 2nd face is hotter, but first is more romantic…I think you want to go romantic? I love your makeup person, they do a great job!

25.
ninjastarlett says:

I like the second one because the blush and powder is softer and more natural looking.

go classic! you look so romantic and beautiful!!

jean says:

Are you going to be mostly outdoors or indoors? If outdoors, then go with the first one b/c it’s a bit lighter. The darker makeup leaves more room for error in terms of lighting since the natural light can be harsh if your photographer doesn’t get it right.

h says:

i think what makes the first two pics look different is the hair style. the updo really completes the bridal look. but yeah, the make up looks the same. :)

Lana says:

I dunno why but the first pic looks more glowy, it looks nice and warm. The colors seem to pop out more looking very bridal. I’m simply glad there isn’t that harsh foundation line indicating make up applied. The second pic, the eyeshadow is more prominent; whereas the first pic, all the colors from the eyes, cheeks and lips all tie in well. My two cents, now gimme back my change! Counting down baby!!!! breathe *whoo whoo hee*

I think the lighting is different enough in both pictures it is hard to tell. It looks like you have a little bit less blush in the second picture which I like better.

I like the first picture too but I would suggest adding on sum fake lashes.
