About Me: I moved around a lot growing up, but consider myself a Southerner at heart. I love scrapbooking, dancing, doggies, and diet coke. I am all about personalizing everything and hence, I'm a DIY bride who is just loving the entire wedding planning process! Mr. Daffodil and I met in our college fellowship group and were "just friends" for three years before we started dating. We've been together for four years now and can't wait to get married in sunny SoCal, Mr. Daffodil's hometown.
Last Wednesday, Mr. D and I trekked over to City Hall during my lunch break and got our marriage license
. It was yet again one of those surreal experiences, when you are like, wow this is really happening!

Blogging Since: February 5, 2008
Venue: The Abbey Resort
About Me: It’s hard to believe that by the time Mr. Sundae and I get married we will have been together for almost ten years. When we first met in college we split dollar pitchers and now we share the mortgage payments. Despite our love for the city we are looking forward to tying the knot in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
We headed up to Wisconsin last weekend to test drive the design for the tables, and it went better than expected! There was so much going on that I didn’t take very many pictures but hopefully you’ll be able to get the idea. The runner now has a black border on one side - my Mom used both satin ribbon and bias tape (you can only see the ribbon in this picture) to try and give it a more “finished” look. Both options looked great but we decided it would be easier for her to use bias tape because it can actually be wrapped around the edge, preventing her from having to finish the edges and then attach the ribbon.

Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Medical Student
Engagement Date: September 22, 2006
Wedding Date: July, 2008
Venue: Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa
About Me: Born and raised New Yorker planning a destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico. Got proposed to in Cancun, so it’s only fitting we are going back to get married. I love trivia, board games, bargain shopping, asian dramas and eating yummy food!
I have two adorable little boys I need to dress for the wedding. Mr. Lovebird wants to dress them like this…

Scary thing is, I don’t think he’s kidding. He got so excited when I googled “ring bearer” and jokingly told him the idea when the search turned up info on The Lord of the Rings. I have to admit, we did search for some hobbit toddler costumes online, but I’m hoping it’ll be a last resort.

About Me: Mr. Cupcake and I hit it off at a Halloween party and immediately began a long-distance relationship. After two years, he moved to my neck of the woods, and a year and a half after that, he proposed at the “place we fell in love.” I am a true perfectionist who enjoys designing and creating more work for myself, so wedding planning is my perfect outlet. Mr. Cupcake and I are both old souls, and we hope to weave that aspect of our personalities into our wedding day.
My Weddingbee bio states that Mr. Cupcake and I are both “old souls” — we are both extremely sentimental people who constantly talk about how things used to be “back in the day.” I love hearing stories about his childhood and seeing pictures of him growing up. So, naturally, I want to find a way to display pictures of both of us through the years, as kids through to adulthood, and then once we met each other.
Come on now — just look at how cute he was:
Mr. Cupcake still loves to fish, but now he wears sunglasses so he doesn’t squint like that

About Me: Mr. H and I come from very different cultures and backgrounds so I'm excited to plan our wedding with a balance of both traditions. My mom has always been a DIY queen, and I'm just now starting to get into it with a new house and a wedding to plan!
Sunday equaled T-minus five months until our big day. In two weeks, I’ll be taking my bridal portraits and my biggest dilemma, for now, is my hair. You might remember that I had two trials, one not so hot, and the other was a big win. While I know that I want to wear my hair up for our wedding, I’m thinking of doing something different for my bridal portraits.

About Me: I have been engaged for about two years now - yes, a long engagement, because my fiance and I wanted to wait until I graduated college, which I did this past summer! He proposed after dating just two months - crazy, I know, but 2 years later, here we are, still crazy in love :-). We are having not one, but TWO weddings and TWO receptions in one weekend - American-style and Vietnamese-style - in Dallas, Texas, where I was born and raised!
After much waiting (maybe 2-3 months), J. Scheer finally finished cleaning my gown and shipped it back. There is some good news and some bad news. Here is the unwrapping of the gown!

It came in a huge box inside a box

Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Engineer
Engagement Date: January 8, 2007
Wedding Date: October 6, 2007
Venue: a beautiful church and hotel reception
About Me: I love dancing, singing, eating out, eating in, surfing on the net, and brainstorming fantastic ideas. I also love cats, coffee, and know every quote written on Sex & the City. I'm known to laugh really loud and have really crazy hand gestures while I talk. My fiance writes songs and I take pictures. What else? We're just a crazy young couple in love, trying to make a fabulous wedding!
Mr. Caramel and I contemplated buying the digital proofs of our wedding pictures, and I’m so glad we decided to buy them! If you’re in the same boat and wondering if you should ever purchase the digital proofs, I really suggest you do it. You can store the digital files and wait to print them later on. It turns out that there are so many more pictures that we had never seen and I liked some of them just as much as the ones our photographer had picked for our website.
I started to google ways to photoshop the digital images and I was able to find a few helpful websites to get that vintage look that’s really popular now. It’s really easy to follow the steps and you can get beautiful effects! I think I prefer that darker vintage look, just to contrast the prints I already have from my photographer.
Does anyone else have any easy-to-follow websites for photoshopping digital proofs?

About Me: I think of life as a journey and I love the places it's taking me! I went to school to study Magazine Journalism, ended up with a second major in Japanese language, and now work at a company that makes software for libraries. I love writing, computers, photography, and the great outdoors. I spend most of my time playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band or geeking out online with Mr. Cherry Pie. I'm happiest when I'm on the road, especially traveling abroad, or just nesting quietly at home with my sweetie, who is a fabulous cook and bakes a delicious rendition of a certain cherry-filled dessert!
A few of our guests have complained that our wedding is too remote. Well, I guess I can sort of agree with that. The photo above lends some perspective to just where Polebridge is located… and that remote beauty is one of the big reasons we wanted to get married there!

About Me: Likes: blogging, wikis, semi-colons, cuddling, fragrant flowers, syntax, and spooning. Dislikes: typos, dangling modifiers, flypaper, citronella candles, and run-ons. If I had my druthers, I'd exchange simple vows in a candlelit library. But I lost my druthers long ago...anyone seen them?
I know, I know. The primary goal of a haunted honeymoon is to hunt ghosts. But we are positively overcome with how…green everything is here in Ireland. I wanted to share just a few images of the gazillions I’ve collected so far (seriously - thank god for Flickr Pro)…
Cabra Castle, where we spent last night. It’s reputedly haunted by the ghost of a young servant woman (who was killed for having an affair with the son of a wealthy estate owner).

Mr. Pineapple is out of town for a couple days giving me chance to catch up on all of the wedding shows I have recorded. Most of them are pretty ridiculous. Even the fairly tame “Whose Wedding is it Anyway?” is out there compared to what we are planning. Well, for me, tonight wedding programming went to a whole new level of outrageousness. Ladies I present, “Surprise Wedding 2.” I don’t know what I was expecting from Fox Reality, but it wasn’t this.
