I use a combination of folders on my hard drive, and flickr.
I have a gajillion photos on my computer, all of which are backed up to CDs as well as to an online backup system. I probably should buy an external hard drive at some point!
I would LOVE these flash drives – they would be totally awesome to carry around as a teeny tiny digital photo album and jukebox!
My husband and I share an external hard drive that is devoted to just photos and videos. All of my photos are stored under folders named for the event or subject of the photos.
I keep all of my wedding plans organized on my hard drive with folders (programs, guestlist, invitations, wedding party, etc). This would be great so I can work on stuff wherever I go!
I have an external hard drive for the 3000+ pictures I’ve taken in the last 1.5 years, and would love these little doo-hickies to supplement my storage.
We use an external harddrive and upload to smugmug.com using folders based on year/month.
I depend on iPhoto! I am too lazy to print out photos anymore so now I just organize via folders in the program (*crossing fingers that nothing bad will ever happen to my Mac!*)
iphoto! But I should get a backup drive. It would be horrible to lose all those photos….
I use an external harddrive for all my photos. I also use Flickr to keep an online backup. I love to use flash drives to take stuff from work to home to school…
Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love one of these to store all my wedding things and be able to carry those documents around with me!
Used to keep it on an external hard drive until it crashed a year ago…
So now I just keep them in folders on my hard drive and also upload onto several flickr accounts.
I love iphoto. We have a bazillion pictures and need to get an external hard drive though
I use my hard drive (and periodically my flash drive) and organize my folders chronologically and/or by trip. I back up with CD’s (not enough though!).
I used folders in my hard drive. I would love to win this as I would love to carry my electronic copies of my current DIY projects with me, such as STDs, invitations, signs, etc. Please pick me!
Organized? I don’t know what that word means…lol. They are all over the place!
Whoa!! More Sandisks!!!!!!!!! I keep my images organized by putting them into folders on my desktop that have detailed folder names. Also, I email myself all kinds of pictures (and give them detailed names also) and then I can search my gmail and find the picture I am looking for quickly whenever I want to find a picture for myself or to show somebody some wedding details!!
I guess it *might* be easier to get a Sandisk and just put my folders of pictures on there instead of emailing them to myself all the time!
I have an organizational system only I could understand of folders, not just by date, but by theme and color and ideas…I don’t know why! I have them saved on my hard drive, copies on disc in my firebox and a few online on my flickr. whew!
I’ve got an ancient external hard drive and would LOVE one of the compact, cute flash drives!!!
I use every google product available - Google notebook, docs, picasa and gmail!
I use my hard drive but I try to keep it organized also on kodak gallery
I keep it in a folder on my desktop, but my C Drive is now too full. I just keep it on my camera until I can figure out a better alternative. I have so many photos that my computer is super slow now.
I LOVE Google’s Picasa photo program. I put all my pictures in files on my computer and Picasa knows where they are and lets me do some editing and upload them to a web album when I’m done. I would love to be able to give out the flash drives to my helpful ladies!
i find flickr the best source to keep and share my photos (though of course i backup on my desktop in folders by date and event name). it’s best to keep on top of it by dling from your camera after each big event, labeling and you’re done. no need to worry about organizing a gig of photos at a single time
I have all of my stuff organized into folders on my flash drive. Its nice that i can take them where ever I go. I never know when I need to check something.
I’ve been using a work-supplied thumb drive for all things wedding. I felt bad at first, but the girl in IT that gave it to me is also getting married and admitted she did the same thing. ![]()
Ugh, we have no system. For the most part I just save them onto my wedding folder on my laptop…
I keep them all on my hard drive. I share them through webshots but I almost never update it anymore
ugh..not very organized at all! I have all my photos uploaded on snapfish, shutterfly & kodakgallery–plus I have about 1/2 of them saved onto my harddrive. I also keep my favorites on the memory card and just continue to buy more cards when I need space. The photos that have been printed out I keep in folders & small containers that I keep inside large wooden boxes that I stack and use as lamptables.
my fiance has a computer, but I don’t so all of our pics are on his iphoto right now, this would be super helpful with clearing up some space on his hard drive!
I’m still in the planning process so I have folders on my hard drive…as that starts to fill up I’m sure my finace will have to reorganize everything for me…we will probably purchase an external hard drive (we’ve seen small, inexpensive ones at Costco)
I use iPhoto and Kodak photogallery. Keep ‘em organized by date. ![]()
I could really use one of these! My organization is at a stand still at the moment. I had an external hard drive with everything on it until it crashed last month and I got everything. I’m in the midst of trying to regather everything and at the moment I’m keeping everything in folders on my hard drive.
Far too many folders on my computer. These would be fabulous as a backup.
We keep it on our hard drive and make backups onto CD and DVD. Never too many backups. The flash drives would be awsome!
Google’s Picasa stores my photos, and PhotoWorks is the site I use to turn them into photo albums ![]()
I use folders on my computer and then use my fiancee’s external harddrive to backup (but not as much as I should)!
As many copies as possible! My pc, his pc, external hard drive, triplicate burned cds, flickr, flash drives… over the top, but so worth it when the pc dies.
I download all my pictures to iPhoto and organize them into rolls. That way, I can easily create photo books, make picture galleries for iWeb, and whatever else I want!
I label folders on my hard drive with month and year and add subfolders with the event name. I also backup photos by putting them on Picasa. ![]()
most are on my hard drive, some are uploaded to flickr. i should go back them up right now…
My boyfriend and I have known each other since we were about 11 years old and have had a long distance relationship since the age of 16. Throughout the years we have collected lots of pictures and small clips of each other which helps by always have a flash drive. This is for easy storing using any computer and for safety (have duplicates of memorable moments). We are planning to incorporate our pictures in a slideshow at our reception.
It’s a toss up: most of my pics are on a flash drive or CD, some still haven’t made it out of my camera, and some are in a photo website. I need to get organized!
Everything is in folders by date and subject and then transfered onto an awesome external hard drive. It took forever to get everything organized, but definitely worth the time to be able to find what I need and not worry about losing all my photos.
strictly on my laptop, in folders amongst folders, separated by friends, family, birthdays, all with their own sub categories. That reminds me, i need to back up!
I keep my photos organized by date and event… and they are adding up to chaos!
Again, I would love to win! Thanks for the second chance!
currently i am using my old laptop as storage and a new one for use. this needs to change.
I use my hard disk (though this can be complicated with two different computers). The lifesaver is programs like photobucket or picasa or shutterfly. My favorite is shutterfly. I used to make all these cool albums on sony imagestation before it shut down.
We use flash drives, our hard drives on my Mac and his PC, and two external hard drives to keep everything organized and backed up. We also use Picasa, but that’s more for sharing than for storage.
I must admit though, he’s much more anal about this sort of stuff than I am… surprising, because I’m normally the OCD queen.
These little flash drives would be the awesomest attendant gifts ever. Thanks weddingbee!
we have an external hard drive as well. We also make a cd of photos of ever year, just in case.
a folder in my computer with sub folders with different events and dates… also backs it up with online photo posting ![]()
Various folders on the hard drive, plus photobucket, and snapfish.
This would be awesome!
External hard drive, flash drives, and good ol’ burning to CD. The other day I was looking for some old files, and I had to look for a floppy disk drive, which was a challenge!
I am not organized at all. I leave this up to my fiancee.
by the date i download them onto my computer…..i’m not too organized…….
I keep my on my FI’s hard drive. He backs it up every now and then too so we don’t lose them! I also like to load my up on Kodak gallery so I can share them and also have some of the printed through them.
I am thinking about getting an external hardrive but for now I keep them on my laptop and sort them by date and topic.
ex. all the pictures for the shore have a date and a tag “LBI” (this is short for Long Beach Island) and then another tag for clamming, lighthouse visits, etc. All my wedding planning picts are marked Wedding Planning and tagged with the source if I have it and are dated but not sorted by date.
I use this adorable hard drive that resembles a flask. It’s not quite as portable as I would like though, it would be nice to be able to store recent picture on my keychain with one of these!
Organized… that is not part of my vocabulary. *click, click, click* I arrive at dictionary.com - Organized having a formal organization or structure, esp. to coordinate or carry out for widespread activities. I don’t have any of that! Help. Please let me have one of these drives to help insert some organization into my life. I’m drowning in Wedding planning ideas!
Just on my computer in different files - not very organized files at that!
I am using a usb drive but its getting full so I would love a new one!
i keep all my pictures on snapfish & organized on my hard drive. i have a terrible paranoia that one day snapfish will go out of business & my computer will break & i’ll lose everything. fingers crossed it’ll never happen! the scandisk would be an awesome additional back up!
Unfortunately, things aren’t very organized, but they at least everything is on my computer!
I’m a professional organizer, so you can imagine how anal-retentive I am about files. Our pictures folder in divided first by year (2006, 2007, etc.) and then by Month and then by topic (IU Homecoming, Summer Vacation). This drives would be just one more way to keep everything uber-organized!
Lots and lots of folders on my laptop. The only backup I have right now is ofoto…..
On my hard drive… in a million of folders - organized by year, month and day…!
Hmm…. well we really don’t have them organized at the moment.
This would definitely come in handy for myself and my bridesmaids.
Our laptop was recently crashing so we backed up all of our pics and documents on cds - 16 of them (which FH didn’t label well). Our desktop doesn’t have enough memory to store them with all of my itunes songs on it. While the laptop is repaired, I am sorting through stacks of CDs to find pics for the wedding. Oh my!
Way too many folders on the desktop… then printed and into scrapbooks!
my computer is filled with folders full of photos! i burn them on a disk for back-up.
I have awful luck with computers (I’ve had 3 computers over my 3 years of law school and each has had to have at least one hard drive replaced) so I do lots of things. Everything is on CD or an external hard drive. I also have pictures on Picasa and documents on my flash drive. The last time my laptop died I lost all of the wedding related folders in my favorites file so I have started saving that to my flash drive too!
We keep all our pictures in folders on our harddrives and about every 3 or 4 months we back them up on a flash drive that we keep in our safe.
I don’t really have any type of organization when it comes to this. Sometimes I’ll upload pictures to photobucket but other than that my pictures tend to stay on my camera. THEN I have to go back and erase pictures when I want to take new ones because my memory card is always full. It’s a vicious cycle…which is why I SO need one of these. And I’d love to be able to give them to my bridesmaids too! ![]()
I use my digital memories organized by using a personal program called “Fiance”.
seriously, he’s the most organized guy/person i know and he has all my digital photos/videos in folders labeled with dates, titles etc.
he even has our “for our eyes only” pictures well stored - to the point that even i can’t find it.
Too bad i lost all the pictures of the first 2 years of our relationship when my labtop sizzled out.

Using my Mac. Its so easy. Folder, color coded and all. Then I have Itunes for my music, iphoto for my pictures and Imovie for my home movies…and I look at all of them on my ipod touch.
I use several different SD cards to keep my photos organized. I also keep albums on photobucket, facebook, and myspace!
I use iphoto…with a back up on a separate hard drive…and on my husband’s computer…and DVD copies (one with us, one with my parents, one with my in-laws)! I’ve had so many hard drive crashes that I don’t like taking risks!

oh and ya, quartly dvd backups of course. I dont have an external drive yet.
All my digital memories are on my computer, so here’s hoping it won’t crash, haha!
I have an enternal hard drive with most of our pictures loaded in a fire proof safe. Can’t be too careful! I use tons of reavel drives to back up all my folders from my computer. All colour coded and named.
I keep them on my ancient laptop and back them up on cd so I don’t lose them the day my laptop finally decides to die.
If I want to do something fun like a slideshow, I throw pictures into iPhoto.
Every picture that I take gets uploaded to my flickr pro account, though. I’ve had my hard drive wiped too many times to only keep them there! Plus it’s nice to be able to access photos/storage from anywhere in the world!
Backed up thrice! Keep them on the computer, on my external hard drive and for just in case times, they are uploaded onto my kodak gallery.
Lately, I’ve been using flickr to keep my pics organized.
When I got a new lap top this year I kept my desk top for the sole purpose of pictures. It’s hard drive is one big album. Also most of them are on either facebook or myspace (I know, how juvenile) and also FI’s computer or flash drive so we won’t lose them.
Looks like I need to start thinking on how to organize! =)
Grr. It cut off my post.
I have waaaay too many photos and have to back up like crazy. I need something to carry around and share with others.
Currently, I only have an external huge HD.
I keep digital photos organized chronologically and use iPhoto to help with that.

I have a 500GB external hard drive that I use to store most of my hundreds of gigs of photos. I also burn them to DVD so I have a backup. I have about 8GB of flash memory for my DSLR camera that I use too… and a 60GB iPod that’s good for storage sometimes.
i organize everything and back up my files, iphoto, ical, etc. on my external hard drive. i’m running out of room…
i am in love with iPhoto. it’s so much better than the random folders i used to keep my digital pictures in. i also use an external hard drive and flash drive for storing and sharing images. flash drives would make such a chic wedding party gift! you could even pre-load them with images and music… i love this idea!
My fiance’s a photographer, so we double back-up everything with an external hard-drive and on CD.
All my family live out of state and since my parents aren’t too internet savvy, so whenever I go visit, I usually either lug my external HD or burn it onto CD which takes too much time!
I love the fact that I can carry around a small “device” to share upload pictures on to my comp.
I really need this- My canon software crashes all the time since I have over 5000 pics saved on my computer =(
my FH and I share a database that is specifically for our photos. We use to have his and hers folders but that is slowly becoming “OUR” folder.
We also maintain a flickr account for our friends and families to enjoy our photos!
i own a mac and it seems like the only choice i get is to store all my photos in iphoto.
I keep everything stored on my laptop, but I need to start backing them up on an external hard drive, too.
i use iphoto for the pictures that manage to get downloaded from the camera (to be honest, there are still some that live solely on the camera memory card that were taken over 6 months ago). but i think getting an external hard drive and maybe a flickr account are now on my to-do list.
I just store it on my laptop, but I really need an external hard drive :X
we share an external harddrive between our laptops, but he’s also setting up a website on his office’s server (we have permission) where everyone involved can upload their stuff.
i don’t have an organization system– maybe that’s why i can never find anything?! heehee!
Pretty simple method, I just have a folder labeled pics then within it is multiple folders and each pic is organized into the correct folder (i.e. family, pets, etc). I back everything up on my flashdrive (which is currently full!)
I *don’t* organize my photos very well. Though, everything is backed up on a CD. That’s why I need this!
I have a drive just for wedding pictures. Of course, it’s full of subfolders that go on forever and ever and ever….
Well - my hard drive crashed mid invitation/wedding website/all of life planning and it forced me to be a better person….
So I triple back up everything that I do for the wedding and my pile of flash drives is unreal - and not nearly as cute as these!
I don’t, which is why I need to win one of these. Or, I guess I could stop being cheap and go buy one on my own. Maybe after Friday.
everything is scarily on my hard drive. i upload some stuff to my website, but it’s not even in the original size, so reprints are out of the question!
i try to make folders by events or by people.
My photos are organized in iPhoto. My wedding “inspiration” images are stored on a tiny 512mb flash drive - I love being able to plug in and view them from anywhere. These larger flash drives would be SO nice!!
I wouldn’t call this organized…but thumb drive, snapfish, and hardrive folders
I keep everything on hard drive, and on shutterfly just in case.
Me! I’d love to give one to my MIL so she won’t lose all her pictures again.
But I use flickr.com and ofoto.com (since 1999!) and create photo books at least 3-5 times a year. I use it to create photobooks of the year overall and I use it to create photobooks of certain trips or events. Currently, my favorite is between mpix.com and mypublisher.com but I love how qoop.com works with flickr.
But I organize my pictures on my computer by year and then, by month.
I have a disorganized combination of external hard drive and CDs going on right now… ![]()
External hard drive, detailed folder and picture names with dates and scrapbooks!
I just have different folders on my hard drive and I also put all my photos on shutterfly…trying to get the motivation to make scrapbooks as well!

I keep everything on folders on my computer … and just pray my computer never dies!
Organized in folders with a text document containing information for the folder’s contents in vague Dublin Core metadata standard. Yeah, I’m a library science grad student.
would use to back-up important images (i.e. those from wedding) and files. they could help me with organizing as well! ![]()
I store all my pictures in a file on my computer and pray that nothing happens to them!
I Try to organize them by date and event description on my computer and shutterfly.
I try to keep everything digital organized, but there’s so much! I store my photos on my computer and Kodak Gallery. All my school documents are stored on my computer. I splurged for security last year and purchased an external hard drive, but I’m still to scared to delete everything off of my computer!
Err…for the moment, everything is stored either on my harddrive at home, or my harddrive at work. Scary things could happen if either one of those computers die!!
i just use my computer. but i had an old ipod nano that i don’t use anymore, and i store all of our wedding pictures on it - my husband calls it our “nano wedding” ![]()
I keep my digital images organized by creating different folders on my computer to put all of my images in. I also use Flickr.
Laptop, shutterfly, CD, flash drive, and Facebook/Myspace. I am super paranoid!
folders folder folders on my computer, external hard-drive (the big stuff), and flash drives ![]()
we use an external hard drive devoted enriely to storing photos.
We use picassa and our hard drives - it would be nice to have such a sweet mini drive!
We use an external hard drive and dump everything to that in folders organized by date.

Just folders on my computer and occasionally uploading them to Picasa.
I burn all my pictures on cd’s and keep them in cd folders. I also use Kodakgallery.com because its a great way to share with family friends.
i have them all in my external hard drive, which is so big and heavy, and not so practical. this little one will help a LOT. ![]()
Folders and my own handy dandy flash drive. What a CYOOOTE idea for the parents!
I live in fear of losing all my digital data, so they are on my personal laptop, my work laptop, CD, and external hard drive.
I’ve got plenty of folders on my computer, on my backup discs, AND an additional backup from a photo storage account online!
I simply organize them in folders on my computer- not terribly creative!! Though, I also have a lot of albums on Snapfish.
Gosh, I’m not all that organized. I just have a ton of labelled folders in the “My Pictures” folder on my computer. It’s simple, but it works for the most part.
I have folders labeled by date and/or event on my hard drive and a couple of photobucket accounts - each for different types of pictures (work, personal, etc.)
I keep all mine in folders on my computer and I also put photos on my smugmug site.
I have an external hard drive that goes back and forth between the office and the house to back up files in both places…
Wait, what do you mean I didn’t win the first time around?! Oh man!
I’m already keeping all my crazy spreadsheets on a flashdrive, but it’d be nice to have more in case I run out of space!
Folders on the computer, google documents, and photobucket (for pictures).
I would love this gift!
Currently, my digital images are on CDs that are in the safety deposit box. But if I had this flash drive, I would take my images to friends/family’s houses, so we could share the memories together! They are super-stylish, too.
hard drive, external hard drive, and the photos I absolutely love I keep on my digital camera SD card… So I can look at them throughout the day
hehe.
They aren’t really organized! Q_Q It’s all a jumble of confusingly named folder!
hard drive, external hard drive and myotherdrive.com
Oh and sometimes flickr!
I keep them all on the computer, but backl them up with snapfish.com too.
I keep all photos on snapfish and back them up on discs…while I’m at work…shame on me!
hard drive folder and some on photobucket, others on kodakgallery.
It’s not the best way but I keep mine all on my computer…I need one of these. LOL
I store my photos on flickr as well as an external hd.
I’ve also got quite a few burned onto CDs… not that i have those organized in any way!
I don’t currently have a system. I suppose I should work on that!
I’m a slacker when it comes to pictures. Most of them are still scattered in various memory-cards (isn’t that the purpose of buying them?). I regularly update my picasa album though!!
a whole system of folders on my hard drive–and I’ve been thinking about switching over to an external drive just for my photos!–also flickr and burned CDs as backup
All of my digital photos are on a jump drive since I travel so much and there are always friends that want to see pics. I can be super organized with folders inside folders for events. Then of course I love snapfish for sharing ![]()
I use regular old files and folders on my desktop to keep my photos organized. Maybe it’s time to get more organized, now that I have read so many clever ways!
folders with subfolders and sub-subfolders by topic
…also, i like to get them printed out and organized the old-fashioned way!
With my picture crazy friends they would simply NEED these. . . I would just be the best bride to oblige their crazy obsession !!!
I have folders on my PC labeled by type of pictures (Trips, parties etc) and then subfoldered by event+date. I back things up onto CD/DVD every 1/2 year.
i use flickr! i keep everything organized into separate portfolios and tagged with important info. i love how all of my friends and family can take a peek at it, too. i also love how i can click and order all sorts of products - prints, magnets, etc.
iPhoto on my mac laptop- organized by events… also an external hard drive as back-up.
After my PC crashed last year and I lost literally thousands of pics (as well as oh so many documents) I decided to set up a flckr account. I’m thinking about investing in a pro account since you have so much flexibility with that.
I buy tons of compact flash cards when they go on sale. After each card is full, I upload them all to my WORK computer- I know, I’m so bad!
I try to keep all my photos organized on the computer in different files, but it is still hard for me to find what I am looking for some times.
Mine are organized by subject (I guess you’d call it!!) on my computer. Considering my last computer died with all of my photos on it - I could really use one of these for myself!!!!
I guess I am not organized at all. They all go under My Pictures in My Documents.
We keep everything on both of our laptops and thats it…these would be awesome!!
I have an external harddrive, but it gets cumbersome when trying to share info with vendors. These would be perfect to conveniently share my “digital” wedding planning notebook! ![]()
I can’t believe there are 200+ comments already.
My files are organized on a laptop by date and event and backed up on CD. Soon they will also be loaded on an external drive because some CD’s do not age well.
Photos that I need at my fingertips gets loaded into google and documents live on my old-undersized flash drive
i use my computer & iphone to store my photos… but i have to email my stuff back & forth all the time which is so unglamourous. i would love to save my bridesmaids from the pain of emailing millions of inspiration pics by sending them all a zip!
i keep them organized on my hard drive (and a back up on an external drive), sorted by year and event
I keep my photos stored in iphoto, but also backed up on another computer in case one of them ever decides to die - they’re all sorted by year and season.
I rely on google picasa and backup CDs to keep my photos in order
most of my pictures are uploaded to picasa. but then some of the more special ones are printed and put in my photo album.
I keep my wedding photos in lots of files on the computer - all breaking down the different parts of the wedding and reception.
I keep ‘em all in my hard drive but separate them by folders & sub-folders.
I keep all my photos in files on my computer. Or I did until I had a major hard drive crash that fried not only my main HD but also the external one I use to backup all my info
It was caused by a huge power surge during a storm. So now Ive no pictures of my FHs and my first years together, no pictures of our time in Scotland and no pictures of me with my grandma - who is still with us but not for long (cancer is a bitch
)
So these flash drives would be perfect for me, something not attached to the PC to back up all my most important memories…
i have them all saved on my hard drive (i should really back them up on a cd sometime)…they’re saved in folders by year, and subfolders by month.
I actually have them all organized by event on my hard drive, which I back up every so often on an external hard drive. Honestly, my favorite part of this organization is that when my screen saver comes on displaying all of them, I can take a small trip down memory lane but at random!
I also used to love photos.yahoo.com, but the service is now gone and moved to flicker:-(
Haha, I don’t…. there’s kind of a mishmash.
I have a photobucket account, and photos on Facebook & Xanga..
I have them stored on a flash drive and two cds that were pulled from the wreckage that was my laptop..
I have them on my FI’s old computer which he is letting me use, sorted only by the dates that I uploaded them from the camera.
Oh, and there are some sitting on Sam’s Club picture development site that I need to get a member number for to retrieve. Heh.
I am SO disorganized.
hard drives, and cds - though now my crappy computer won’t let me run any discs! waah!
i rely on copying pictures from friends because i don’t have a camera! so i keep all the pictures on cds, the computer, and the internet ![]()
I use folders on my hard drive, and back-up (when I remember!) on an external drive.
I use Picasa…it helps me organize both the pictures on my harddrive as well as online web albums
I have two different ways of organizing my photos– I upload wedding ideas I find online to Flickr (which is also helpful for making inspiration boards on Mosaic Maker) and I use Kodak Gallery to upload regular pictures I take because sending pictures is easiest with that service compared to others I have tried. For the wedding, I plan to upgrade to FlickrPro and ask my guests to upload their pictures there (an idea I got from the wonderful Mrs. Lemon!).
. . . folders within folders within folders on my computer; sweet hubby does reguarly downloads to disc for me.
i’ve been using an external drive to backup and store my photos. Please pick me as I’d love to have more storage. ![]()
Organized?? I should probably look into that, huh?
Some photos are in about 5 different places on my laptop and some are on burned discs, that are labeled except to say “Pics” or “Photos.”
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP!!
I use a backup hard drive and Picasa on the web, and if I can think of anywhere else to back my stuff up I will, having sent Mrs. Angiepangie’s current laptop back for service three times in under a year.
I have my photos is a bazillion places– the web, my computer, on CDs and some are still in my camera! yikes.. how is that for DIS-organization? Maybe this little gadget could help me? ![]()
I back my computer up like nobody’s bizniz, plus I have a handy photobucket account. Yippee!
I use iphoto. I have been meaning to load them onto an external hard drive… blame it on wedding planning.
I keep all of mine organized on my hard drive in different folders. On the front of each folder, it shows 4 different images so that I can see what is in that particular folder. I had to buy more memory for my computer a couple of months ago. I have so many wedding idea pix and wedding cake/cupcake pix too. Jump drives would be great to have. I only have 1 now but it’s nothing like these…Pretty!
Organization still needs some help….but iphoto at least organizes my photos by events. every little bit helps!
If you want to call what I got going organization- an external hard drive with random files and folders.
The minute I upload my pictures, I make sure to categorize them immediately.. or else it becomes a disaster! I just keep them on my computer, but I definitely should find a way to back them up!
i keep them organized in folders, as well as flickr as a back-up.
Photos on hard drive, transported there by memory cards.
The photos are organized using Picasa (from Google) and stored on external disc. The ones we want to share are copied onto our Google web album.
i also keep my pictures in folders on my hard drive. I recently started using picasa too. i should get an external hard drive as backup!
I have TONS and TONS of photos. Lots of my little girl, so I would be devastated if I lost them. I back them up on cds, my 500gb hard drive, on Flickr, AND on Picasa. =P
my other jump drive almost full so these would be a great addition!
I keep them on my laptop in various folders and on photobucket…but it’s not nearly enough space….would LOVE those!!!
On my hard drive, neatly divided into folders by category. I need to get better about backing them up though!
i’ve been through the traumatic experience of losing over 3 years worth of pictures and video projects hen my computer crashed. SO now i make cds of everything as often as I can and use sites like flickr and walmart to upload to as a backup of a backup ![]()
uploaded to iphoto… but would love to have some of these!
I use the folder system and google calendar/documents.
My lovely FI just bought me a new Mac as an early graduation gift so I’ve been trying to get all my pictures on here and get them all organized in iPhoto…so far so good!
i usually save my pictures on my computer, cds and drafts in my email.
i would love these and give them to my mom and rest of my family so they can have it and keep some of my wedding pictures on there too!
i organize them in my computer into folders, but i also print important photos and store them in a safe
Mine are all in various, very specific folders on my hard drive, with a few of my favorites on a flash drive.
I save them all on an external hard drive. And when I get a chance to print them (ha!) then I have them placed on a disk.
I use picasa and Microsoft Vista on my laptop automatically sorts all my photos into folders by date. But these flash drives would be incredibly perfect for my geeky and techy bridesmaids!!!!!!!! plus.. they’re so cute!
Computer, flash drive that I take everywhere & backed up on cds stored in a fire proof box. My pictures are my life!
we keep all our photos and music on an external hard drive. but i could use some fancy flash drives!
iphoto on my mac is pretty well organized already, so I’m sure all the non-pro photos will end up in there. The pro will be saved in a special folder on each of our laptops!
I digitally scrapbook a lot of my memories - all of my photos are organized in folders Year/Month/Date (event) and backed up to CD at the end of the month. My fiance gets angry when he has to dig through 5 folders to find the one picture he wants, but I always know exactly where to go!
I use an online photo album. I also have a blog where a post my favorite pictures and stories…and I print out pictures and stick them in albums!! I love pictures!!
I have a digital picture frame on my desk at work too so I can view them throughout the day!
Hard drive with meticulous folders by date and location, backed up on Flickr. A flash drive would be pretty nifty though!
It’s a combination of files on my computer and my iPod.
countless folders on the computer broken down by time of year and activity
Right now I have all of my pictures organized into folders on my computer. I know I need to back them up somehow but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet!
My husband and I have 3 computers between the two of us so our pictures are unfortunately all over the place! I never thought of giving family members our pictures on flash drives before . . . good idea!
oh yes, i’m in need of some more flash drives. it’d be great to keep some wedding pics on it so I don’t have to lug around my album.
I like to save them on an external hard drive, but then print them out and save them in an album. There is nothing like holding a photo in your hand!
I put everything in folders on my computer, and back it up periodically.
For me, it’s all about clearly labeled folders on my hard drive ![]()
i download fav photos to my laptop (organized by topic…cakes, flowers, invites, dresses, etc.) and upload some pics to picasa. stuff that we are sharing with our wedding guests is posted on our website using the cool embedded player with picasa.
We have a ton of folders on our various computers, and two months ago I bought an external hard drive. All my photos are now backed up; FI is not doing so good with his. I have put the kids on notice that they need to backup their photos to their laptops. The desktop computer is getting really old, and the next time it dies it goes to the landfill instead of to the Geek Squad!
We have a Drobo file system because we have so many pictures.
I’m not very good at organizing my photos. I have htem all over my old computer so i would love one of these drives to store my photos in one place!!
I organize them by the date in folders and then burn them onto CDs by year!
Right now I just have folders labelled “bouquets” and “cakes” etc. in the photo section of my harddrive—- but that seems like a poor plan. I need a new thumbdrive to get organized!
I have an external hardrive for all my pictures… which are backed-up onto another hardrive… what I need is an usb to transfer all my wedding inspirations from my work computer to my home computer.
I am a mess. I have pictures everywhere. As a matter of fact, that is my goal for my life in general this year: to become more organized. ![]()
We (my FI and I) keep all of our memories storied on his computer harddrive and cd’s as backup. If we were to win one of the five flashdrives, it would become backup method #2 for storing our photo memories.
I’m completely a mess with real photos, but for digital, my computer organises it all for me.
I need to back up my computer’s photos because it keeps overheating!
I use a USB drive but its getting full so this one would be perfect!
I use a bunch of folder on our computer desktop and a hard drive. These flash drives are SO cute. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
i just have folders on my hard drive…i should get an external one to back them up!
cooooome on! momma needs a new set of flash drives!!
I have so many crazy folders on my hard drive that store my pictures. Occasionally I copy one or two of them onto a cd, which I then put in a random drawer in my desk. I have had my hard drive crash once, but I still didn’t learn my lesson.
Everything is saved on my hard drive, backed up on memory sticks, saved on cds, and backed up on my external hard drive! What can I say, I want to keep this info!
I have all my photos saved in folders on my harddrive by event, as well as on a backup drive. This way my photos are right were I need them ~ even if my computer breaks.
kodakgallery, in an ibook external hard drive thing. on my computers hard drive, on my work’s hard drive… just in case something ever happens to one of them i have it somewhere!! haha
I save them in several folders on my computer desktop. I have been thinking of getting a flash drive, and these are so fashionable!! Perfect for bridesmaids gifts and one extra for me! Thanks so much for the chance to win them!
Up until now, I have organized all of my pictures both into folders on my computer as well as uploaded them to Snapfish. I would love to win these flashdrives and start keeping them on there!! Thank you!!!
Right now I keep all of my pictures organized into specific folders on my computer.
I know I need to change that and create a backup…soon.
I love Picasa and I also use different folders to keep things organized.
I have zillions of pictures just sitting in folders on my computer. I haven’t gotten around to it, but I have a cd to back them up. Somewhere….
once again, loving my iphoto on me mac (is it weird i call it me mac? maybe i’m secretly irish?) and the hard drive my mum (also weird) bought me in my hard drive crashed last Feb.
I use iPhoto and store my digital images on my hard drive. I back up my files to my LaCie external HD. I would **love love love** to have these super cute Cruzer Gator flash drives to give to my family. I’m sure they would be over the moon. Thanks!!
I just leave them on my computer and it gets pretty messy. I have too many random folders with random titles, and I’m completely disogranized! Drives me nuts!!
Picasa! It’s the best photo storage system — you can organize by date, subject, and even better, TAGS! And it has entry-level photo editing capabilities as well (red-eye reduction, cropping, etc), so you can quickly and easily make some quick edits if you need to. Even better, it’s by Google and it’s free!
i’m meticulous about tagging and attaching metadata to my photos on iphoto, and then i upload everything to flickr.
I have, oh, about 12,000 photos on my laptop… Yikes! To stay organized, I file them by date - one folder per month. I’ll sometimes add subfolders for holidays or other special events. At the end of the month, I burn a disk for backup, and store it in one of those CD binders.
iphoto! but i need to figure out a better way to organize..
on my hard drive, with my favorites backup online. I would love an adorable little flash drive like this though–it would make backing up and transporting files so much easier (and stylish)–I love it!
I use a folder on my hard drive as well as snapfish and photobucket
I have everything saved on my hard drive (and backed up on CDs), organized in folders labeled with date, place or event. My friends and I obsessively share photos with snapfish so a lot of my treasured pics are there too, in my friends’ albums
I have a folder on my hard drive, but I’m getting a new computer so I’ll have to find a new way to organize — these would be perfect! ![]()
I am a big fan of iphoto! I keep each set of photos in a grouping by event, and it allows me to quickly scroll throw all my memories. I also use my mac gallery on my dot mac acct to access my photos online ![]()
I use iPhoto and back-up my photos on my fiance’s computer.
I use an external harddrive and flickr. I would love these flash drives to give to members of my bridal party to keep their photos and music from the day!
I separate everything by folders on my gard drive, back them up on my flash drives and external hardrive. I also use Google Docs so I can access files from any computer. And absolute adore Flickr for photo storage. Would love to add another flash drive (espescially such a posh one!) to my collection ![]()
Our files are kept on DVD’s and organized in a case as well as being organized in folders on hard drives.
I have the future husband
He is really awesome, he takes all our photos (even the goofy ones I take) and uploads them to his PC and separates and sorts by day/month/year. He also uses Picassa (spelling?) to browse through them easier. I don’t know what I’d do without him! <3
I’m waiting for the day we have blue tooth laptops and digital cameras. No need for usb cords then. Hahah. Not too far from now I hope..
i use file folders on my hard drive, with the ones I would die to lose backed up on a flash drive.
I compile mine in folders on my hard drive and then upload them to Kodak Gallery to share with family, friends and to print ![]()
They’re saved on the Camera until I run out of space… then straight to a burned CD the go!
Thanks for the giveaway but the entrance rules confuse me. What is this organization you speak of?
j/k… my stuff is really NOT organized at all!
tons and tons of folders on our hard drives. i think we have 3 hard drives for each of our computers!!
Would come in handy to keep all my wedding files between my home and work computers ![]()
Mine are all in their own folders on my computer and uploaded to an internet site. My finance is after me to get an external hard drive so I can take them off the computer!
This is such a great idea for the bridal party! I’d love to be the lucky winner!
I use iphoto and back up on a hard drive all the time!! These are sooo cute!
Ha! it’s all clogging up my hard drive, sorted by date downloaded off the camera card.
Photos are organized by date, but I need a new system to merge fiance’s and my photos! I would love these beautiful flash drives!
Most are stored on my computer. Some are stored on the memory card on my camera (because I haven’t gotten around to removing them). I try to upload most of our pictures onto Shutterfly, just in case. And I have some DVDs… somewhere… with some of our digital pictures on them.
i need one of these so i don’t have to reply on my email “wedding” inbox and hard drive for all my files.
The week after our wedding, I return to school for 10 day residency (low res MFA programs mean you work from home but gather with your class 2 times a year for intensive seminars). I would love to use this flash drive to collect all our digital pics to show my friends and teachers at school what our wedding day was like!
we have an external hard drive organized by the date the picture was taken. its totally OCD, but i love it. haha.
For now I have them saved on several folders in the hard drive. i should def. have a backup!!
My method is really awesome. You have to try it.
I just pass it off to Mr. JCM.
Especially wedding stuff. Whee! I never know how he wants to organize “shared” stuff so I let him get it right the first time.
I just save stuff on my laptop, but I really should get a flash drive:)
i would totally back up all my wedding files for the future women in my family to reference from. these flashdrives are suuuper cute!!!
Love the flash drives — and they’d be great to help our English guests to take the memories home with them. Currently everything’s “organized” in a folder on my computer’s desktop. So, um, it’s not.
right now my each file is on my desktop. totally disorganized. i won’t lie…it’s a disaster.
These are so cute! I use an external hard drive with my laptop.
I’m embarassed to say that we are NOT organized at all. I mave pictures scattered between different computers and CDS ![]()
i store them organized and labeled by date and time on my hard drive. thus, i am desperately in need of the flash drive!
plus, i’m a student
I use Flickr and Picasa, but I need to back it up on an external hard drive — on my list of things to do!
i store them in files by date… a flash drive would be great for me & my girls!
I keep them all in folders in my hard drive. I know I should back them up, but I haven’t done it yet.
we have an external hard drive for ALL of our pictures….pick me!!!!
my hard drive (all in different folders) as well as my flash drive. and emails. lastly, i write down ideas on post-its and stick them in my journal.
digital is one of the main ways I share everything since my BMs are all over the country and my family (and the place of the wedding) is 6 states away. I keep my files stored on my hard drive in a special folder but try to back everything up on a cd every once in awhile to save it. these would be a savior!
i used to keep it on my computer’s HDD until it crashed and i can’t recover any of the files without paying 1000.00 and no guarantee. So I need to invest in a back up external HD.
I store all of my pics on my hard drive and then some on Photobucket or Flickr.com
I save them on my hard drive, with some saved to discs, photobucket, and photoshop express. I’ve lost more than a few in recent years, with a computer crash and a lost disc. I really need help with photo organization.
I have sooo many on iphoto now! These flash drives would save me the horror of losing them in the inevitable computer crashes! ![]()
I usually just dump all my photos on Flickr (after tagging and putting in sets through the Uploadr!), then organize once they’re up. If I need to print, I put them in a set and either send that one though Qoop or batch download it to send it all through Photopipe. (I live in the ATL near their lab, so it’s super fast when I go pick up my prints at the facility.)
My great-aunt just got a digital picture frame, and I’m in charge of it, so I collect photos from my family and put them on a disk or borrowed drive to load on her frame once a week, when I visit her nursing home. That’s how I keep both of our digital memories organized!
I keep them all my computer- I hope it never crashes…I need to start backing my files up!
I have pictures everywhere! On two computers, some backup CDs, on Kodak Gallery, on Photobucket, and many still left on memory cards. I take lots and lots of pictures.
Folders on my computer, backed up on an external hard-drive, as well as all being uploaded to Shutterfly.com
We use google docs to keep together all the information so our coordinator can also use them. And I throw all the wedding related photos on a private folder of picasa.
I actually use ofoto and an external hard drive… I have been wishing for a better way to store, and I would LOOOVE this for myself and bridesmaids!
Ultimately they will land on my external hard drive. Before then, they will hang out iPhoto until they are edited to just how I want it!! ![]()
I use a mac and just love iPhoto. I can organize my albums with the names of the events they are from (sometimes just the date). It keeps everything well organized for me so that all I have to do is remember which event I periodically back up my computer to an external hard drive.
Those flash drives are really cute looking. I’ve never seen such fancy ones before.
I organize all of my photos in folders on my computer but also use backup CDs as well as Picasa. I love those flash drives though. They are too cute!
I keep my digital photos organized in several ways. I have a lot stored on external hard drive. I have slowly started uploading them onto the costco.com website. but on my computer i keep them in folders organized by event
on my hard drive, but i definitely need something else. i’m so scared of losing my pics!
I keep all my pics in folders on my hard drive and on Kodak Gallery. I should probably back them all up on CDs…
iphoto, 2 thumb drives and a couple of full scan disks, baby!
I have a huge combination of about three or four external harddrives, flickr and I have pictures scattered on several computers as well!
Manage in iPhoto, export to Flickr, back up on external hard drive and PS3 (which is great for viewing pics on our big TV).
Unfortunately, it’s not organized and that’s why I need to win this! Thanks!! You’ll make my life so much easier ![]()
iphoto is indeed amazing, but when I import them, I am sure to rename the files to what is pictured. It takes a long time, but it helps solidify the memories to see them again, and also makes finding the photograph later that much easier.
I try to keep my digital photos in a number of places:
1) DVR
2) backup CDs
3) shutterfly
4) a shared network folder with my man!
i have an external drive with thousands of photos, that i am slowly printing digitally to scrapbook or album. as most of my fellow bees know, scrapbooking is a VERY expensive hobby, especially when everything is being printed digitally
These would be a great and easy way to get all of my pics to my wedding party!!
I have all of our photos organized by date on my computer’s hard drive. Each folder is titled in this format: “2008-5 (May)”. This format works best because then when I “organize the folders by name” they automatically go into the correct order based on year and month. Considering that my computer is nearly about to die, I could REALLY use some extra disk space to save some of our precious memories to… ![]()
I have them on my hard drive, but know that I shoud keep them on a flash drive in case my computer crashes…
I load them onto photobucket as well as save them all on my hard drive in various folders based on month/year.
Does not organizing anything at all count? I certainly hope so!
I use Flickr and I store all my pics on an external hard drive. I would love the Sandisk.
I am in much need for a flash drive. Currently I have all my wedding galore files stored on my laptop. I have 2 main folders, one for photos, and one for documents.
Folder One: Wedding Pictures- these are dividied in a ‘quadrillion’ different folders (bride hair, bride makeup, BM dress, Ceremony, Reception, etc.).
Folder Two: Wedding Documents- I have several lists (guest lists A & B along with several drafts), check lists (up the wa-zoo!) and folders for all my DIY draft and instructions.
I’m highly organized I feel, but I really need to back it all up.
