Yay, I can finally share our invitation suite with my beloved bee readers! I’ve been dying to share them with all of you, but I had to wait until our guests received them first.
I literally cried when Saima Khan, of Saima Says Designs, emailed me the proof of our invitations. The design was exactly what I wanted, but could never really articulate. With a beautifully intricate monogram, hand-drawn flowers, and a lush color palette, Saima was able to perfectly capture the tone, mood, and feel of our nuptials. And when the invitations finally arrived on my doorstop, I practically hyperventilated. Okay, I actually hyperventilated.
The invitation suite: I adore the fuschia vellum bellyband with letterpressed monogram.
Saima generously gave us permission to use the monogram elsewhere, so it will also show up in our programs, menus, and as the gobo for our dance floor! I think it will make a really lovely logo for the day.
The invitation: The metallic gold paper is so beautifully shimmery and the hand-drawn fuschia letterpressed flowers are gorgeous.

The Arabic at the top translates to “Bismillah ir-rahman ir-rahim” which means “In the name of God, the most gracious and merciful.” In Islam, the phrase is frequently invoked in moments of thankfulness and joy.
The mehndi card: The night before the wedding, my parents are hosting a mehndi for all of our guests. I love the fonts used on this card. It reads, “An evening of food, music, and mehndi to celebrate the union of families and close friends.” I love that sentiment.

We’ve gotten such a great response from our guests on the invitations and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out!
