Ellen Degeneres Getting Married!

As Miss Gingerbread shared with us, same-sex couples now have the right to get married in California. I know that Mrs. Blueberry already shared the rumor that Ellen DeGeneres was getting married, but I wanted to share, if you haven’t heard already, that Ellen formally announced her engagement to long time girlfriend, Portia de Rossi.
Hooray for them! She shares this with her audience and gets teary — it’s so sweet! I wish them a wonderful celebration and many many years of love, health and happiness.

Aww, they look so happy … so sweet!
Puts everything into perspective … we’re all so lucky to be able to marry the ones we love. I think to celebrate this, we should all declare today a ‘no stressing about insignificant wedding details day’!

woooooonderful news! I was a bridesmaid for my best friend last year as she married her now-wife. Their ceremony wasn’t legal at the time, but they didn’t care and went for it anyway. Now, they’re planning a civil ceremony for very soon…this is the way it should be for all everywhere. I’m so happy for my friend, for ellen and portia. So so happy…yay!
