From the beginning, I knew I wanted a special necklace to go with my dress. For months I’d looked at pieces at boutiques and bridal shows, but somehow everything seemed way too “blingy” for our afternoon garden wedding.
So, like any logical bride, I turned to the no fail place for jewelery - Etsy. With over 100,000 sellers, if you can’t find it there, it doesn’t exist.
My criteria was simple:
1) It had to be silver.
2) It had to have a splash of colour.
3) It had to have a kind of nature/botanical look to it.
I was hunting on everybody’s favourite craft site for maybe a day when I stumbled across Meg Leigh’s shop and was sold. Simple and beautifully designed pieces, they were exactly what I was looking for . . . which actually made it really hard for me to decide what to order. So many awesome choices!
Anyway, I ordered last week and Meg, a busy engaged lady herself, shipped to me right away so that the parcel arrived today and I don’t just like it . . . I love it! In fact, I love it so much, that my sense of spelling is impaired and I lurve it! It is just bold enough to make a statement, but just delicate enough to work with the softness of my lace dress. Gorgeous!
It was a long hard hunt for my necklace, however I think I struck gold . . . er . . . I mean silver with this find. Take a look!
