Bathroom Baskets

May 20th, 2008 @ 12:38 pm by Miss Sundae

I’ve had my eye on everything at The MacBeth Collection for quite awhile, but I could never justify actually making a purchase. All of their stuff is painfully cute, but I didn’t actually need a damask trash can. Then a few weeks ago I came across a 25% off coupon, which got my wheels spinning, and the very next day someone suggested using the oval tubs for bathroom baskets at the wedding…purchase justified! I ordered this exact tub for the women’s bathroom:

And this tray (in the same pattern as above) for the men’s:I figured the boys need less stuff, and this way once the wedding is over I won’t wind up with two tubs. All of the goods arrived yesterday and I am happy to report that they’re just as cute in person! The basket is a little smaller than I envisioned and the tray is actually a little bigger, so I might actually have to use the tray for the women and the basket for the men. I tried to take a few pictures so you could get a feel for the size:

Now my only concern is trying to control myself from using them before the wedding.

Are you planning on providing bathroom baskets? What are you going to use for the actual baskets? Be sure to check out the wiki article about what items can be included in bathroom baskets, with links to other bees’ posts about the topic!

I am planning on having bathroom baskets. I saw these before and was trying to figure out what I could use them for, so this is such a great idea.

Those are really really cute!! I say go ahead an use them before the wedding, I mean why not? As long as you don’t use them in a way in which they will be damaged, no harm done!

These are gorgeous! I am planning on having a full amenities bathroom for the ladies and the trays would be perfect for my customized guest towels! :) Thanks for the idea.

So cute! I’ve been dying to order something from them too. Do you think those trays could be used to keep the programs in before the ceremony? It’s hard to tell online.

Your baskets are adorable! Once again, I may have found something I just *have* to have on WB! Luckily my venue has bathroom baskets. You may want to check with yours before you buy anything to fill them:)

Hillary & Deb- The coupon code was from Daily Candy…you might be able to look it up in their archives? Sorry I don’t still have it!

Jasmine - I think it might depend on how big the programs are…the lip on the tray isn’t very big, but they do have bigger sizes of trays. If you want to test mine out you’re more than welcome!

GRR it ate my post!

Anyhow two tips for you ladies doing bathroom baskets.

1) Make sure your wedding coordinator or site coordinator doesnt put these out until the last possible moment. Unfortunatly because ours were out too early someone (not from our wedding) came and took everything out of them! So make sure to put these out last.

2) If you are looking for a cheap way to fill up your baskets vs. buying everything you will need here is a place I found. http://www.freesamplesblog.com/ puts up free samples everyday from various companies such as Advil, etc. It doesnt cost you anything and they dont spam you or misuse your info. If you have 6-8 weeks until your wedding its a great way to get this stuff (thats how long most of it takes to ship to you). I went on every day for like 2 weeks and in that time got free: advil, pamprin, tampons, pads, body spray, mouthwash, hairspray and other stuff I am forgetting.

Just wanted to share!

wow oh wow oh wow. Did you have to turn me on to this website! I want it all! But like you have no reason to justify the purchase. And how would I even narrow it down to pick just one pattern. Hmmm I want to find a pattern to use as my inspiration piece(es) for when I redo my bathroom. CUTE CUTE CUTE!

Darn you, Miss Sundae! I ordered two Treasure Trays to hold the programs for our wedding :) According to the measurements on the website, they should fit. And the guy I talked to on the phone was nice enough to throw in free shipping because it was for a wedding! Anyway, thanks so much for posting about these– it took me foooorever to choose a design!

I actually saw that coupon too, and ordered these to put my bridesmaid’s gifts in! Different patterns for each, but i plan to fill them with small gifts, and then wrap it all in cellophane - colorful and useful!
