About Mrs. Canary

Bippity Boppity Boo…

May 20th, 2008 @ 2:30 pm by Mrs. Canary

From now until July, Mr. Canary and I have more than our fair share of little errands and tasks to complete before the wedding. This past weekend was a super productive one!

We finally finished assembling, stamping, and sealing our invitations (which I will definitely post about later this week after most of our guests receive them!). With our massive guest list, we had finished one batch last week and finally got the rest done on Saturday. I think it took us a total of about 8 hours, which includes versioning out who gets which invitation and Gocco-ing our tea ceremony insert.

We also got to do a fun little project– spray painting our card holders. I had ordered two birdcages from Save on Crafts but wasn’t too pleased with the ivory rustic finishing, so I ordered a can of metallic gold spray paint from Joann’s and voila… the difference was extraordinary. It’s amazing what a little coat of paint can do. And now we have two beautiful card holders.

Ooh that is so pretty!!! I love anything gold :)

And yes, my weekends are always full of wedding stuff. Except this one! I’m looking forward to a weekend of doing absolutely nothing. I think it’s my last one left before the big day!

Save on Crafts is sold out of all their birdcages. If you are planning on selling them after your wedding, I would like to purchase the smaller of the two birdcages from you. My wedding is late August.
They look wonderful. Congrats on finishing another project.

lovely… we’re still got over four months to go, but we’ve noticed a huge uptick in the amount of weekends (and evenings and days) dedicated to planning. now that we’ve got all our vendors sorted and initial decoration mock-ups, it’s time to get busy on the projects!

thanks for such an inspirational post - now i can’t wait to dive in!

@enmoore66: Sure! Just email me at canary@weddingbee.com closer to your date and we can work it out. I don’t know what I’m going to do with birdcage card holders after the wedding. :)

Just to make sure, is this the 17″ birdcage from save-on-crafts? I’ve been eyeballing them, but didn’t know how big they would really be.

@monica: If you click through the link it’s the one that shows up first on the page. They’re a pair (21″ and 15″) but like enmoore66 said, I think they might be sold out. :(
