About Mrs. Jasmine

Yes, Mama Jasmine is at it again! Some of you might remember that we’re having a mehndi the night before the wedding at my parents’ home in Los Angeles. The mehndi will be an informal party for everyone with music, singing, dancing, food, and mehndi artists to decorate the palms and feet of our female guests. I’m really looking forward to it!

Traditional colors for a mehndi are green, yellow, and orange so we’re using that color palette for all of the decor. We ordered tables and chairs to set up in our backyard from an LA party supply store. We’re covering each table with orange and green linens. Then my mom found some amazing vases for $1 each and decided to decorate them herself. She found some whimsical orange paisley paper that she cut into strips. Then she attached orange ribbon around the strips and affixed them to the neck of each vase. Then she attached a silk flower to each one with a glue gun (the flowers were 60% off at Michael’s). She added her own orange accent to the middle of each flower.

I love how these turned out! We’re going to fill each vase with orange and yellow flowers on the night of the event– I think it’s going to be such a festive look!

And wait until you see what she created for our mehndi guestbook….that’s an upcoming post :)
