Beehive Only

May 21st, 2008 @ 12:05 pm by Mrs. Bee

Yesterday, Weddingbee reader Amysue commented that she wanted a way to filter out local posts when reading the boards.  You can actually do that already, by clicking on the beehive board.  But that link was a little hard to find, so BIL Bee added an easy way to click “all”, “beehive” and “nwr” buttons above each board page. These options were actually there all along, but now they’re a lot more prominent and easy to click!

Beehive Only : wedding announcements features Beehive Boards2.gif

If you click “all” you’ll see all the posts. If you click “beehive” you’ll see beehive posts. And if you click “nwr” you’ll see Not Wedding Related posts. Soon we’ll be adding a button for cultural weddings as well. Hopefully this makes navigating the Weddingbee Boards a little easier! Please let us know what you think! :)

Yes, thank you. My only complaint about making all of these new boards, is that it takes people away from the main boards, and all the individual boards have fewer people on them. This way, your available options are much clearer, definatly a help!

Yes thanks!! I found it difficult to find the normal beehive posts that I enjoyed reading so this is great! I happily found the button earlier today :)

@Candi1024: Yah totally… I totally agree. I loved reading the general interest Beehives, and wish all the posts were still in there :-).

But board traffic is significantly up and we’ve gotten a lot of raves about the feature, so I guess the users have spoken!

Is there any way to make “beehive” the default? Every time I go to the Boards, I have to click Beehive to get to it….

@Janna19: There isn’t a way to set the Beehive as the default. As we add more boards, we’ll definitely keep that in mind!
