My Second Piece

May 21st, 2008 @ 11:33 am by Mrs. Hydrangea

A couple of months ago, I entered for a chance to receive a hair piece from Castle Bride Couture at a fraction of the price and won!  Last weekend when I bought a second dress, the girls at Warren Barron happened to have pieces similar to the one that I ordered and it looked awesome with my dress.

So now, without further ado, I introduce you to my beautiful second hair ornament:

She custom made the piece for me, but when I first received it the flower had a lot of pink on it. There was pink on the pic of the flower that I liked from their site as well, but I didn’t notice it. I wrote her back and told her that it was awesome, but I wasn’t really a pink person. She kindly offered to have me send it back and they redid the flower to a solid ivory.

I am so excited because I think it will be a great addition to my second getup, and fun/funky to boot!

Are you all doing anything fun/different at your reception in terms of your bridal look?

i like it. i’ve been toying with the idea of dumping the veil and putting a nice silk flower in my hair in its stead.

Love it. I like to think my DIY mini-veil is unusual, but I might just be flattering myself. Ha ha!

for the reception, i will wear a silk flower for my hair that looks a lot like miss hydrangea’s. i bought it on Etsy, and it’s totally cute!

i’ve got a second dress for the reception, only because there would be no way to tango for our first dance in my wedding dress. it’s still up in the air if i’ll change back or not. other than that, i’ll take off the veil and have something simple and hopefully sparkly in my hair (the word has been put out for something borrowed among my friends & family - hopefully, i’ll be able to find something).

your hairpiece is fabulous! are you going to switch it in between the ceremony/reception?
