Adesso Photo Guestbook

May 22nd, 2008 @ 12:55 pm by Mrs. Penguin

Adesso Albums are a really convenient and clean way for you to instantly set up a Polaroid Guestbook. People have been in a frenzy lately since Polaroid announced that they were going to stop producing Polaroid instant film (they’ve already stopped producing the cameras) but as of now, the film is still readily available on websites such as Amazon.com and Staples.com. So if you’re getting married soon, Polaroid is still a viable option for you, and best of all, with its extinction it becomes a great novelty for you to look back on over the years to come!

Right now, their Anniversary Edition Albums are on sale for the same price as their regular albums ($60). The Anniversary Editions come covered in silk Shantung custom dyed Japanese fabric rather than the regular fabric on the Original Edition. The guestbook comes in a variety of colors.

I bought 2 albums (30 pages each) and 8 packs of Polaroid film (80 polaroids) for our guestbook.

Are you incorporating any fun gimmicks like photos in your guestbook?

I’m doing this for my guestbook too! I bought all different colored markers for the guests to use. Hopefully they all will take a pic and sign it!

I bought the film at Restockit.com The film is definitely not cheap. Luckily they offered a $20 off of $149 purchase. http://www.restockit.com/600-40-Exposure-Instant-Color-Film-Four-10-Exposure-CartridgesPack–(POL643877).html

I will probably not get the guestbook. I want my guests to write directly on the photo. I will make my own photo books later so that I can add more than one photo to a page. It also helps speed up the line as guests enter the reception!

i’m doing this too– i’m on the hunt for a scrapbook with black pages (but we’ll probably end up making our own).

any ideas about how much film is needed? we have 200 guests, and i know most people will get in photos together. so 100 photos? 150? hmm….

@nikkinicole: I bought 8 packs of 10 (so 80 shots) total for 120 guests…I’d probably go around 140 for 200 guests :) Most couples and families you’d assume would take pics together!

You know I had the Adesso. I ordered the black Ultimo leather one…it was a big hit and very cool.

This might be perfect for our photobooth guestbook… I wasn’t sure what to buy. The Kolo ones aren’t as fun. Thanks :)

Hiya Ladies,
I am definitely into this idea.. but when I was about to scour the planet for cameras I thought.. 1 or 2.. 1 or 2?!!?
I have 150 guests. I am leaning towards 2 just to speed things up- but would like to know for those who have used this idea before.. is two cameras worth it? or just stick with one?

Thanks guys! :D

@AulisIn08: I’m using 2…it will increase the chances of more people signing it, I think. One camera limits your guests to one at a time. I have 2 albums and 2 cameras. HTH!
