Nothing fancy schmancy but we needed table numbers for the Chinese banquet and wanted one that could give us space to write each guest’s name at each table, stood on its own, and showed the number. But I couldn’t find a simple tri-fold template online that I could use and make easily, so I created my own and it’s shared here for you all!!
I kept mine really really simple but you can use the template and dress it up in so many different ways! Here’s how it looked prior to printing it on Staples Cover Letter stock paper.

A blank side for our parents to write in our guest’s Chinese name. Names for our friends that we could print in English, we preprinted according to their table number.

With another blank side left, we used it to write our thank you’s. You can always use it to display the menu or anything else you’d like to share.

To make folding super easy, I measured and printed guidelines on the inside (backside) of the tent.

That little strip to the far right, put some permanent double sided tape, or use 3 strips (top, middle, bottom) of Super Tacky Tape to secure, and you’ve got a tri-fold free standing table number!

On the template, you will find 3 pages created in again, Powerpoint. Page 1 shows the border box I created inside each column and the lines where it should be folded. Page 2 are the lines to print and use as fold guidelines on the inside of the tent. And Page 3 is the template for the front of the table tent.
You can use tent in so many forms.
Examples:
1) Print the fold guidelines on a colored cover sheet like brown. Then print on a different colored cover sheet that’s pink, for example, in 7 3/4″ in tall and 3 ” wide columns for your table numbers, thank you’s etc. Cut and then tape them onto your colored tent to give it more texture, color and a border.
2) Print the fold guidelines on inside of your sheet. On the outside, you can print all your text, even use the border I created as a means to center your text and then remove it.
3) You can also stamp all over the sheet after you’ve printed your text so that your stamps “bleed” over the folds.
Go nuts with possibilities and make crazy amount of tents for your wedding! Here’s the template for you to play around with on your own! Enjoy!
i’ve been looking all over for a good quality double happiness character to use on printed materials– where did you find yours? thanks!
