Brooches Cost How Much?!?!

June 1st, 2008 @ 3:31 pm by Mrs. Coconut

When I thought that brooches would make a good gift for the moms, I had NO clue how much they would cost. I started my search on Ebay. There are always cheap things there, right? Wrong. I couldn’t find a brooch under $10 that was remotely pretty. Did I pick the wrong gift?

Then, I happened upon the fabulous knottie 99vintageglam, who suggested Pugster.com for brooches. WOW! I bought 7 brooches for $50 (including shipping). Yeah, super cheap AND super pretty.

Check ’em. I got these two for the moms, they are simple and beautiful!

I got some for the bridesmaids, thinking we could pin the sashes like this, but then we switched dresses (more on that later), so I’ll be returning them.

But look at this purple one, it’s to die for!

I collect vintage broaches that I find at garage sales and flea markets. It doesn’t sound very glamorous, I know, but some people have no idea what they’re getting rid of for super-cheap prices. Just a thought for those of you who have a little time on your hands to go on a treasure hunt!

@Leticia: It took about 4 days to arrive, and the service was great. As I said, I’m returning some of them, so I contacted them via email, and they are mailing me return envelopes.
