Ahem - we’re married! And we’re happy!! And we’re exhausted!!!
It was really just an amazing day. I had started to feel like nothing was going to go right, and I had started to worry that I wouldn’t properly enjoy our day. Amazingly, I really do feel like most everything was perfect, and I don’t know if there’s a picture of me where I’m not grinning ear to ear. Who knew!
The big question of the weekend has been - does it feel any different? Mr. BG’s response has been that his finger feels heavier. For me, it has struck me in two minor ways so far:
1. I have been holding Mr. BG’s hand for 6 and a half years now. It was a bit of a shock the first time I took his left hand and felt a ring there.
2. Soon before the ceremony, I was ready to get dressed but needed to make sure Mr. BG was okay with finishing the setup. I shuffled into the reception hall and asked, “where is my boyfriend?” (in our year+ engagement, I still sometimes forget to say fiancé). Later in the night, I ended up dancing solo and asked, “where is my… husband?” That made me giggle.
AND NOW I CAN START SHARING PICTURES!!! But before I do, let me just take a minute to explain our photography situation.
Mr. BG’s cousin’s husband, Justin, had graciously agreed to do our photography. This is not his profession. However, he was an AMAZING professional. After we took our posed photos, I literally did not see him, except socially, the rest of the night - yet he has (already) given us the 400+ photos he took, and he was there for EVERYTHING. I really could not be more pleased with how they turned out.
Now, in addition to our amazing photographer, we also had some key people shooting with their digitals nearby. I had given my camera to my bm’s husband, Jared, who took about 250 pictures… and on our flickr, we have already had two other groups of photos uploaded - one from one of my bms and one from one of our guests.

Awww, thanks all!! Yes, that beautiful little flower girl is my niece - isn’t she the cutest? I mean, she’s normally cute, but I could not get over her cuteness at the wedding.
