Something to Sit On

June 3rd, 2008 @ 11:06 am by Mrs. Jasmine

I’m happy to report that I’m blogging from sunny Southern California! I’m here to enjoy a wonderful, relaxing week at home before the big day and I’m getting so excited. I realized today that I never blogged about our ceremony and reception furniture, so I’m backtracking a little bit.

Our ceremony will be held at the InterContinental garden, underneath a billowing white canopy adorned with dark pink blooms. Mr. J and myself, along with our parents, will sit on the chairs below, swagged with complementary dark pink silk shantung:

Our reception will feature a sweetheart table on steroids, which I’ve posted about previously.

We’re going to have a shimmering gold canopy backdrop by White Night Designs (different than the one pictured) and a sofa underneath where guests can visit with us and take photographs. It’s sort of a modern twist on a traditional Indian reception look. Both the ceremony and reception furniture are being rented for a great price from Flowers by Manjit, a southern California Indian decor and floral company.

Are you using any special decorative furniture for your event?
