My Baby, She Wrote Me a Letter

June 6th, 2008 @ 2:04 pm by Mrs. Hummingbird

Joe Cocker always kind of looks like he’s in the process of having a stroke when he sings, doesn’t he?

Mr. Hum and I are not doing too many typical wedding things, but one of the things we are doing is spending the night before the wedding apart. In fact, unlike many couples nowadays who reunite for pictures and whatnot before the ceremony, we will remain apart from the time the rehearsal dinner ends until the time my friend John puts on the music and I start walking down the aisle.

So since we’re always together, I figured it would be nice, if we can’t say goodnight in person (Mr. Hum tucks me into bed every night), that I would write him a letter.

But what to put in? Well, I have to admit I took a cue from Miss Candy Corn’s recent posts (I am totally waiting for Part 3, lady!), in addition to the regular lovely dovey wedding schmoop people usually write in love letters, I am also including a list of reasons I love Mr. Hum. Not only does my list include 365 reasons (one for every day of the year), but I also threw in one more for good luck and because we’re getting married in a leap year.

Anyway, because the list’s contents are a surprise and because they are specifically for Mr. Hum, I am not posting them yet, but I finished it this morning and I am really stoked to give it to him. Thank you Miss C.C. for the inspiration! You are awesome!

Have you ever been inspired by a Bee and used an idea you read about on Weddingbee? Whose and what was it?

We ordered the Mii cake toppers after seeing your post on WeddingBee. My fiance is so excited for them, I think it’s his favorite part of the wedding.

That’s what we’re doing too because Mr. Candy Corn is all about not seeing each other. I’m pathetically like, how am I going to fall asleep without you there to calm me down though!? I suppose that’s what I have Ms. Betty White for! Oh, and part 3 is coming soon I promise! Yay, I’m so glad you made a list! Did it take you forever to come up with them all? I remember I sat at Borders for hours and just wrote and wrote and people looked at me funny, but I knocked the list out in a day :) And you are far more awesome pshh.

I am constantly inspired by all the Bees. We are making memory boxes similar to the ones Miss Cream Puff designed, and including wedding photos of our family and friends a la Mrs. Lovebug!

I totally stole Miss CC’s idea too :D Since FI and I have over a year til our hitchin’ day, I figured it would be sweet if I could give him a box of kisses and tell him he can only have one a day (partly to see if he can exercise self-control around chocolate, teehee).

You Bees inspire me every day! When I’m a growed-up (six months or less) bride, I wanna be juuust like you! :D

[...] already wrote about this, but the night before the wedding I am giving Mr. Hum a list of 366 reasons why I love him. I printed it out today and it ended up being 8 pages long, but I’m really proud I finished it [...]
