Dear Hive:How awful of me. I stopped posting back in April without so much as a proper goodbye (so this is it). But so much was going on. Since my wedding in March, I chopped off my long locks (yay!)…
and also suffered a miscarriage (cry). It is hard, yes, but such is life. And we haven’t given up on trying for baby again, not by a long shot (read all about it).
But I couldn’t just leave all you hopeful beautiful brides without a few last thoughts from this girl, who thought her wedding was heaven, who would do it all again at the drop of a hat (a top hat at that). May your own weddings be magic, too:
- Stealing time alone after I Do’s should be mandatory, whether you two are feeling kissy kissy or already (already!) plain exhausted
- At your first dance, the whole world should disappear

- At a Jewish wedding (especially your own), don’t miss the Hora. It may be the best time of your life (second only to the ceremony)
- Your dad may just puff up like a peacock when he takes you to the dance floor

- Your mom may rock that same dance floor so hard, she falls flat on her butt. She’ll keep dancing and laughing when she does

- People will dance at a daytime wedding. But it may require a conga line. Or some other corny dance you didn’t think you’d want to do, but then you do

- Little girls always love a bride

- And finally, finally: the end is only the beginning…

It has been an amazing honor to be a part of Weddingbee. Thank you for the privilege.
Always, Mrs. Petunia
