About Mrs. Pomegranate

My hair color has gone under a transformation in the past few years. I’ve been pretty happy with my blonde tresses for the past few months, but I’m still unsure about what color I want to wear on my wedding day. I’m a hair color chameleon - all three in variations look alright on me, so I can be flexible.

Which do you think looks best?

You are so lucky you look great in all three! JMO, but I think you look best as a blonde, glancing over the pics posted it definitely looked the most natural. Good luck deciding. :)

hi! I’m a hairstylist near Chicago, just thought I’d send you my professional opinion. You have the skin tone to look great in all three! My personal favorite is the red. BUT…I wouldn’t do it for the wedding. They say everyone’s most flattering hair color is that of when they were 5 years old. I could be wrong, but my guess for that for you is blonde. It depends on what your wedding style is. If you’re going for chic and trendy, i’d do red. if you’re going for soft and romantic, i’d do blonde. But not just any blonde. I’d do blonde with hints of caramels and strawberry blondes. That would be my choice!

I totally agree with everything Anna said above! I personally think you make a fabulous redhead but you should go with the haircolor that makes you feel most like you. When you look back on you wedding pictures 20 years from now, what haircolor do you think you’ll most connect with? I think if you choose to go blonde or brunette, I would definitely consider working in the warmer, reddish tones with highlights & lowlights. Like Anna said, strawberry blonde & caramel tones with the blonde. And auburns & caramels with the brunette. I love a girl who isn’t afraid of hair color!

I agree - the red is great (I’m a redhead, so am slightly biased), but the blonde looks very soft and feminine.

Oh, I would do the red for sure! My favorite photos of brides are always those who have soft makeup and red hair, it just looks so romantic!

I really like the red… but I also am a natural redhead so I might be biased too.

I guess I’ll throw out the oddball opinion here. I think you look great in all 3, but I like you best as a brunette. You look most naturally beautiful and it really highlights your great facial features. I feel like you get a little washed out in the blonde. Just my opinion.

I agree with Anna! I think the brunette color is great but makes you look too pale. It would call for heavier eye makeup on the day of and your eyes are so pretty that would be a shame. But…I do love me your redhead look something fierce! It’s stunning!

You look great in RED! more alive… brunette is a close second. I do agree with Michelle…a little washed out as a blonde…but only if I picture it with a white wedding gown.

All 3 look good.

I vote brunette — because your blue eyes look so BLUE against the brown hair, they really shine compared to the other pictures.

I like the brunette best as well, its the most natural looking, and it brings out your facial features. With the other options, you look beautiful, but I could tell in an instant it wasn’t your natural color… for something as lasting as your wedding pictures, you want to look back and now that it represents a lasting version of you.

I’m going to vote red too. But a more muted/subtle red.

I’ve been all three before too but for my own wedding I decided to be similar to my natural color (brunette) but a lighter, warmer color with some blonde highlights. I have two younger sisters and we all look very alike and I didn’t want to stick out like a sore thumb next to them in pictures. I mean I’m going to have these pictures for the rest of my life and I can’t change my hair color in them. I have very fair skin too and there are some wedding album pictures in my blog if you are interested.

HTH!

I like all three. The red is stunning with your eye color and fair skin. But, I vote for brunette. I think it would be kind of cute since that’s how you first met Mr. Pomegranate. :)

Blonde, definitely — or a strawberry blonde. I do not think the brunette is nearly as flattering.
