About Mrs. Magnolia

I don’t think y’all will mind, but I’ve decided to skip over the necessary-but-incredibly-boring family formal pictures that we took immediately after the ceremony. My parents and brother refused to smile for whatever reason, instead choosing the tight-lipped half-wince, while Mr. Mags’ family looked joyous and stunning. Seriously, you’d think my half of the aisle wasn’t thrilled by the union (they totally were, by the way!).

So if it’s okay with the hive, I’d like to move on to more fun pictures - namely, the portraits that the Mister and I took while running around downtown Atlanta before we were introduced at our reception.

It was right about this moment that I started to feel like Scarlett O’Hara. Ball gown? Check. Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta, Georgia? Check. Handsome, dashing man? CHECK!

Wait…they’re following us!

We paused on the corner for a smooch, and we found…an audience! As soon as passers-by spotted the big white dress, they started hooting and hollering - much to Mr. Mags’ extreme embarrassment!

What do you mean, everyone doesn’t dance in the middle of Peachtree Street on their wedding night?

And…..dip!

This picture is one of the few times I’ve been happy with the results of a fish-eye lens. Usually, they simply don’t do it for me, but when capturing me in a large poufy skirt and also attempting to show the scale of the buildings around us - it definitely works! (Since the picture’s kind of small, I’ll just tell you - the street sign we’re leaning against is Peachtree Street - OF COURSE.)

Look out reception, here we come!

Gorgeous Mrs. M! The more I see pics of you in that dress, the more I fall in love with it! There are definitely a lot of “framers” in that batch of photos.
