My Pseudo Hair Trial

June 10th, 2008 @ 1:15 pm by Mrs. Peacock

I absolutely loved the way that Livia Caporale styled my hair for Erin’s wedding.

I loved the style and the way it framed my face, without being in my face. I loved the products that she used. And I absolutely loved that it still looked pretty darn good 13 hours later, after crazy winds (there were tornado warnings), high humidity, 90 degree heat and lots of hugs. The wind was the most important factor in a potentially ruined style because we walked around Lincoln Park for almost two hours taking pictures. Yet, here are some photos that Mr. Peacock took for me when we got home at 1:00 am.

It’s not as perfect as it was at 10:00 that morning, but I think it still looks good! I am definitely bringing these with me to my hair trial. I am not using Livia for my wedding because I have a major crush on my stylist and I want her to do it, but I wanted to share her contact info with the Chicago brides in case any of you are looking for an excellent stylist for your wedding. She will travel to you, which is a major perk! Livia Caporale- 773-386-2699

Thank you so much for posting this! I am having major hairdresser stress and am literally having nightmares about having frizzy wedding hair! I’m going to call her right now.

LOVE the haristyles, so natural and pretty! Can I ask what she charges to do hair for the bridal party? I am a Chicago bride and am curious if it fits into my budget.

Livia did my hair for a wedding I was in last summer — it was $75 per bridesmaid (have no idea what she charged the bride). My hairstyle was ok — nothing special, though it did hold all day. The bride’s hair was great, though, and that’s what matters most!

@Dana: The dresses are in pear by Simple Silhouettes. There are more photos here: http://www.thorsenphotography.com/erin_jeff/

@Katie: I hope Endb answered your question. We did not pay for the hair, the bride did, so I am not totally sure. I know she is on the high end, but if there are only a few of you it might be worth it!
