He proposed exactly 1 year, 1 month and 6 days after our first date (it's the only part of his proposal speech that I remember), and we're planning long-distance from Los Angeles for a July wedding in my hometown of Monterey, CA. I have a passion for all things "cool, cute and quirky" and I enjoy video games, reading blogs (WeddingBee, trashy celeb, consumer & political) and crafting in my spare time, if I have any!

I am so relieved, these in addition to the Charles and Ray Eames stamps make me much happier than any of the 41 cent stamps did.

OMG!! I’m with you Miss P. The Eames stamps are out. Yippie, I am so excited. Maybe it is because I am a Furniture designer but stamps really do “make” the envelope. Just in time for my thank you notes.

@Miss Pineapple: I’m SUPER excited about those Eames stamps as well!

Go figure, I love this stamp but we’re using square envelopes (which means extra postage). I’d use it for our postcard RSVPs but postcard stamps are cheaper. I’ll have to get them for our Thank Yous though! :D

So when do they make 72 and 99 cent wedding stamps!? No bride I know has an invitation weighing only 1 oz. =)

Miss Pineapple says:

@rebecca: I doubt mine will weight less than 1oz, but my RSVPs certainly will. :)
But I agree, I wish they came in larger denominations too

I love the first stamp, unfortunately I’m stuck using the yellow heart or James Michener (umm, no) on my 59 cent requiring envelopes….at least it’s better than the old pink hearts!

im so happy! i did some crafty research a few months ago and have been waiting to send out my invites until this stamp came out! i have been making sure my handmade invites were just 1oz on purpose (which is pretty hard to do!)

So happy that there’s finally an attractive alternative to the good ole Liberty Bell Forever stamp!

I noticed that today is your first anniversary so Happy Anniversary, Mrs. L.

For any brides who want more choices, don’t forget about the world of custom bridal postage these days!

Keith says:

If the postal service was smart they would issue a “LOVE” stamp with a forever
designation (like the Liberty Bell) i.e.
“LOVE Forever”.

That would be perfect for wedding invitations !
