The Search is Over

June 11th, 2008 @ 11:48 am by Mrs. Flamingo

I am the happiest bride-to-bee - I finally found the 8mm videographer that I wanted oh-so much! My endless search to find a local 8mm videographer did not work out; I’ve checked every single company and no one offered this service. But I finally signed the contact yesterday, and the awesome Wes Jones of FilmJones is coming to Montreal just for me… I feel so special!

The Search is Over : wedding montreal videographer Picture0124

You’ve seen Wes’ work before both because Mrs. Snowpea and Mrs. Onion worked with him for their beautiful weddings.  It only makes me more excited because I’ve seen the quality of his work. If you are not familiar with his work, visit his website to check out his talent.

Now, remember that TV show I got chosen for? Well they will be doing an interview with Wes (in English of course) explaining what Super 8 is and why it’s so popular in the States (since it hasn’t made its way to Quebec yet). I’m happy that because of our wedding, we will be introducing Super 8 to our fellow Quebec-ers.

I am so psyched to finally have found a 8mm videographer - it was something truly important to me. Hurray!!!!!

(Thanks Mrs. Onion for all the help in my search)

Hey Miss Flamingo! Hooray — I’m so happy that you’re happy. Maybe after the TV interview Wes will be making many trips to Canada! I’m sure you’ll love his work and I’m so glad you were able to make this happen with your wedding so fast approaching. I’ll be thinking of you and waiting eagerly to see the footage!

Cheers,
Mrs. Onion

That is so great that you found an 8mm videographer- i love the look of 8mm. You are right it is so much more popular in the States, but a few great photographers also do it in Canada- two of them in Toronto- Justin Demers
http://www.justindemers.com and Mimmo and Naz.
Hope that helps out other Canadian brides to be.

That’s so awesome! Because of what I read on weddingbee, I had him come down to Jamaica to film our wedding in April and trust me, you won’t be disappointed. He was wonderful to work with! Congrats!

That’s great you are using Wes. We’re using him too for our wedding. He’s good about traveling to other places, and he seems like a cool guy to work with.

I’m happy for you that it all came together. Especially since it means we here at wb can see some of your day “in motion”! :)

(Hoping we can find a way to watch your TV show too!)

Ms. Flamingo,
(I also wrote this on your post about your invitations)
I love your chandelier idea!!!
It would go perfect with our wedding/ reception/theme since we’re having at a penthouse overlooking the city that has chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
I’ve been browsing online to look for the chandelier images, but cannot find any!
Can you let me know where I can find an image or send me a jpeg file that you used?
Thank you so much. My email is jennykim68 at gmail dot com.

@Marg:

Thanks Marg for the link. I just booked Still-Motion… as a surprise for my fiance. I was dead set against getting a cinematographer but I couldn’t resist after seeing their work.

Miss. Flamingo, I now know how you feel :)
