While Mr. Lovebug and I were posing for some fountain-side photos during cocktail hour, I suddenly remembered this adorable photo of the newly wed Mr. and Mrs. Onion:

Ridiculously sweet, right? You can almost hear the little *click!* of her heels neatly hitting the pavement. But the best part is Mr. Onion’s “and down you go, little lady!” expression.
With this shot in mind, I hopped onto the fountain next to where we stood. I instructed Mr. LB to “lift me down, cute-like” (well, I don’t know for sure what I said - but I can totally see myself saying that), and Chris snapped the picture.
People, what possessed me to think that my fountain hop would be anywhere NEAR as cute as that of a woman who has fingers the size of hors d’oeuvres, I really don’t know. But at least I have these lovely shots of Mr. LB struggling not to get flattened by me instead:
I only wish you could hear the guttural “whoa now!” grunts that went along with them. Really made me feel like quite the Tinkerbell.
Oh, and the utterly scary/bizarre shape of my boob in that last shot is just an added bonus for your Monday. Enjoy.

Yet again you cause me to nearly break a rib stifling my laughter at work… And I am sure that I’m not alone in that reaction.

Ha– I love it! Mr. Jasmine and I took photos on a fountain too and I *struggled* to get down because of the heaviness of my outfit and Mr. Jasmine’s general inability to lift me down gracefully. It was like he was heaving bricks. If there are pictures of that, I will have to post them, because I think Mr. J made a similar face

Well, I’m a very muscular/curvy girl & 5′10″, so I might hurt my FH, that weighs at least 20 lbs less than me if he had to lift me! (I try not to remember the exact weight difference!)
I’ll have to get creative to do CUTESY poses, but maybe just lots of leaning our heads/foreheads together since we are the same height!?

I think your posts are inspiring a new contest: the ugly/inappropriate work laugh! About 3 people just turned around and stared at me wondering why the “spreadsheet” open on my desktop caused my mouth to get all twisted, my eyes to watering, and my entire body to convulsing.

Ha! I love that you show the unedited pics as well as the ‘wow, that should be in a magazine’ ones. You know why? Because it shows you’re real people. Real people who pull faces and have occasional freaky boobage and laugh until milk comes out of their nose. And when real people are as happy and in love as you two, it doesn’t matter
p.s. if it makes you feel any better, I’m sure the strain on Mr Lovebug’s face was due to the weight of the dress, not you. And I’m sure the sight of you made him weak in the knees

I actually bust out laughing at this picture, at work! The girl in the cubicle across from mine AND the guy next to her just popped their heads out and asked what I was laughing about. Good thing my boss wasn’t walking by!

Ha, takes me back to our engagement pics — our photographer is 5-foot-nothing, and I think that influenced her many directions for Mr T to swing me around or lift me in the air or whatever…. Meanwhile I’m 5′10″ and not exactly petite, so there were lots of strained faces in our pics as well!
(More accurately … Me: WHEEEE! Mr T.: AAAARGH!)
