Mr. Lovebird just got back from his bachelor party this weekend with his boys and from what he tells me~ it was a blast! The guys really put a lot of time and effort into planning an awesome bachelor party weekend for him in Miami, and I’ve asked them to share with the hive. Commentary by our groomsman, Oliver and pictures by our groomsman, Young:

I have been given the privilege/duty of recapping the bachelor party of Mr. Lovebird for Weddingbee. As you may already tell, I am uber enthusiastic about this task…. Entries like these are far too rare to cheapen with heavy handed words, so as they say let’s cut to the chase. The bachelor party took place in Miami, so all the groomsmen hopped on a plane bright and early Friday morning from Newark to Miami. Our hotel, the Loews was pretty awesome since it was so central to all the hot spots.
I thought it’d be a really nifty idea if the participants would all wear matching t-shirts from one of the greatest movies of our generation - Top Gun. That being said, we all chose call signs.
(BMW) - Best Man Wong was Viper
Yours truly - Oliver was Maverick
George was Ice Man
Jon was Hollywood
Henry was Slider
Young was Stinger
and of course Mr. Lovebird was “Take Me To Bed Or Lose Me Forever”. (For those who don’t know, that’s a famous quote from Top Gun.) It was a nice flattering baby-T.
On the plane ride, and in the clubs we garnered lots of attention. “What’s up with those Top Gun shirts?” to which we replied “BachelorParty” and pointed to Mr. Lovebird.
Besides, that’s what we wanted - lots of attention thrown Mr. Lovebird’s way. Plus it was a great way to talk to the lovely ladies. Awesome in.
Miami was a great trip, a great blend of frolicking in the ocean, playing in the pool, eating, relaxing….
The blocks in Miami are deceptively long so even though you may say oh it’s only two blocks away, be prepared to walk for 5 minutes for those of you who are planning to go to Miami.
As for the partying it was awesome……from what I remember. The first night we went to Mansion, and even got to run into some nice looking girls….
The second night, we dined at The Forge.
We also managed to celebrate BMW’s birthday since it so happened to be that weekend.
Then it was off to Prive, this ultra-lounge with two stories. A picture says a thousand words…. so here are a couple thousand of them.
Truth be told, I do not remember half the nights since I don’t pace myself well at all and the nights were a blur, but that’s what made it a great weekend….
Damn alcohol amnesia…. Anyway, Miami is truly a city full of clubs for the beautiful - and since we were in the hot clubs, logically it only makes sense that the Lovebirds have a beautiful - nay stunning bridal party. Who am I, the scribe, to argue?
Miami is a great spot, a lot of fun. I’ve been to Mansion and Prive myself and had a blast there. It was surprisingly very hard to get in. Looks like fun.
