Cheapie Evening Bags on the Web

June 17th, 2008 @ 6:09 pm by Mrs. Tulip

You know how people often have a strange talent they’re much too proud of? My personal skill is knowing inexpensive sources for everything. So I’m always a bit horrified to come across a source I’ve never heard of — shakes the whole mental foundation….

Such was my reaction in seeing a Nicole Lee Collection evening bag in a recent issue of Brides. The price they listed was 30-odd dollars. But it’s now on sale for $7.50!

Even their high-end evening bags are under $40:

And where was this $7.50 model when my mother needed a bronze bag for our wedding day?

Did you people know about this? What other fabulously inexpensive resources (bridal or otherwise) might I be missing out on? Please share!!

A great source for beauty products is adiscountbeauty.com. It’s worth signing up for their emails, b/c they send out 15% off coupons on a regular basis and always have good sales ($5.95 OPI polishes!).

The site itself is a little low-rent, but once you get used to navigating it, it’s worth it for the savings. Plus, you can buy a lot of “professionals only” products on the site as well.

I tried to buy the last one you posted for my mommy to use at the wedding, but they won’t let you check out unless you’re buying $10 or more :( They should just make the purse $10 then. Poop.

Thanks for the info on the purse sale! I just ordered bags for me and my bridesmaids! Hope they like them and use them again but if not they were so inexpensive the money isn’t a total waste- one night= $10 what a deal =)

fyi to the other girls,

before i could comment, i rushed over to the site to check it out….fell for 2 bags, and started the checkout process. the shipping was a lot mroe than i expects. for 2 bags they want $9 in shipping. ballooning my balance up to $24.

i’m holding off for now, bc the shipping seems kinda high for my taste. perhaps its a better deal if you are buying multiple bags?

thanks Tulip for this site! i will be watching it.

Thanks for the tip! I bought my bridesmaids clutches to match their dresses! Great deal, only $7.50 each x 6 girls! The shipping was only $13.50!

Thanks for the reports on real-life use, everyone! (I had wondered about shipping, GetMarried4Less, and that $10 policy is a strange one, griffen. Sounds like it’s works out best when you buy a handful for all your ladies, like Michelle and thompsoc75!)

And beanchar, I spent way too long on that beauty site yesterday and have bookmarked it for later purchases. Thanks!

For makeup you can check out beautycrunch.com– my lastest addiction. They have stila, duwop, toofaced, etc for 40-60% off sephora prices. Not all new items are there but they have tons of fun stuff.
