I actually had my bridal shower a few weeks back, but I was waiting to get all the pictures before I posted. My bridesmaids threw me the most wonderful bridal shower ever!!!

I was all smiles that day. The bridesmaids had the hardest time putting that crown on my head. I was like, “Um, it keeps falling off.” Then MOH goes, “Well duh, it’s made for a four year-old! Sorry, but that’s all I could find at the store.” No worries, I had it on for some of the bridal shower and all of the bachelorette party that followed (more on that later). Now onto the delicious grub…mind you, everything was homemade!!!

Reminds me, I need to get that pigs-in-a-blanket receipe from Michelle.
Then it was time for more fun and games. First up, we had our own version of toilet-paper bride in the sense that we didn’t use any toilet paper, haha. Give the girls a break - they’re relatively new at this and I think their version kicks the traditional version’s butt. Instead the materials consisted of a white plastic tablecloth, streamers in my wedding colors, colorful pipe cleaners and feathers.

Here I am with the three lovely brides: Vivian, Love and Mrs. Bee
Vivan’s team was going for the Grecian Flapper Look. Love’s team was going for the J. Crew beach bride look and Mrs. Bee’s team was going for the 80’s look, puffy sleeves and all!
Man, picking a winner was tough. I wished I could have picked all of them! In the end, I had to go with Mrs. Bee’s team. Those puffy sleeves were a riot!

Next up, we played wedding-themed Scattergories!
The categories were: Flower, Party Song, Honeymoon Destination, Cake Flavor, and Registry Item

It was so fun to see what people came up with. The letters that I ended up choosing out of the bowl were A, P and B (I threw back the Z I had picked out~shhh). Once again~ Mrs. Bee won. I mean it’s wedding scattergories for pete’s sake~ shocker! Mrs. Bee didn’t need another prize~ which was a cute little rubber ducky, so we gave it to my newlywed friend, Michelle, who was second place.
Then it came time for the gifts. Man, time flies when you’re having so much fun!

From the tame….

To the not so tame…

Then came time for dessert! We had smores! A throwback to our college days when we hung out at Cosi! Yummm….

Thanks to my wonderful bridesmaids for planning the best bridal shower ever! And thanks to all my wonderful girlfriends that came out and for the wonderful gifts!

Oh, last but not least the favors!

I’m allowing myself to eat only a few pieces a day since once they are gone, they will be gone forever. They are homemade white chocolate covered preztels in our wedding colors! I love my girls. Apparently they had their very own crazy candy shop the night before with a nutty assembly line cuz these suckers were hard to make! Man, I wish I was there! You guys are the best friends a girl could ever ask for!
And I know I’m supposed to wait to the rehearsal dinner, but I gave my bridesmaids their gifts after the shower. I got each a Coach Soho Large Flap Hobo bag to fit each of their styles. I wasn’t lugging them all the way to Cancun! A showering of gifts all around!

Did anyone else feel like it didn’t really feel real until your bridal shower? I remember sitting there and thinking, “Oh my gosh, all these girls are here for me because I’m getting married….I’m getting married….”
