Girls’ Weekend

June 20th, 2008 @ 11:34 am by Mrs. Tiramisu

My bachelorette party is this weekend! I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world that all of my bridesmaids (well, except for my 12 year-old little sis), as well as two of my best friends from grad school, will be joining me at the Jersey shore for the weekend! My maid of honor Carolyn has done most of the work to put the event together, and much to her credit, has managed to keep the nosy bride (that’d be me) out of it. I’m pretty sure that the girls have a few surprises in store.

I think that it was only to keep me from bugging her about what I could do, but Carolyn agreed to let me put together favor bags for all of the girls. I took a little a lot of inspiration from Miss Peacock. Thanks, Miss Peacock!

I was lucky to stumble onto a HUGE sale at L.L.Bean, and got personalized mini boat and tote bags for everyone.
Then I filled them up with a few goodies: candy, lip gloss, body scrub, a wine charm, and a mix CD.
I hope everyone likes them! I’ve heard rumors of matching t-shirts, Mexican food and margaritas, so I am one excited bachelorette. ;) Mostly I’m just excited to see all of these girls who are spread out all along the east coast.

What did you do for your bachelorette party?

We did a pub crawl last weekend– all over my neighborhood in Chicago. It was great, perfect for me. All my friends came in and we just drank beer all day.

Ooh those are exactly what I’m looking for!! I’ve been searching everywhere! Are the pink ones the wild orchid and lime combo? Is it a bright pink in person? Thanks for the help!!!

Those totes are cute!

We had a day of wine tasting in Santa Barbara / Los Olivos. We rented a mini van & hired a driver. After 4 wineries we went out to dinner. It was a perfect day!

Have fun this weekend!!!!

[…] off, a humble little confession- I am a blatant Miss Peacock idea-stealer! It started with her goody-bag idea, but it didn’t end there. I mean how cute were the tank tops that she made for her friend […]
