Bushkill Falls

For the adventurous couple, who prefer camping and hiking over laying on the beach and sipping pina coladas. Bushkill Falls, located near the Poconos is called The Niagara of Pennsylvania. We joked that it certainly wasn’t the scale of Niagara Falls, but we enjoyed it all the same. It reminded us how Niagara Falls used to be the HOT honeymooning spot once.
The falls are even named “Bridal Veil” falls and “Bridesmaids” falls.
(photo is taken from far away) Although it isn’t as grandiose as Niagara Falls, it was a wonderfully peaceful hike. We found it really romantic and gave us time to get in touch. Our pre-cana counselors told us how you don’t find true intimacy until you two can be comfortable with silence. This was the perfect “post-moon”.
There are plenty of activities including rowing, fishing, golfing and if don’t want to camp, there are resorts and cabins near by including Fernwood Hotel and Resort.
