About Mrs. Peony

I think it’s about time I come out of the woodwork and post some vendor reviews, don’t you think? winky09

Hiring Christine Viola of Exquisite Affairs Productions was one of the best decisions I made. Being such an anally retentive control freak, it usually takes a force of nature for me to trust someone enough to completely hand over the reigns…Christine was that force, and much more.

A month before the wedding, Mr Peony and I met with Christine to go over all the details. She took extensive notes, asked us questions we hadn’t even thought of, and BAM! A few days later, she emailed us the most meticulous and detailed timeline for the big day (not to mention, it was beautiful as well).

“Christine, I thought I was anal! I bow down to your list-making skills!” I emailed back.

During the next few weeks, we made numerous changes to our timeline, asked her stupid questions, and even had a florist who refused to call us back. Christine took it all in stride and handled everything perfectly.

On the day of the wedding, she arrived with a rolling suitcase behind her, dressed professionally, and with a big reassuring smile on her face. She worked wonderfully with all our vendors, never intruding (unless required), and always making sure that Mr Peony and I were happy along the way.

As the wedding party left the hotel to take pictures at Central Park, she stayed behind to wait for the guests who would be taking the bus to our venue. The bus ended up being almost an hour late due to the crazy traffic that weekend (the Pope was in town), and so she made the decision to leave for the venue before the bus, but only after making sure that the bus was only a few blocks away.

I had warned my bridal party that they would fall in love with Christine, and I was right. My bridesmaids all crowded around her and we raided her suitcase on more than one occasion. My sister (my MOH), impressed by the breadth of materials available in that suitcase joked, “Christine, do you have unicorns in there too?” and she replied, “Of course! And leprechauns, and fairies, and rainbows…”

I’m sure there were many problems and mishaps during the course of the wedding day, but I honestly didn’t notice a thing! Every time I started to worry or panic, Christine swooped in and talked to me in that calm voice, making me feel invincible and carefree.

I would recommend Christine and Exquisite Affairs Productions in a heartbeat. Definitely, honestly, completely, and 110% happy with her and her services. A+++!
