Trying to plan a wedding in a new city, not to mention a new country, is tough, but the fact that we can get legally married here more than makes up for it! The wedding will be an opportunity for most of our family and friends to see our new city for the first time so it will be both a wedding and a reunion. Besides my future wife, I am also madly in love with a good bargain, Swedish pastries, Tivo, and my two dogs and calico cat (in no particular order).

About Mrs. Gingerbread

I *Heart* Sumotech!

June 26th, 2008 @ 12:10 pm by Mrs. Gingerbread

If I could only have one beauty product on my wedding day, it would be Bumble and Bumble’s Sumo Tech, hands down. I ran out of it shortly after moving to Vancouver, but decided that I should get a hold of some with the wedding quickly approaching. I grabbed some up just in time for our engagement photo shoot. Phew! Man, I forgot how much I love this product. It’s a must have for a short haired bride who wants good hold that is light weight and gives plenty of texture and shine.

If you could only have one beauty product on your wedding day, what would be your must-have item?

Just one?!!? Ha, probably my brown eyeliner from MAC. It’s awesome. Or Clinique City Block SPF 40. :-) By the way, I didn’t comment yesterday but you and Miss GB 2.0 looked gorgeous in the photos you posted! Really lovely!!

Only one?? Uhm, can I have…”face makeup?” lol.

If I have to do my own makeup (TBD) I would have to have ‘Some Kind of Gorgeous’ foundation by Benefit. SO light, so easy to apply and evens out my skin without making me look like I’ve been covered in putty…

I’m with Ley. :-)

But thanks for the great tip… I’m going to chop my hair in a couple of weeks and will need to get re-acclimated to doing a short ‘do. You rock that short hair, especially in those great e-pics! Thanks for sharing your beauty secret.

Clinique High Impact Mascara! I know Clinique is not the best but I just can’t quit it.

I am loving your 1-2 sentence product reviews! And yes, I am taking note of things I want to try. Thanks for sharing :)

I loved Sumotech when my hair was as short as yours! Best stuff, hands down (well, besides some Japanese wax I could only get from one salon in NY…). Just ONE product? Oh man… I guess I would go with some Kohl eyeliner… and does lip gloss count? I say no. So those two.

I ran out of my $4/tub DISCONTINUED hair product (Garnier Fructis Soft Curl) a few months ago and was devastated… I think I’ve gone through 50 different 6-times-more-expensive curly hair products, but this one’s the best for my hair–and one tub lasts several months! I stalked eBay until I found 6 tubs, which are now sitting pretty in my bathroom. Maybe they’ll start making it again by the time I run out…

As for the product I couldn’t live without… sheesh. I change products so often that I don’t have that many specifics, but my Shiseido eyelash curler (I like it more than the Shu Uemura one) and some kind of waterproof mascara are standbys.

DEODORANT. =) Aint being funny either, having to hug that many people in one day …. Best to smell good.

Ha, Sumotech sounds like a 90s Internet-Co name. Like something out of Office Space….

As for one makeup product? Lip gloss! I even put on lip gloss when I’m home alone with no one but the cats to impress. It’s more about texture than looks — dry lips make me crazy!!!

Moisturizer! But that’s only because I now know how to curl my eyelashes with a spoon thanks to one of the other lovely ladies! :D
